I just notice an odd problem today. On some of the text links (circled in the image below) when hovering over them, the member's hovercard does not display, only a message saying "There was a problem loading this content." You can also see that in the image. If I hover over the member's avatar the member's hovercard displays as expected. What would be causing this?

In User Groups, under the Content tab of a selected group, there is "Total maximum storage space" for uploads. Is this for post/PM attachments only, or does it also include uploads to the Gallery? - if not, where do I find Gallery storage permissions? I tested uploading a 1mb image to the gallery and the storage indication bar on the My Attachments page didn't move.

Hi On verison 3.4 i used to dump the db every day using the following example mysqldump -uuser -pXXXXXX Table | gzip > /home/XXXX.gz But since updating the to v4 I am getting locked tables while it is duming the database. Anyone know of a safe way to dump the db without locking and is safe?

I'm trying to do a fresh installation of IPS Community Suite on my local machine. Here's what I do: I extract the ips_786f4 folder from the "March_23_2017 IPS Community Suite.zip" file. I copy the content of that folder to an Apache web accessible folder. So that /admin, /api, etc. are at the document root. I load up localhost in my browser. This shows a page with the "Start Installation" button - see the attached step1.png I click the button and I immediately see the page with the error shown in step2.png It looks like the php code should be calling mysqli_select_db() or mysqli::select_db(), but I could not find any such code…

I've followed it all, up till the screencast point #3. How can I do this when it doesn't post to facebook? When I click share to facebook, nothing happens, I'm assuming because it's not been setup yet. So how can I show how it appears on a timeline in a screencast?

I have a custom registration field that I require uses to fill out when they register. If a user registers via Facebook they are not prompted to enter this field. Is it possible to force users who register via Facebook to fill in the field?

I want to create a secondary group that restricts access from the "off topic" forum on my site so I can stop "problem users" from constantly posting their bad political opinions, but I have found that creating a "banned from X" secondary group that precisely copies the normal Members group except for turning off access to a certain forum, simply does nothing. Are permissions for people in multiple groups always the sum of all positive permissions from those groups? Is there no way to selectively restrict certain users from accessing certain places?

Hi! I'm having a silly issue; the only profile picture I can get is from Facebook "sync". Can't upload custom profile picture. I know this worked before (enabling Facebook login) as I had it setup. When I was going through some settings and removed my custom profile pic, it became clear on this problem. Any clues? Thanks

I have my forum hosted by Invision, since moving to Invision's hosting, the e-mail address I use for forwarding emails to my personal account no longer works. What (economic) options are available to re-enable email forwarding ? I want people to be able to email me name@forumdomain.com and have it be forwarded me to my personal e-mail address.

Ok, not IPS-specific, but: After reading the long thread which sprang up over the imminent demise of IP.Chat, I decided to check out BlaB! 8 at www.justblab.com. Looks promising for someone who hardly ever uses chat, and the price is right (as in free). Problem is, after I upload it, follow all the on-site directions and run it to install, it craps out with a dreaded Error 500 (which may explain why putting it on my main site and trying to install it threw back an IPS "Resource Not Found"). Ok, so I finally got static.losdurosdelgenero.com working and serving as a CDN for all my static contect such as CCS, JS, themes, etc.. GTMetrix is still saying that static.losdurosdelgenero.com is NOT a cookie-less server. I am guessing that my setup is serving cookies to everything across my losdurosdelgenero.com domain. How can I setup my IPS so that only www.losdurosdelgenero.com has cookies and static.losdurosdelgenero.com is cookie-less?
