I'm very impressed at how Invision Power has basically replaced everything I've done on my site, which is about Turkey (I'm an American living in Turkey). Now, I just want to merge everything under the Invision Power features. You guys are the best, and if I can do everything under your community software, it would make my life a LOT easier. Hello guys, I know this might sound strange to many of you, but the (changed) laws here make it necessary to provide an Impressum (some information about the admin) as well as an Disclaimer (there are some paragraphs of law that we need to write in there). In vBulletin I used to have a mod for this, but for my latest project that used IP. Solutions I built an external site for info like that and linked it. I know there are mods for this, but the thing is, neither of them was available when the board was in offline-mode. So sometimes some tasks may take a few hours to be completed and while this time there wouldn't be an impressum nor a disclaimer. The problem here…

Hello, I have just been able to flood the Recent Status Updates widget a few minutes ago while performing a test. Then I deleted all my status updates. I think you should implement some anti-flooding protection to it. Thank you, Jonathan

For a future version would it be possible to have the ability to create a new forum and base it on another forum so it inherits the permissions? For me at least, it's a royal pain to have setup the perms on a new forum, especially when I want it exactly like one in existence already. Maybe I am missing a setting here.

Would it be possible to let Users choose whatever order they would like their view of the Topics. I've found that some people prefer seeing the latest post in a Thread, to be at the top. When they are actively involved, is easy to keep abreast with the discussion. When someone isn't actively involved, they would have to go to the beginning to get the gist of it. So I feel it would me much easier to give people the choice. Thanks

At the current time topics are split up between "Pinned" and open/locked. That is alright however I have been thinking. Locked topics are most of the cases (unless being pinned) not extremely important to be useful to the community as locked topics simply do exist for either archiving purposes or to show the reason why the topic has been locked. My request is to place locked (non-pinned) topics at the bottom of the current page so the space could be used for current active discussions.

Right now if someone sets their Facebook or Twitter to import their status, it doesn't give you a link to their respective Facebook or Twitter account. Can you add that if they set their connect status the board automatically adds a link to their account in the Contact Info in their profile?

If you create a new user with Twitter connect, then try to edit your profile, you get a meaningless permission error. Instead, the system should say "please validate your email address first!".

Hello! I visited Xenforo forums today (had to check the software out) and I saw a really nice feature. When I hold my pointer over the topic title I can preview the post right away. With IPB we need to click preview each time. I just wonder, is this something you would consider for a future version, have it been discussed at all? If not, can someone redirect me to a mod that auto-display preview when you hold your pointer at the topic title (if such mod exist at all)? Thanks in advance!

I have created this for my own site and was wondering if maybe you could include it as a feature in the next release... Basically it involves notifications to be checked through AJAX and delivered in real, or fairly real time to the users. What mine does is whenever a notification is sent, it also fires it off to my custom table which is polled every x seconds for new stuff. When it is, it is displayed to the user by the JS side. I think it would be great because people communicate via PM all the time and if there is no form of shoutbox on the site this way users will know when a new pm/pm reply has been received. I notice that in 3.1.2 the option to sort by relevance has been removed: when I went to add it back in it appears to have been a pretty thorough removal job! I'd sure like to have it back. Is this in the plans, or is it gone for the foreseeable future?

Hi Invision, For a very long time, my members are asking me something for the "View new content" feature. I agree with them, and I think it is a very important feature for IP.Board. A vast majority of my regular members view the board new content by clicking this link, but they are all interested in different parts of the board. And especially, they are NOT interested in other parts. So, they are all asking me to add some options on this view new content search to choose from which forums the new content is extracted. I think it is a small option, but if it is well and simply implemented, it could be a very important improvement for regular members on the board. …

Invision, I don't know if this is an issue just affecting me or affecting numerous customers, but once again my chat room is down, this time with the following error when trying to use it: [#CJOIN-5] The room id supplied is invalid. Please notify an administrator. Sometimes the room will come back on its own, other times I need to submit a ticket in order to get it resolved. On my forum we have a weekly scheduled chat on Monday, and invariably the chat room is down on Monday. My users are getting tired of this and I don't blame them. Hi, I got this idea after messing up my skin in that post I have a skin made by Olivier that includes a custom made template called _guestMessages, which means it doesnt come with the default ipb templates the templates is parsed through the parse template codes {parse template="_guestMessage" group="global" params=""} so the moment i used the template tools : Clean Up Templates Database & recached my skin, the template was deleted which broke my skin so basically my idea is, why not add single blank template that comes with IPB by default call it "_blankTemplate" or something, which will allow skinners to add their customized templates without having to …
