Either starting a new ticket or an Invision update to a ticket has not produced any email notifications in the last two days. A new ticket today which I created successfully and a reply to a previous ticket by Invision yesterday produced no email notifications.

Hello, I am trying to solve some issues myself, without troubling support and community. So I try to use search feature in this forum. It is not really usable and often does not make sense: 1. When I am looking for search phrase like "import from coppermine", I get any topic where import OR from OR coppermine appears. I appreciate, especially, search results mathing the single word "from". :) 2. When nothing is found and I try another search phrase I am always have to wait 20 seconds. I apologize if I've missed something painfully obvious, but there don't seem to have been any point upgrades for the last few updates, i.e. I don't see a 3.0.3 => 3.0.4 upgrade package, only the full download (which takes considerably longer to update).

When I upgraded to 3.0.3 I noticed a horrible change in loading times. I tried a couple of tickets, but nothing got resolved. The staff just kept telling me to disable all my hooks and add-ons till it was the stock software. Now after upgrading to 3.0.4, the loading times are amazing. In what I tried to tell them in tons of tickets was right. It was IPB 3.0.3 that caused the problems, because 3.0.4 made my board speed up incredibly. Thanks guys, love the speed now :)

This is something that has been a "design" since version 1.3 (iirc), and shouldn't be. If you have the debug options set to '1' or higher, it showed the page generation time, number of queries, server load, and if gzip is on. However, the server load will always be '--' unless you have set a server load limit. Personally, I think this should be changed, so that it always displays the server load, providing the debug setting is there. (I posted this as a bug, but it was closed, and I was told to post here instead) So what do you think?

Sort of like Out of Office messages, this could be kind of handy. I could see it being used by admins of busy forums to indicate the correct way to contact the organisation, or just letting people know you're on holiday when you vanish for a bit.

When I upgraded from IPB 2 to IPB 3 couples months ago, I am not getting many new members much anymore and even some active members stop using it.. my forum died pretty badly. When I got some feedback from the users, I realise the new default skin put them off. Most of them felt the new skin is commercial/business style and it does not suit the celebrity (sport) fans community. So which Skin do you recommend (something similar to IPB 2 Skin) as long its regular updated.

When comparing vbulletin to IPB, it seems to me that IPB's advantage is its development of supported products and addons. It would be very useful if you could post an overview of release dates of major versions and new software. It will show us vbulletin customers what IPB's development speed is.

I don't know if this has been suggested before and its also nothing important but i wanted to mention it. Especially in the first days when i made all the settings in the ACP it happened several times that i had problems to set the things the way i wanted to. This wasn't because of a bug in the ACP but because of the way the Settings are lined up. Im used to it, that on one column there is a "yes" or "enable" Setting and the other column contains the "no" or "disable" setting. I noticed that when i tick "Allow posters to view other member's topics" to NO, users cannot see Pinned topics. Pinned topics should be seen IMO since nobody would pin a useless topic. I'd like to see an option or have it default to let users see Pinned topics when "Allow posters to view other member's topics" is set to No on a forum.

I just purchased all the applications for IP.Board 3.0.4. This is my first install, and I just uploaded all the files for Board, Blog, Gallery, Downloads, & Content. - Wow, this took a while to upload all directories & files. Plus, I can see where human error can come in and someone can accidentally upload files into the wrong directory. - You have to pay attention to what you are doing! I believe this will also be the case on future upgrades. My thought is: Why not eliminate the human error factor. I've just noticed this yesterday since my license is nearing it's expiration date or renewal date. I lost access to my license settings and cannot get my license key, spam service key, change site URL and save FTP info. The fact that my account is almost on the inactive members list must not mean i lose access to those info. I know it's easy to file a ticket for those information but its a bit of a hassle for staff members to bother with such small cases. I was thinking of saving the keys in a text file and save it somewhere safe but i don't think it will be unless its on the customer panel where it should be. Anybody else thinking the same way? Just been looking thought my trashcan and there are a couple of posts and threads that have been deleted by staff that I would like to restore. Is it possible: [*]to see who deleted the post/thread [*]force a reason for deletion comment [*]allow an admin (or approved group) to restore the post/thread back to where it came from (currently it looks like you have to move it back and therefore guess the location)

I would suggest removing the thanks page that you see after you update you status using the statuses hook and just have the hook use an AJAX refresh with your new status. I find it annoying to update my status then have to view the thanks page. I think that using AJAX could make this nicer.

Every single spammer that I get seems to have a gmail account. They all post about dvd converters etc. I would love a way to restrict people that come from gmail accounts. I do not really wish to ban them, otherwise I risk blocking genuine users. Sadly the built in spam software never picks up these people and always marks them as probably not spam. Thanks.
