Do Support staff have access to "Support Info" in my Package Information section? It seems as though every time I log a support request I need to manually supply this info, despite there being a section to display input it, so Support staff can see it. If they don't have access to this information, what is the point of this feature? Thanks.

We run a forum on your hosting service. It is being used for accessibility and disability discussion. But we will have some users that do not want to be identified (except by staff). We have a couple of forums that we would like the members to be able to use anonymous posting but still be able to be tracked by staff. It is a college site, and the staff have to have access to who is posting due to our job roles. Are there any ways to do this, even if we have to do it manually on each post that is fine. It would be nice if there was an option for it in the moderator control panel. I know we can force all topics to be approved, which is fine. Brandon Price

If I may make a suggestion to IPS... I suggest IPS create a SkinStore or IP.Store (ala AppStore) that would allow customers to purchase skins, addons and widgety-things from the Admin CP and purchase, download, install and update in-app. Skins especially. This could offer a nice revenue source for IPS and help out your customers by making it easier to find, purchase, install and update products in the IP.Suite. Think about it: IP.Store You're Welcome :)

after all these years been with IPB, the service i have from IPB staff on issues seem to be always resolved in matter of hours, great service and no looking back at buying the license well maybe the fact now i regret not buying the lifetime license when i had the chance lol great work guys and gals

There is a feature in IPB 2.x which I miss in 3.x. When in a topic I clicked on the tree in the outline view, the posts that would show on top used to be highlighted in the tree. I started a topic in the technical support forum and made a illustration of what I'd like to see here. So could this feature be reintroduced in IPB 3.x please?

A very useful update to IPB would be a post history log. Sometimes something happens in a topic that's not really how we want it, but even before mods/admins notice it the post has already been edited by the poster and the mod has no possibility to view the post's history. So that is my suggestion to a future release of IPB, would really appreciate that. Jeffrey

So far I'm loving the chat application. Great work, I actually prefer it's hosted on IPB rather than my own chared server. One less thing I have to deal with. Here are some features I thought would be nice to have 1. Invisible mod - I enjoy talking with the members, but not all the time. I would like to check on things without members getting admin happy 2. Private chat - I think this was mentioned but would be nice to have 3. Has anybody gotten a user agent for wp7 yet? I have tried a few but none of them are working on my wp7...... looking to auto redirect phone users to the mobile site (like other mobile devices) http://madskristense...ser-agents.aspx I am using that one (tried it w/o the galaxy part at the end) but it is not working. Just wondering if anybody has found a working one yet (I am a novice when it comes to user agents so I might just be putting it in wrong) I should mention we are on 3.1.1 still, if wp7 detection has been added since that version that would answer my question.

Search ID: I go back a lot and having to re submit is a pain. IP.Content: It seems hard to use. I just want it to set up like vb cms or vbadvanced. I know you don't call it a cms but it kind of is. I don't want to have to program it myself. I want it set up out of the box. New posts: not exactly working well here. Preview thread: If I need to click to preview I might as well just view the thread. Hover would be nice. More like xenforo not vbulletin. Subscription: I like the subscription option on vbulletin. It's nice to select subscribe when I reply or create a thread.

The Edit Forum Permission Set for any given permission the long list of all forums has NO hierarchy that resembles the forum other than "--" prepended to the name of the category or forum. However in the Forum Category & Forum Over view it visually show a nice visual structure to the forum. Categories are visually different from the forums. Makes it easy to zone In on the forum you wish to target. I guess its all about context for the task at hand - are you adding a new forum and setting up permissions for the Groups / or applying permissions to multiple forums.

I am not understanding how we have default hooks for almost everything....but recent forum activity? Now I know that we have a "Recent Topics" hook, but I am looking for a hook that not only displays new topics, but also any new replies. I am currently running (SOS30) Latest Discussions, which will show new topics OR new replies. So I am stuck with having only new replies show up on my forum index. There should be a Recent Forum Activity hook, that not only will display new topics that have been created, but also topics that just had a reply posted to them. At this point any new topics will not show up on the SOS30 mod until they have a reply. So how about it? I am sure y…

Has the "View New Content" feature for IP.Board annoyed anyone else? This is one of the biggest downfall (imho) for IP.Board when compared to other forum softwares. A few things come into mind that I feel should be changed: 1) After you read a topic, it still shows under "View New Content." It should only show unread topics and content. 2) There is no easy way to view "new replies" to just your content. The search page should have 2 selectable links: "View Unread Content" and "View New Replies To My Content" which will make it easier for the end user when he or she has a reply to a topic they posted in. My organization conducts online workshops for writers. When the workshop is over, we (pre 3.0) downloaded each topic and compiled them into a single .doc file, .pdf'd it, and put it up for our members to be able to download the entire workshop. These then went into our archived library area. However, my librarians are complaining since the change in the way things are downloaded/printed. In fact, it's downright annoying. In the land of BEFORE, we were able to hit the download link once and get the entire topic. Now each page must be done separately.
