When clicking on Admin CP on the board index, it opens in the same tab/window (unless the code's modified to have it open in a new window). When in the ACP, you can click a link in the top left (I think), which will take you back to the board index. However, when you've logged out of the ACP, there's no link, which will take you back to the board index so you have to either edit the URL or use your favourties (if the board index is listed there). So, can there be a link on the Admin CP "signed out" page that will take you back to the board index? :) That is of course unless this is now a feature in 3.0.4?

Is there any way to not show/load all the smileys in the chat? Like in the forums, you have a show all button, but in the shat all smileys are loaded, and that takes some time.

Reference: There were too many replies in the previous topic to get my full point across. But seeing as how IPS has adopted the "Links System" mod, why not adopt the Shoutbox mod and simply help the devs improve this as well. No offense to you guys, but not only is it capable of being used on one's own hosting/server, but it can take hundreds (possibly thousands) online at the same time. (An issue which arises when people ask to host IP.Chat by themselves) I don't see why you make another chat room mod that requires a connection to your servers, and is limited to 5 (lol?), but shoutbox is local, and has no limit. I don't care if I have to pay for the shoutbox, but …

When I bring up "View New Content", there are the various tabs (forum, gallery, etc), each of which can have new content... As it's set up now, if you brought up the forum tab and saw new content there, it'd be very easy to overlook new content on any of the other tabs unless you specifically looked at each one. I wonder if someone could add a feature or hook that puts the # of new items on each tab that has content? Essentially, a "2" or whatever number of new items, right on the relevant tab. At the moment I miss stuff on the calendar, blogs and gallery, getting lost in forum posts. :( Anyway, I think this would be a nice addition, 2 cents delivered. :)

Hello, i know that there are many topic about IE6 support under IPB3. I know that IE6 is a very old browser as well. But the fact is, that many companies haven't switched to a modern browser and don't allow the users to install a modern one. I have 27.000 members on my board and about 7.000 unique users a day, mostly german guys. The use the following browsers: 50% firefox 7% IE6 14% IE7 14% IE8 8% Opera 7% other Browsers That means that 490 users don't get the full user experience every day. I'm attempting to reproduce a problem that was reported, and in order to do so we need something like 20 people in the chat room. If some of you see this and could join now (over the next hour or so) it would be appreciated. :) You can open the chat room in a new tab and then continue on with your business - you don't actually need to be active. TIA

Everytime I try to remove the IPS Chat service, it says Driver Error. I am very frustrated about that. Is there ANY other way to remove the application other than going through the Admin Panel?

I have upgraded from v3.0.4 to v3.0.5 in a Multi-Language site and as always hapen, it has happened again and the process has stopped in step 7 / 14 again... I always receives similar messages as the received today... Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 92 bytes) in /home/invision/public_html/ips_kernel/classDbMysqliClient.php on line 461 And I do have enough memory in my host... The multilanguage IPB sites continues being a great lack in IPB... :blink: If I try to import a language, it also gives me problems... :(

One feature that IPB needs is some kind of install that integrates the forum into joomla and the skin in joomla, Kunena does this well which is a board add on for joomla and IPB should really do something similar. Having to pay for a Joomla skin, then again having to pay an IPB coder to code the same exact skin is really a waste of time and money, if IPB had a simple integration method (not just account integration) We would not need to double code or double pay. The problems I have run into having or trying to have some code a skin (even when I had permission from the author) was that the IPB coder did not want to re-code the skin or template to IPB or port it becaus…

When clicking the sending pm icon in topic view and we get that liteTM version would be cool if there was a option to send it to the main pm area (carry over message and who your sending it to). Would give us access to adding more recipients if we needed to or use the full editor.

If I choose to managed friends so that I want to approve everybody, I never get an indcator that there is a queue. So people who want to be friends think I'm just ignoring them? In the member drop-down beneath where currently say "Messenger (X new)", it would be good if it said "Manage Friends (Y pending)" or something like that.

So we have 2 options: -since last visit -all unread Problem with first option is that when my members go to work/school/uni and they log in they start new session and view new content is not showing them anything. All unread comes then to do rescue, but once you read something its gone from that list. What i thought is just make something like it was in 2.3.x which was showing all unread posts/topics and they were staying there untill you press "mark all as read". :) Or maybe there is some setting in acp that is making my forum behave like this?

Just the other day, my forums had a spammer on, and he posted 50 topics in a matter of 15-20 minutes, spamming for another site. At the time, no admins or moderators were online. I would love an option to select who can flag spammers from their profiles, maybe in member group settings. I have a few dedicated members (who have been with me for five years) who I could trust doing this, and I'd create a new group for them, possibly a secondary group, that had these permissions. Therefore, the next time this happens, I could have non-staff members flagging spammers (disabling their posting abilities), and it would also be a way to keep them stealth, as they would still …

I had a thought for a new feature that I believe would be useful to some people. There is always the case where a person posts but the topic fit more than one forum. Members will either post the same topic in both forums or a moderator will move the topic as they feel fit. My suggestion is to add an option to allow the topic to be cross posted in several forums. Technically you would add a mysql field (or make the current forumid field a comma separated list) that would contain the corss posted forumid's. The default would be the current forum but members would be allowed to add more forums the topic would show up in (max limit set by the ACP). I think that technic…
