Just wondering if there's any reason why here on these IPS forums, it nearly always seems to take 5-6 seconds to load the notifications pop up list (when you click the bell icon near the top of page)? If you are reading a topic, open the list with the bell icon, wait 5-6 secs for it to load, then dismiss it, scroll down the rest of the replies on the same page without loading a new page, then scroll back up it to click on it again, it takes pretty much another 5-6 secs to appear, suggesting it's not cached? Does the delay signify any potential slow down elsewhere for the same community suite in other areas, whilst the query is running? I know your IPS Coud …

It would be better if the little icons to share and report post (that pops up on hover) were further apart or in a separate location perhaps Is this possible to do? You have to literally put mouse onto the share icon to know what it is and its easy missed.

Hi, I have created an Event Calendar however, every time we enter a new event the background header by default is blank yet does any know the best size image for the header? I ask because regardless of the size of the image I upload it is either too big or out of focus. I will like just a simple default background if that is possible. Calendar needs much improving as it is very basic, any advice would be appreciated. Please show me your calendars so I can get some ideas.

I've been admin on my forum for around 5 years now and up until last week i was always shown as "Admin" as my first group. My second group was "Advanced Member" so not to show the ranks so much i felt it would be better for the staff to show as normal members and to make use of the second grouping as admin and mods... But here's the problem the inbox / message limit only works on the first group settings... when i changes the groups around i was 240% over my limit. My question is, could this work on the greater group ie the secound group settings..? Thanks

so its a pita to delete 7000 letters from the bottom of every article to get it to accept the entry (exspecially on mobile) cant the system just prune off the bottom text to meet the requirements?

Hi all, I am posting this as a feature request. I would like to see the ability to EXCLUDE a forum or content type in my streams. Let's say I have 100 forums, and I want to only show a stream of 99 forums (removing 1 of them), I currently have to choose all 99 forums to be INCLUDED in my stream. Can you add a feature in the software that will allow me to choose the 1 single forum I wish to EXCLUDE? This would be nice because if I add another forum in the future I don't have to go update all of my streams. Thanks!

In streams with Reviews (not ratings) enabled: Gallery shows who reviewed and the stars with thumbnail Downloads shows who reviewed and the stars with thumbnail Pages/Databases shows who reviewed but no stars or thumbnail This is a discrepancy in the stream since all of the review-enabled apps show the stars/thumb except Pages, and it is important for review databases, product reviews, etc. Can you please enable this? Hello, I like the "auto upgrade system" but I would suggest to support authentification via public/private key (ssh2_auth_pubkey_file) for future. Currently exist only the option with password (ssh2_auth_password). Currently the REST API /calendar/events endpoint parameter 'sortBy' sortBy string What to sort by. Can be 'date' for creation date, 'title' or leave unspecified for ID Requesting to add 'start' for the event start date time group and 'end' for the event end date time group. Requesting to also add a parameter for a 'dateRange' to allow for narrowing down the results to a specific range such as year range, month range, date range, etc. Really does not make sense to return ALL of the events every time the API is called when it could be filtered in the initial request and return a smaller subset.

Our web site provides content for stock market investors and has a large quantity of topics. There are somewhere in the neighborhood of 600 topics on our site. Because of this our users frequently use the search function to find a particular topic. Also, most topics are only a page or two long. Users of our site often have problems finding content via the search function because they aren’t aware of the search scope (e.g. “All Content”, “This Topic”, “This Forum”) and have it set incorrectly. Since you have the option of turning off most of the other modules, you should also have the option of disabling/turning off the Calendar module. We have never used it in all the time we have had IP.Board since 2005 or (earlier?). I think before it was on the bottom and out of the way. Now that it is on the top menu and we have other items we want there it is just in the way and we would rather free up that space. I do not see it on this forum. However I looked everywhere for the off-switch and I did turn off all the switched there were in the settings area for the Calendar, but there was no "Enable Calendar?" question.

So this only started happening after the switch to 4.3 here. I use LastPass to fill in my details on the sign in page. When I used to do so, it would fill the username and password and then automatically submit and log me in. Now, it stills fills in username and password, but it seems to default to the sign in with twitter button. Signing in with lastpass takes me to the twitter authorization page. Not a huge deal as I can just copy/paste the pw and manually click submit, but since it used to work and now doesn’t, thought I would mention it. Edit: Couldn’t find the big tracker but have now. Can remove this post. Sorry!

Hello ! What I really do not like about the search system and mainly activity stream is that it displays the same topic several times in the results page. This makes the search results unreadable or difficult to read. Do you feel the same ? Thank you.

There is some of us that sell actual goods and have to pay sales taxes. It would be a nice touch to have the site create a sales tax page that shows total sales for the month, then taxable sales, and amount of collected taxes. This would make sales tax filing much easier for the people doing the accounting. It stead of hunt through all the sales of the month for sales in your state and adding them all up and so forth.

Many topics are created in the wrong sub-forum because of the way this menu works. The menu does not close if the user selects a main forum. In this case, the user needs to select Notebooks and then click the area in blue below. If the user selects a sub-forum, the menu closes and he understands that he is in the correct area. Is there any way to change how this menu works? Maybe tweaking the theme or creating a plug-in.

I think it is time to deprecate IPS4 Emoticons in favor of industry standard Unicode 9 Emoji within IPS4. This is a small change, but much nicer for users. Standard Unicode characters for Emoji are more diverse than Emoticons as there are Emoji for Symbols, Flags and many many other iconic characters that can enhance reading boring text. IPS4 Emoticons simply date our sites as last decade... Time to move on... ? or

I'd like to suggest making custom field types the same across the suite. e.g. You can add regex validation to a 'Text' field in Pages, but not Commerce packages. For my purposes, I primarily just need to be able to validate 'Text' fields via regex and length for Commerce packages, however I think unifying the 'custom field' functionality across the entire suite would be a good idea.

So I was reading through the other IP.Pages thread and I feel like a new thread needs to be started so it can be clearer on what users are looking to still have in their Pages blocks that would make us love IPS even more. (mostly because I think that the old thread is beating a dead horse so we need a live one to run the track) I know I still really really really really really (I'm not sure that's enough reallys) really want the ability to sort a feed by random.
