Activity Stream (within the page source) contains entire posts, but AS only shows users a truncated section of that post. Therefore spiders are seeing different content to users. Does this present a risk that IPS sites might suffer a penalty for cloaking from Google, as users are being shown different content to spiders? Google cloaking definition here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/66355 (PS I'm sure I asked this before but can't find post).

Hi IPS Team! Since the relational database field was missing in 4.0 and the relational Data did not get converted when upgrading from 3.x I wonder how you guys handle the Upgrade to 4.1 where the relational field makes its comeback. From what the upgrade script itself shows you seem to upgrade from whatever version of IPS Software is running through the major releases all the way to the most recent one. So going from 3.2 to 4.1 is not a direct upgrade. It first upgrades to 3.4, then to 4.0 RC1, then RC2, then 4.0, then 4.1. (or something like that) Will the upgrader for 4.1 recognize that there are relational database fields in use or is the relational…

In the past when i had problems support where real fast, not magic, it took its time to get a solution, thats ok. however the interaction happened at a good rate. Now im all but happy, upgraded my ipb3 to 4 and got new problems im not able to diagnose, (skin issue) but most actions on the board cant be done, since dynamic menus are not showing on some browsers... registrations stats and adsense are making me get mad with the numbers i see now. Do i need to pay priority support?? im not happy with paying $100 for one ticket... but i REALLY need to get this fixed! (yes, i know most customers will screm to get their problems fixed too). If user embeds topic/video/gallery into his signature it turns into embedded topic/video/gallery and takes a lot of space. I want to disable it, but leave an ability to set links in signatures. Please, add an option to disable embedding in signatures.

I miss the ability to format custom fields in Downloads and Profiles.. There used to be format box in the settings so you could add html and value tags. This allowed us to replace text with images etc.

Myself and my users really do not like how things now auto embed once link is pasted. It was much better when you had to have it on one line and hit enter before it embedded. Now it just embeds it in everywhere. It also annoys those who don't wish to embed but share the link. And being able to post the link without it embedding is very important considering 70% of the time you embed the render fails and you get 15% of the embed showing. and you need a link to view the whole thing. And now my users waste time butchering the links with spaces so they don't embed. to get around it. As do i. How is someone supposed to share a collection of videos without adding so many t…

It would be really nice if there would be more blocks / widgets. Especially a widget that could show x items from any activitystream - then we would have a very powerfull widget that could be custimized with the already powerfull activitystreams. Probably too much to wish for, but here it is:-)

Is this planned for the future. The cart system already exists in Commerce, can it be extended to Downloads? Is there any support from other users for this or is it just us? If there is no great demand I can understand why it's not been addressed but it seems like a useful thing to do regardless. Anyone else want this?

Either by after market hook or part of package, IPB badly needs a warning when trying to post in threads older that "X" days "Warning you are trying to post in a thread that hasn't been posted in for more than 30 days, unless you have a meaningful contribution you should not post in this thread"

I think in the ACP under System>Terms & Privacy Policy there should ALSO be an option for a DMCA take down notice. It would be wise for most site owners to have this in this day and age. I like that there is an option in the ACP for terms of use and privacy policy. However, there isn't an easy way to setup a DMCA take down request form. This can protect site owners from legal non-sense. I think there should be a link in the footer *DMCA copyright* that leads to something like the below. why do these things look so different? Why is Guidelines something that shows in the navigation menu and not in the footer like Privacy Policy? Since your editing these things from the same Page in the ACP one would expect their appearance to be similar and more of a "footnote" to the site and not a general navigation destination once someone has registered or been schooled by a moderator.

When you click Browse you get: Browse appears again and looks like a sub selection not a header. Looks redundant, causes confusion. Can the top selection be removed? or... Can it be a new color? I would very much like to be able to hide entire categories and subcategories from the store without having to edit each and every item individually (and then live with empty placeholder categories) A sort of "off season" warehouse. Alternatively, applying permissions to categories would achieve the necessary effect.

There are many users I have come across that are complaining about using CKEditor and they much preferred using the old basic editor that was available to them in IPB3. What would be handy is to have the an option for the users to allow for them to switch between using the CKEditor or just having a standard textarea for typing in text. Or is there an option that I have missed completely?

I would like to include a registration/login block on a custom page with a custom theme, rather than using the default forum register page and theme (e.g. https://community.invisionpower.com/register/ ). I looked in the marketplace but I did not see any registration / login blocks that can be included in a page. Is this possible?

Instead of needing to manually add xyz oEmbed provider, wouldn't it be a lot less grief for all involved if it just pulled from the provider list available here(caching the result for reasonable periods, of course)?
