Since 4.7.9 apostrophes in user names are not allowed any more!? Also when renaming the long existing members "Jack O'Hara" or "Nils van't Jansen" there is no way back...

Hey all. Today various errors have started occurring with my 3rd party hosted site. When trying to access the admin panel, I receive the following: EX1836 Something went wrong. Please try again. I've been unable to find more info as to what the exception number actually means. I've checked my php version and other settings. Any ideas before I try to do the dreaded reinstallation?

We set up Open Search 2.6.0 to use as our "Elasticsearch" server after learning that IPS themselves use it, with the "compatibility.override_main_response_version" setting enabled to pass Invision's Elasticsearch version check. Indexing our entire community finished successfully but all search-based functionality, including activity feeds on user profiles as well as actual searches, now returns zero results. I left our site's config in place in case someone from Invision would find it useful to troubleshoot it directly. Hi. On 6th April, my Google analytics showed a big spike in visitors to my forums. In fact, it highlighted this and said that I had received a lot more visitors than it had expected or predicted. Visitors had almost doubled overnight. The next day, numbers shot up again, the day after visitors had gone up by over six times normal numbers. Looking at my most visited pages, I can see that the second most visited page is, "Sorry, you do not have permission for that! " I've never seen anything like this before. Have you any idea what could be behind this?

Looks like the CNAME records I setup resolve different IP addresses (round robin) depending on geo location. Some of these locations our users are getting a "Not Found" in their browser. This IP works: 13.32.27.115 (I'm in Europe) and one of our Admins gets this IP address: 108.156.91.25 (he's in Chicago) and its failing. I had him do a "ipconfig /flushdns" and no dice. Many user complaints now about this. Some have no issues, others, it's completely unreachable.

A week or so ago, when I last, saw my point total it was 189, now it shows "849". This leads me to believe that there might be a hidden problem with achievements after the most recent update. If it is happening on this site it "might" be happening on other sites but maybe no one has noticed as of yet. I was looking forward to advancing to the next level around the time I hit my 20th anniversary here. Now it will take several years to achieve the next level which is a bit of a bummer...

When I attempt to turn on Manifest support, I get an error saying that the URL cannot be found: However, the URL definitely exists as it's the most commonly visited URL on our website, showing the Latest Activity stream. I would assume that it would be possible to use the Latest Activity stream as the custom Start URL as this is the URL that makes the most logical sense out of any URL on the entire platform. What could be causing this to happen? (I've used the exact format mentioned in the description)

Hello, I'm trying to post here because my invision hosted forum has been down for over a week now and every attempt to request help from support@invisionpower.com is not being answered. What method am I supposed to use to get my forum back up and running? This is far too long with no response/help to get my forum up and running again.

When an ajax modal popup is loaded, and it contains pagination, changing the page changes also the browser tab's URL, but closing it doesn't restore the original URL. You easily can verify the issue on this site by viewing a file with at least 2 pages of logged downloads. Hello, I have never gotten bulk email to work for my community. Maybe like a year ago I tried it and it would spam my members with unlimited emails. But now when I try it, it does nothing. It says sent to 0 members. I just deleted a bulk email I created over a month ago and It has been sitting to start. I am on invision in the cloud.

Hello. As the title says: can I disable all theme blocks at once? I dont mind having to edit the database, if it is necessary. Also, I dont mind losing the content of the blocks, or anything. Why (if you need to know): Recently, I had a "urgent" matter that made me remove a specific text from all blocks forum-wide, but since the blocks are independent between board index/forum category/topic, etc... this created a problem, since some of them were removed and some werent. Just to be safe, I want to remove/disable all blocks and them add one by one again.

Hello all, I have the problem that I am missing 1000 megabytes of data, which our users have been uploading to the community (in the download-section) over the last months/years or so. I could not find out what the reason is, neither via the admin/moderator logs, nor via the Deleted Content area. Does anyone have any idea what else this can be due to? The category was also not touched, as far as i know. Only user roles were adjusted. Could a deleted user be the cause, due to files being linked to users? Greetings.

I have 2 questions about setting up the forum: 1) Is it possible to automatically compress a Jpeg picture to 5 MB if the user wants to upload a picture larger than 5 MB? And is it possible to show a preview of BMP and PSD files? 2) On the forum, I post interisting links with files located on Google Drive, is it possible to make it so that until the user registers on the forum, he does not see these links?
