Just wondering who host the IP chat rooms and can I host my own? or by installing it I am actually hosting it... If this is so why do I want to pay for more people to be active in the chat room. I understand if someone else is hosting it.

If a Member is subsribed to a Topic, and a Mod adds an invisible post, the member gets the email notification that a new post was made in the Topic. But since the post is invisible, they get an error message when they try to go to the post. I wonder if there's a way to not have the eamil notification not be sent if the new post is invisible? Also, the email notification contains the new post's contents. So now a Member that was subscribed to the Topic would see (in the email notification) the post that was not intended for Members to see. benos

Firstly: I have been away from the IPS community for a month - and it is great to see all the changes and announcements. One suggestion for the Calendar: Please add week numbers in the Month and Week views. A lot of countries in Europe use week numbers to schedule meetings etc. It is common to say, I will on holiday on weeks 30 & 31. Google calendar allows you to add on week numbers. For Month view, you would need to "right align" the dates for days, so the week number can show at the beginning of the week. For Week view, you could just have the week number show on the title "Week 7", instead of the current "Week beginning on the...." Thanks

It should not be possible for banned users to easily re-register via Facebook connect. (Whatever Facebook's T&Cs may say...) I have an example where a banned email address was accepted via a Facebook connect registration and I imagine the same would happen with a banned IP address.

Hi all, I love IPB and IPB is the best but really one of the main features is sort by thread views replies,Every other forum has this,vbuttlin,mybb,phpbb and many more.And i can't understand why IPB dosn't have it.Its a really good featuresand it does make a different,You would get more people buying IPB. Thank You. Or does anyone know a hook that you can sort the views threads?. Thx

Just a suggestion for the index forums layout, (and I haven't seen any clear updates about it) but is it possible to have a switchable board layout. One layout is how it is now and the other one is the category set they have for these themes such Extream Red theme. I love that layout of the index. Thanks!

This may or may not be a small issue, but it's been bothering me for years now. Will it ever be possible to assign multiple triggers for one emoticon, rather than having to upload separate images for each one? For example, I want both ":)" and ":-)" to give me the standard :) but I don't want to have to upload two separate images (with different file names) to do it. Is this something that could be added in the future? Cheers.

Hi, I see from bank account that some licence renewals have gone though, so I checked my Invoices in the new Client Centre and I can work out which board licences refer to which websites by clicking through the links in the invoices. However, in the case of Gallery for example, its difficult to work out which website the gallery renewal refers to so that I can recharge my client when necessary, or not if its one of my own personal websites. If you could include the relevant details in the invoice it would help a lot for those of us with multiple licences for add-ons.

I think it'd be cool to have topics only certain members can see. So you could have just "Dave; John; Bill" or you could have just a certain member group view the topic.

Given the new RSVP function coming in calendar 3.2, what would be great is if we could formally combine it with a nexus product to sell tickets to an event. So for example if you organised a bus trip with 50 seats you can create the event in calendar with RSVP and could include a link to a Nexus product where you sell tickets for the bus and set the initial stock level to 50. What would be great though is if when setting up the event in calendar and using the RSVP you could formally link the event to the Nexus ticket item so that clicking on the RSVP takes you to Nexus, sells you a ticket and then takes you back to calendar and adds you to the attendees list. Hello, Can we have search results as posts in 3.2 with an option for admin define how the results are shown (topic/posts)? xF has this and I think this it's a nice feature, not only we have a precise result showing the specific post but give the visual perception of an active community showing more results than with topics only option. Hey there. I'm on staff with a forum that runs off IP.Board. As I remember, a few days ago Invision Power was having some network issues. Our forum went down for a few hours, but was up later that day. Unfortunately after the forums went back online, I have been unable to access the Admin CP due to a "driver error", and the Private Message system has been down for the same exact reason. It's been this way for over a day. Is there anything I can do? Is this an issue on my end or on the end of Invision Power? Any assistance would be much appreciated. Hi, I use trashbin, but sometimes there are topics which are too bad even for a trashbin and I want to delete them completely. Since trashbin is on every time I delete something I get this screen: Why there's no option to tick some box (which would be visible per group settings) to PERMANENTLY delete the topic even though the trashbin is set ON? Also I've missed a settings where you can select in which forums the trashbin is active. For example if you delete a post or a topic from forum X - they end up in trashbin. If you delete post or a topic in from forum Y - they are completely wiped out. Hope its not too late for 3.2!

In the screen shots you guys didn't show any of the threads having a new post. Will the thread with a new reply in it show up at the top? Or will I have to go digging around for it like I've had to with the broken "watch" system? I still think it would be better to only show threads on that page that have new replies on it and have it "blank" when there aren't any; but give the option to filter (or unfilter however you wanna think of it as) to show all threads you've followed. It's what people are use to and IMO makes the most sense.

Would be nice if on the month view, the last couple of days of the previous month and the first couple of days of the next month are shown (depending upon when the month starts/ends) This would save on the 31st March clicking on 'next month' to see what was happening the next day.

It would be extremely helpful to be able to edit status messages, especially when you typo something. Currently you have to delete the message and re-enter it. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but since others can reply to those status messages it makes a lot of sense to be able to edit them.

Hello, The search form simply doesn't search, it's useless, but the one in the admin with ajax is interresting. That would be better to use it on the board/IP.content etc...

Hello, I was wondering if their is or way you could import, office templates as a post topic? I'm give fan of office, but would be great if this could be option in future if not already? What would be more sexy then making your post in format, of ? Templates - Presentations, Spreadsheets, Documents, Calendars ... etc etc...

A lot of time has passed since first 3.0 release, but still there's no "Show untranslated strings" button in ACP. It's SUPER boring to check every language file page by page and press "Go" every time you find untranslated string. You can't even choose "Show all" do list all strings at once without loading 20+ pages. Please, add this simple button, because we have to translate some stuff after every upgrade. And no, editing text file and uploading it via FTP is NOT good.
