I have a photography forum in which people can upload images for various purposes. This means that the forum uploads folder takes a lot of space. Do you know of a way to compress images when they are uploaded? Would it be possible to store the images on a different server, such as Amazon S3?

When I try to upload a file in Downloads, I get an error message: Permissions/etc are correct. If I try bulk upload, it loads the bulk upload page, but after uploading, the Continue button is still grayed out. Not sure if related, but some other pages on the front-end and in the ACP don't load, with an error that starts like 'OutOfRangeException: (0)' followed by a bunch of paths. Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply Ryan. Just bought Pages and took a look at the converter, which of these options I should select on Step 1 for a WP import? If I had to guess, I'd guess Blog Data but that only gives me an import option for vBulletin Blog. :/ Thanks in advance!

I decided to add the Popular Now/Topics to my Sidebar/Blocks area. The Block moves there but says. "The Block can not be shown....configuring...show after reloading page..." etc. Ive refreshed, closed and opened Board etc and its blank on Home page. Other Blocks moved there are fine like stats, and calendar. Ideas...?

So basically what I am saying is there anyway to put a block in a forum and for it to show topics only from the forum which the user is in. i.e. Say you're in General Discussion, and there's a sidebar with a topics block, that block would only show topics from said forum. Thanks!

We have the IPS Commerce package and would like to know what options we have for integrating another email or a set of emails onto our community . to be more specific - we have a help desk support email system that works through users submitting questions through email. we would like to be able to forward the same emails in the form of posts to our forums community. Hi guys, Eek, help, not sure if I've mucked something up. I've decided to use Amazon S3 for my file uploads and gallery images. I decided to test it by setting Profile Photos Advertisements Forum icons and maybe a few others to the S3, on the basis that it would be quicker to test than my uploads folder. I decided this was maybe a daft idea and switched them back. I got an error that "files were being moved" but after I saved the page they are showing as back to my server location. I then switched attachments and Gallery Images to the Amazon S3 server However I'm now getting broken image links on my forum. Even my forum icons …

Hello I am trying to set my sitye up to use amazon cloudfront as a cdn. Itsy free for the year so why not. Amazon however isnt the friendliest when it comes to guides from someone new to the whole cdn prospect. I have used maxcdn before for xenforo, but for ipb this will be a first. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of this and able to help me out ?
