I wish it was possible to have a task run 3 or 4 times a day, as in 'Every 6 hours'. For one of the tasks I made, once a day really isn't often enough, but once an hour is excessive.

The idea would be to remove the language bar just like you can with the theme dropdown menu from within the ACP. I know this is possible via skin edits but not what I am looking for.

Hello, just like the "Watched Content" hook, with "Topics" and "Forum" tab, i would like to have a "Recently Added Content" hook, with a "Topic" and a "Post" tab, but in ajax, so that whenever someone make a new post it will refresh without reloading the page. Hope you can take it into consideration!

Since upgrading to 3.0.5, I get lots of emails in my Inbox every day because Members click to Reply, rather than clicking the link they should reply to. This caused the email to be sent to the emai set in the Board's Outgoing Email address (me). It would really help prevent this if the "Do Not Reply" text at the very bottom of the email was moved up to just above the actual email's text. Everyone who has replied to my, "FYI - I got this in my email. Brian" - email said they sent from a iPhone/Blackberry type phone, and the screen is so small they didn't see the "Do Not Reply" text at the bottom of the email. Current email formatting example:

Don't know if this was already suggested, but thought of this since my messages box is getting packed I would like to move current conversations to a new folder, would this be possible in 3.1?

I like the ability to put rules at the top of my forums, but it would be nice if my users could collapse them. Maybe something like that spiffy new announcement on the board index here? How it disappears for a few days and then comes back.

So i got a request on my forum for a feature I couldn't figure out. Maybe there's an addon out there I didn't find through my intitial search, or a way to do this within IPB, but I couldn't find it. What I'd like is to show people in my friends list as a different color at the bottom of the board that lists all the members, similiar to how moderators are all a certain color. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Could we have more sharing options at the end of a thread where it says... Could we have Twitter, Facebook, etc (social bookmarks)?

I was just thinking, adding a setting flood control to the status updates would be an idea. :) Possibly take the value and group settings already used, or maybe it would be best with its own settings.

I'm pretty sure there's no option I missed in the ACP, but it appears that the forums only automatically resize tags in posts, but not in the users signatures. Also, I know there's an easy fixed by editing a few files, but it might be nice having the search results for member's topics/posts etc... be a little larger than 200.

I'm not sure if I just over looked this, or if its really not there. Some times users go back and edit things, be it bad wording, saying something bad and tanking it back, or something else. We have a "Show 'Edit by' line" that the user has to check off first. I feel this should always be on or have a group permissions settings. Another thing that would be nice is post caching of recent edits for mods. We don't need to keep them in the system for long maybe a days or something would work.

Hi, I've noticed the option to: Automatically subscribe to every forum But you can imagine the horde of unwanted emails people get, so is it possible to add another option to automatically subscribe members to every topic they create please? There is an option for them to subscribe manually but would be better in a lot of cases for them to automatically be subscribed - then ubsubscribe shouold they want to. Cheers, :)

If an admin or mod has the right to post in html then it would be nice if that permission was also with them when they edit a post made by another member. Currently there is no way to edit their post and add html to that post. Depending upon whether they could still edit their post afterwards the html would stop working if they edited it of course. In most cases of ordinary members their rights to edit the post would end anyway. Either that or have the ability to make a post that would appear above their post in a topic. So if we wanted to make a detailed post at the start of a long thread, we could either edit the opening with HTML or probably more ethically make…

I have the 20 member chat installed on my forum, I wish there was an option to where a person who joins the chat room CAN NOT see what is being discussed. There should be an option to set so many post where a new chatter can see once they have join the discussion. Also a private chat is also asked about on my forum. Thanks

I know this may sound old school But it would be nice to see the report center and the warning panel merge into a Mod CP. while inline editing and modding is easy its a little harder to keep track of the warning panel. As it kinda is off on its own. It would also help track of warned members and keep mods tools and options in one place. Also while allowing more control over what mods can access. While offering more resources for mods. Such as a mod note pad and so on. Mybb has a good example of this. Another suggestion for the warning system. Change the color of the warning bar and increase its size its easy to miss it. The warning buttons are also a little small. Ora…

First, I think that "Login Page Information" and "Registration Form Info" should be language bits, not in the settings. If someone chooses to view a different language, then if they don't understand the language it's typed in, it won't do them any good as a setting -vs- a language bit. Next, whenever the guidelines or Terms & Rules are changed, would be nice to have a copy of what it used to be. Basically, a log of changes along with the dates/times of the changes (much like a wiki). Then anytime that either are changed, be able to require members to agree to the updates before continuing to use the site/board. Keep a log of each date/time (and IP address) that…

Sorry to bother but I can not even see the chat let alone use it. When I try to start it I get: [#CSTART-0] There was an error connecting with the chat room. Please notify an administrator. What did I do wrong? Please help. Cheers. Carlo

All the screenshots uploaded to the download system here show as very, very small... like 10px by 10px?

Could you consider to allow customer/user of the forum to delete their account by themselve? It is quite similar to social functions and with some safe method to confirm could be nice also as a fulfillment of some Law rules. Tks mario

I've recently made a couple forum skins which are quite heavily modified. Needless to say, I've had issues with various custom hooks as they are being called in the wrong places now (due to me moving things around). For example, I want to move this button for this cash application. Now, I get that the hook is telling the output to go at the start of userInfopane, but there must be an easier way to move it? I have absolutely no idea how to tell it to go to the bottom of userinfopane, or anywhere else for that matter? Is it not possible to make it easier for people to be able to move where hooks are pulled? If not, I would love for someone to explain in non-supe…

Increase user activity here and put [url="Watched Content over Recently Added Topics. First thing users want to know is if there are new posts in discussions they participated in.

Is there a reason why there is no search on the Resource Site? It would be really beneficial for just about everyone. :) ETA - I just tried using the quick search, and it doesn't seem to turn up any results as well.

Is there a reason we only get 4.8MB global storage on the company forums? Can you raise it a little higher for the customers group perhaps? 4.8MB is only a few high-res screenshots or zip files.

If HTML is enabled by the site admin for a particular group, then full html without limitations should be allowed. IMHO it is wrong that IPB can determine what is allowable and what is not. If IPB wishes to control what is used, then perhaps a 'safe' HTML as well as an open html option. For me and my users the inability to run scripts is having a major impact - sadly we did not test the ability to run scripts in IPB before switching, if I had then I might not have done as it is a major limitation (we use a third party site that supplies us with automated data in the form of scripts). Thanks.
