HI V3 urls looked like this /forums/index.php?showtopic=59781 V4 urls look like this /forums/index.php?/topic/59781-triple-monitors-need-help/ So V4 is better for SEO as it contains keywords but the bigger issue for me is that changing the URLs means that all the backlinks to my forum from other sites will now be 404 errors - is this correct? Thanks.

can anyone tell me what database table & field is flagged in some manner to identify that user as a not-yet-validated user? I've just looked at the fields of core_members for both a registered and validating member, and there wasn't anything that jumped out at me as different. Thanks.

Hi, after migrating to IPBoardV4.0.13 I'm desperately seeking for an equivalent to the XML-RPC API https://www.invisionpower.com/support/guides/_/advanced-and-developers/api-methods/xml-rpc-api-r62 That page was update "Updated Feb 26 2015 11:45 PM" but the content doesn't apply to V4 anymore, as there is no interface/board/index.php anymore. Is there a new API to get the same results or where did this funtionality go to? Best regards

I want to upgrade from 3.4.8 to 4.0, but my board accepts login using Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft Live because of some 3rd party plugins. I know that IPS4 wont import any 3rd plarty plugins... So what will happen to users that use those tools to login? They won't be able to login anymore?

Hi After upgrading to IPB4 gallery urls are screwed up, with the domain being added twice at the begining of the url, for example: http://forums.domain.com/http://forums.domain.com/gallery_uploads/monthly_2015_09/123456.jpg Any ideas on how to fix this? Cheers John

Hello, Was wondering if someone could help me out. I am looking to give moderators on my board access to the members tab of adminCP. This is the only function I want them to have within adminCP, however. Any recommendations on how to do so? We're a gaming clan and I want recruiters to be able to move/edit people's groups. Thanks.

Hi all, I've noticed a couple of extras here on the IPS forums that aren't available (or don't appear to be) on mine. One is the notifications pop-up at the bottom of the screen when I sign in, the other is selecting text in a post and a 'Quote This' box appears. As IPS don't use third party add-ons I'm assuming they're in-built, how do I activate them?

the useless post feed widget that comes with ips4 it shows each topic "reply" has made on a new list for example 10 replies on one topic you get 10 freaking tables about same topic look is there any way to make it show the latest post on the topic without making another table? -------- and the topic feed shows the latest topic on top weather its updated or not we never know, you could at least make it to show a user name of the last person who replied or something. i cant use any of them

Anyone else having big problems with the IPS4 mobile web and android autocorrect? I have had it myself, and all of my android members as well. Unsure if it effects apple products. Basically the autocorrect will kick in when you don't want it to, duplicate words will be posted, and once it does that it is very difficult to get it corrected as it keeps duplicating everything.

I just installed ipBoard 4.1 Beta 8 on my forum. One of the first things I did was change the default editor line break to be a single space instead of a paragraph. I noticed now that when a user hits reply to a topic the height of the editor is one line as opposed to multiple lines. Is there any way to adjust/tweak this? Did I miss a setting?

Hello, I have a few questions about upgrading from V3 to V4 and migration from cloud to self hosted: 1 - Currently my board is running version 3.4.8 on cloud service. Do you recommend upgrading to IPS4 on the cloud and then migrate to self-hosted, or first migrate using version 3.4.8 and then upgrading to IPS4? 2- I understand that the upgrade to IPS4 resets my board customization (themes and stuff). Sorry another one. I am using <if> to hide custom fields in my template if the fields are left empty which works fine {{if count( $record->customFieldDisplayByKey('county','display') )}} {$record->customFieldDisplayByKey('county', 'display')|raw} {{endif}} But if I add list items <li> or breaks <br />they are visible {{if count( $record->customFieldDisplayByKey('county','display') )}} <li> {$record->customFieldDisplayByKey('county', 'display')|raw} </li> {{endif}} Is there away to hide not just the content of the field but formatting as well?

Hello, Here, the problem encountered on my site is that of BBCode Dailymotion. I can not set it up properly! There are of two add-ons available on the website of CKEditor, but they do not satisfy me at all. Some errors when installed! That's why I thought it was better to have a custom button, in other words to have a good BBCode Dailymotion. Do any of you can help me implement this code in the admin panel of my editor?
