As it's not a bug I didn't make a bug report. My suggestion is that right now if you open Activity Feed on somebody's profile, in the left menu theres option All activity but if you open user's Reputation activity theres no option like All reputation. At first look it seems to all users that users have no records on Reputation activity but on closer look they see that in left menu the active item is Profile Comments. Just a small suggestion EDIT: Same with Followed Content.

Just a poll to see how the visitors to this IPS Community forum have their forum view enabled. oh, and for those folks who have no idea what we are talking about, you can change the view layout of the forums by scrolling to the bottom of the page, click on 'Theme,' and select grid view to see what all the fuss is about, or if you have had too much Jack Daniels and you forgot how to change it back from grid view, click on 'Theme' and select Default (Default). Is there an English teacher in the house? Isn't Default default redundant or something?

Hey guys, So I downloaded Beta 8 today and so far everything's working great except for this problem. I have set IP Pages as the home page of my website but when I view my site as guest, the article entries are not showing. Plus, the recent articles sidebar also does not show. I have checked the permissions in the following areas of the ACP: pages --> databases --> permissions pages --> menu --> edit --> permissions members --> groups --> guests (this only shows forum permissions, nothing else) What am I missing?

Hi! I am using Ip Download 2.5.4 and uploading over 7 000 files with a screenshot to every file. I want to see a automatic function where the Downloads are resizing the screenshot like the gallery. And a setting in ACP with own option to set the size of the screenshot in height or both height and width. I don´t know how the new IPS4 looks in Downloads?

I would like to know where I can find the settings to control which elements of a page are displayed at certain resolutions. For example, the categories block will show on my articles front page, but once the resolution/screen size reaches a mobile level it is no longer present. I need this to display in some form on the page so users can navigate through articles. Thanks in advance.

As we are nearing a release for V4, I and I'm sure others are eager to switch over. I have yet to make a decision on when this will be and whether or not to hold off until the 3rd party apps that I have installed are ready for V4. So I thought why not ask them, but rather than ask in every topic related to the app in question. I thought I would post the paid for apps that I have installed and ask about timescales in one generic place, that way others could add to the list and this would help the community understand better about timescales for 3rd party apps. Hello, Not sure if this is IPB4 thing. I had a lot of uses of IPB4 telling me that they do not like the way the text editor works for paste. If you copy some text from a website and then past in to IPB4 it keeps all the styles, images and links. The 2 forums we have used so far Vanilla and PHPBB on past just give you the raw data in the text editor. Is there a way to just get the raw data without the styles, images and links? Thanks

Now password hashing in IPB 4 is done much better than in old versions, but not perfect. First of all: all password hashing alghoritms sooner or later will become insecure and replaced with modern one (good example: md5), even alghoritms with iteration count will need to increase value of iterations after period of time (half of year?). Secondly: some forum admins would like to use other hashing method for better fit with third party apps that can't use alghoritm that is built into IPB. For example PBKDF4-SHA256. Hi guys, I have created a page containing two images of the same dimensions. In code page I use javascript: void(0), so click with a mouse image change. Code works well. Here is a link to a page. I create and custom block in which a tag Iframe, (frameborder=0) I insert a link to this page. I use widget 'custom block' and insert it into Footer of the start page of my test site. One of the great things about V3 is the classified ads add on. I think it has grossed in excess of $25k in sales - so I'm not the only one who wants it Any idea if it's coming out when v4 launches? Is there anything new in v4 which could mean the add on is redundant?

I would like to provide some feedback. As for the change in layout of the forum index. It's different but looks cluttered and messy. As for reading it your eyes don't just naturally flow downward reading the list now it's a left to right with a up and down. Sorry to say I'm not liking the new layout. 7a is failing to upgrade for me. I've downloaded the version from the ACP and from the client area, both to no avail. I get an EX0 error, saying "An unknown error occurred ". On the bright side, the ACP still works. Are there any IPS-specific logs I can check (PHP isn't giving me any errors)? Also checked the dir and group permissions on everything.

As the new architure of the software IPS 4 demands specific Apache executions, I would like to know which is the best Apache MPM for IPS 4: Prefork, Worker or Event? It would be nice if the IPS staff could sugest the best server configuration for the software, including database type (mysql 5.6 or MariaDB 10), database settings, php handler, etc.

Let me just start by saying hello again, it's been nearly 5 years since I last posted on here and since I last sat down and used IPB properly and I must say version 4 has come on leaps and bounds from v3, hats off to Matt and co! Just a quick question for those who have been playing around with this longer than I have, whats the best way to go about having a template with a fixed position header, specifically with the drop down menus on the create button, etc. which are positioned absolutely in relation to the entire page rather than the parent container? This is how my ACP currently looks in 3.4.x when I view manage records for my database in 4.0 this is now how it looks as you can see it has removed all the filed display from view and now it shows me last modified date and category if any. I cant sort it, and search now can only be done by title. I have over 36,000 records in this database alone that I am constantly in there daily updating records for. I could simply just click on the record number and it would take me to that record where I could edit it, this option is removed as long with everything else. makes the app totally useless for me If this remains I think 4.0 is not for me as it totally remove…
