While I think it's cool for you guys to always be incorporating new features all the time and at such a fast pace I think it would be also nice if there was older versions of the suite that still have updates for bug fixes only much like php as an example with 5.5 & 5.6 bug fix releases when 7.0 is now out. For example there is still updates to 3.4, but why not 4.0 & soon 4.1 when 4.2 comes out? A lot of us don't really care about new features once we have our websites launched live and setup the way we like. It can be quite a hassle every time we update because it's a security fix and then we're dealing with new features that sometimes break theme templates,…

Hi there, I'm sorry that my topic title is such unfriendly but I'm really pissed off right now. I just updated to version 4.1.8.1 and there are so f*cking many bugs in it that I could cry. Why isn't it possible to fix bugs instead of building new features? I paid a lot of money for this piece of software and every update is making it (more!) worse than before. I know that it's not possible to build software without bugs. But it's completely unacceptable that every update creates a hugh number of known (and sometimes already fixed!) bugs. I'm using IPS without any special modifications (just a bunch of pretty easy plugins) so it's just a product which should work o…

Hi, My community has got about 150 forums. All the forum have the same rules (about 50 lines of text) If I want to show a link to these rules at the top of each forum, I have to copy/paste the rules content for each forum. And If few days after I want to update the rules, I have to change for the 150 forums. I understand some forums may have differents rules but it would be very usefull to have choice between "link to specific rules" or "link to common rules" for example. I hope you understand what I mean.

Right now, trying to get /core/members, you cannot limit which members you'll get in any way. You can only sort the order they will appear in. My suggestion is to add filters to it (like pertaining to a group, or a secondary group, or having a field not null, etc).

When adding an image into the gallery the description area adds confusion by suggesting upload image attachment or insert other media. Can you please remove this so gallery does not end up a mass of confusion to members? Keep the description totally simplified to describe the gallery image only, is best all round thanks

Would it be possible, if you were set up with Stripe/SSL ect.. to delay the charge until later? For example if we put up a shirt that didn't exist yet, but needed 25 sales in order to be made.... then charge those people when the threshold is met?

This seems like it should be a simple thing to do, given that there is already "drag and drop" available for changing the order of forums and categories, and other fields. I want to be able to drag and drop in the ACP to change the display order of my member groups. Why is this important? On my site, for example, I use military ranks which members can promote through automatically and it gets confusing when those groups are sorted alphabetically rather than in order of rank. In addition, I use secondary groups for displaying group image tags in profiles for secondary groups my members are in and I want them to display in the order I choose, rather than being f…

Hello, I have been inserting several calendar events with identical body, location, image, timing (not dates) today and to my surprise (unless I have overlooked something) I was unable to copy/clone one of the existing events to create a new one. I may do an overall review post for IPS but one thing in 2016 and something that could literally be done now is I think IPS ( @Charles hope you see this xD) could really work on encouraging community interactions. What I love is the fact that the developers from Charles to Lindy to the others(idk everyone's name tbh, sorry) are involved. Compared to the God Like way some other forum software community treat their developers Our IPS crew seems to be quite easy to approach and are easy to reach out to and talk with. However. Quotes have looked messy since 3.4. yes the editor is WYSIWYG but when you quote someone, you don't intend to also quote any extra white space that is used in the original post, and sometimes white space is used to replace things like quotes. Example would be, quote a post that has a quote in it. Quoted: Why did it create a double space? Quoting a spoiler, and spoilers add a double space, but why does it quote it? Quoting an embed, really messy: It's just gets messier the more that is in the post, white space on top, or bottom, can't it be stripped from quotes? It is not intended and looks messy. …

I once again had to wade into Commerce to add a slew of products in advance of a project. I was reminded of several workflow aspects of item setup that are cumbersome and painfully "clicky" when dealing with a largish number of items. It would be nice to have a bulk edit capability: to toggle "show in store" for items, to apply a custom field, to apply or remove a payment method, to move within categories, etc. Because I can't show-hide at the category level, I have to create a live future category in order to pre-fill it with "hidden" items. That category now appears puzzlingly empty to visitors until we actually open the category. The same problem repeats…

I want to be able to create custom fields for topics, just like records in Record image. For example, I want to have a field called "Source" for users to post a link to where they found the information they are posting. Also it would be cool to be able to upload a Topic image (like Record image) and display them in feeds. Is it possible?

On an IP.Gallery image page (the page where it shows image details like the carousel, image description, uploader, EXIF, etc.), the keyboard scrolling Left / Right in the editor also scrolls the image carousel. This is reproducible in the IPS Support Community. For example, visit any image such as: Add in a comment such as "A journey of a thousand miles to Bucharest begins with one belly push." Click somewhere in the middle of the sentence to insert your cursor. Like in 3.4 please trim any extra lines at the end of posts. Not talking about if there there is text after, just the extra lines. What is happening is, when people hit enter to embed a video or link, and that is the end of their post, it has an extra double space because it is needed for the embed. They should not be expected to use backspace. In 3.4 it trimmed these lines, like below. Thanks!

With the review function we can leave star ratings, but the ability to add categories would be great.
