Is it possible to make plugins for IPS.Chat? I noticed there is literally no settings for Chat in the Admin CP, so I think it would be nice to develope some plugins for basic features that are missing like "Moderators", "Deleting Comments", "Displaying Images", etc. Anybody know a good resource for getting started on IPS plugin development?

I recently had Support install 4.1.12.1 (Imon Cloud Hostng) I just noticed in Members Profiles that what they typed in as Location or Interest etc look like this when viewing their Profile...for example: M a s s a c h u s s e t t s Instead of: Massachusetts. ( The Location does appear correctly under Avatar on posts) Same thing for any lengthy Interest. A return after every letter. It makes the fields ridiculously long and is obviously a glitch. Anyone else see this on their Members Profiles?

Hello, I want to create a DB with some relational fields. But how can the user see which entries are available for this relational field? Do I have to force the user the enter every letter of the alphabet to see the available entries?

I just purchased IPS services today, and everything worked perfectly on the demo server. Now that I'm on the real deal, the clickable icons anywhere on any of the pages aren't displaying properly. On the Edge browser, they're completely invisible. On Firefox and Chrome, they appear as white boxes. I've tried clearing my cache (silly, I know), but I don't know what else to do other than maybe download a new theme (which I need to do anyway). In case you want to look at it, we're at http://forums.agentsofgame.com right now. I searched the forums and didn't find anything that appeared to be relevant, so I'm sorry if there's something I missed.

I've got a download system set up with a lot of custom fields specific to different categories. I want people to be able to find files based on custom field information. Amazingly, this doesn't seem easy and maybe not even possible. Anyone want to point me in the right direction? Is this something I could pay a coder to write?

With Nexus 3.x, there was an option to input your paypal email in the ACP, and all payments from Nexus would be sent to that address. Has this changed with Commerce 4.x? I have a few different email addresses associated with my Paypal email (personal email, business email, etc). How do I tell Commerce to send payments to a specific Paypal email address? My Paypal email is shown on the Paypal purchase page, and I'd rather have control over what email is shown. Thanks for any advice!

Hello, Upgraded to v4, I don't like how the date is displayed on the forum topic lists. I preferred it when it showed the date and year (like in v3). Is there no longer a way to edit this preference in the ACP?

I used Stripe to accept payments on my Nexus 3.x site, and it has worked fine for the past 2 years. I have recently upgraded from Nexus 3.x to Commerce 4.x, and Stripe is no longer appearing on my checkout page. It's all configured correctly in the ACP (the settings haven't changed since 3.x), however I am never given the option of paying via Stripe during checkout. I'm automatically taken to Paypal instead. I have tried setting up a fresh Stripe payment method in the ACP, with no success. Has anyone had issues with Stripe and 4.x, or am I the only one?

I've set an Announcement to Forums "everywhere" with show until "indefinitely". It stays up for a day or so above Forums then disappears. Ive been recreating it and just found the old ones in ModeratorCP area as Inactivated. Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong? When I go to Block Manager I see an EDIT button over the announcement/Block. What are Maximum Results? Its defaulted to 5. What is Sort By? Its defaulted to Ascending (A-Z) Thoughts?

Hi, I tried to implement a template condition to check a profile field of the user. I used: {{if \IPS\Member::loggedIn()->profileFields()->field_26}} to do {{else}} more to do {{endif}} ... but it didn't work. The result is always NULL. What is wrong? Thanks in advance.

I don't know why but ever since IPB 4, the database file is more than twice the size it was on IPB 3 with basically the same amount of content - at least half a gigabyte now. Are there any tables in the database that can be safely cleared? I can keep a backup of the full original contents in case I need to reimport something, but since I may do regular backups while developing my site it is not ideal to have subsequent backups be so space-consuming.

Hello Everyone, I'm making a new Block on my website with Pages and when trying to save the block I'm getting an error saying Something went wrong. "Check the values provided on the marked tabs and try again" then on the select database tab I get an issue, saying " That value is not allowed" anyone know what's causing this never had this happened and would like to have it fixed!

can you not set specified allowed email to register forums? we used to have this feature in ips 3.x im tired of moderating new members who ends up using temporary email. its incredibly frustrating and timeconsuming when you have to check each time if the emailk is a temporary email or not my email blacklist is 11 pages long and continues to grow because temporary email services continues to buy new domains so this just makes it far worse for webmasters. its far better having whitelist only so i can allow few email domains and avoid moderating new members alltogether @Charles

If I create a discussion forum called Feedback and Suggestions (as an example) and in this parent forum I create two sub forums called company feedback and product feedback. Is there a way to only allow posting in the sub forums but not in the Feedback and Suggestions part?
