I am in Germany, we have GMT +1 I think (definetly the same) - where is IPS located? As I know there are many guys there....a. few from Europe like @Daniel F for example.

ips, if im not in error, is from usa (gmt +12? i don't Know, but i think 10/12h different by Europe) :)

from homepage:

IPS, Inc.
PO Box 2365
Forest, VA 24551

(USA) :)

The staff members live all over the place. Rhett lives in on the west coast of the US. While others are in England, Austria, and even Ohio .

As I have said quite a few times, I have always been happy with the support IPS offers. :)

Yeah. Tonight a was a little bit unhappy with the high renewal fee (80$ per year - this is a new WBB every 12 months), but now I know whx: great support and great products

yes renewal is not always great to pay but you pay it for really good support ;)
Sometimes it is not so easy to explain that it is really an bug and no problem of the own server - but when you reached the TIER2 then everything is very very good :)

You will get all new versions including big updates such as IP.S 4.2 at no extra cost, great and fast support as well as access to the support forums.

I don't know where you found this information. IPS said to me this night:

Hello, the license must be active to download the software, we don't issue security patches with 4.x, all patches are issued and released in a new version, so upgrading is the only method to obtain them.

The license must be active for support as well.

If your license is not active you lose access to the following.

  • Downloading software
  • Support
  • IPS Chat
  • IPS Spam Service
  • Client level access to certain sections of our community

Let us know if you have any further questions.

I think I've misunderstanding your past comment:

Yeah. Tonight a was a little bit unhappy with the high renewal fee (80$ per year - this is a new WBB every 12 months),

sorry (my bad English...)!

No problem, I am only 15 years old and make a few mistakes, too.
