Posted October 16, 200915 yr I noticed that when i tick "Allow posters to view other member's topics" to NO, users cannot see Pinned topics. Pinned topics should be seen IMO since nobody would pin a useless topic. I'd like to see an option or have it default to let users see Pinned topics when "Allow posters to view other member's topics" is set to No on a forum.
October 17, 200915 yr I agree, that doesn't make sense that pinned topics wouldn't be visible in this case. :)
October 17, 200915 yr Author Announcements seem to work fine and are visible. But announcements are very different from Pinned topics.
October 19, 200915 yr Hmm. I can see your point, but I don't necessarily agree. Consider this - I'm using a forum with this option as a "ticket system", where naturally I don't want anyone (but admins/mods) to see all topics. I might want to pin a topic ("ticket") to set it as priority, or to remind myself to address it the next time I visit. I wouldn't be able to do that if we implemented what you are suggesting. I think announcements are generally sufficient for this purpose.
October 19, 200915 yr Author I understand, but that's why i said id like to have an option for this. Maybe an option per forum/sub forum or the ticket system?
