Hi! What's the best way to add an RSS feed block to a forum module? The forum is https://www.alfredforum.com which is our Alfred users' community. I'd love to add in a block above the forum sections, where I can insert the RSS feed for our blog, allowing users to see a summary of the latest blog post or two (which highlights new features, shares tutorials, etc) We're using the cloud-hosted version of IPBoard, if that makes any difference to what functionality is available to us. Often, moderators move the topic to a restricted sub-forum where only advanced users have access. I would like the common user who created the topic to have full access only in the moved topic and also to view the list of topics in this restricted sub-forum. I tried disabling "Users can see topics posted by other users?" And enable "Users without read permission can open forum?" That almost worked. The ordinary user can view and publish the topic created by him. Unfortunately, I can not see the other topics in this sub-forum (I want the normal user to see the list of other topics in this restricted sub-forum and only have access to his topic). Doe…

Moved from 3.4.x to 4.0.13.1 last week. When in the editor, my smileys show: But I can't see all of them unless I go to the Categories and select the default group: And now all will show with the scroll bar: My question is --- how can I get them all to show (with scroll bar) by default -- the group name for the emoticons (as you can tell by the screenshots) is the exact same group: "core_emoticon_group_default" -- it just won't show all to begin with and I'd like the last screen to be how it shows when one clicks on the emoticon icon in the editor toolbar. I am constantly getting error code 3L182/3 and it says its coming because guests are choosing an invalid date. I have the calendar blocked from guests so I'm not sure why I keep getting this error. It's extremely annoying. Does anyone know how to fix it? Here is a screen shot of my error log....

So the other day one of my friends tagged me in a post on their own wall. My facebook status is synced to my profile on my site. That status update that I was tagged in showed up as a status update in my site's feed. I don't think it's supposed to work that way.

I've learned during my short tenure as a Member of this Forum that many if not most Members are very savvy as far as backend script and coding, and generally comfortable fooling with the IPS software, including using the available Plug Ins. Count me as being not one of those Members...I'm mainly a front-end owner, Administrator, Moderator of a Board/Forums. What is that exactly. These are people, Guests not logged in that get to the Registration/Log In part of the purchase process and then bail out? Is it kind of a dropped cart indicator or did I set someting up wrong? I have been selling stuff through the site for years, but always phsycial products. Never electronic tickets I email later. How to control Guest access to clubs? For "regular" forums it's done in the Group-setting but I don't see Clubs listed. The club-setting (Open/Public/Closed..) also impact registered users and I just want to block Guests from accessing Clubs. Any ideas?

Hope someone can help me understand this? When i add a file by URL, will it upload, save it to my server? If i upload let say 2 file by URL to a package i can see whole URL when i start download the file. But when i upload just one file by URL to the source URL is hide. But the problem if i start to charge for the file and i upload the file to a package and someone buy to download the file he or she can see the source from where the file is from. And the buyer can then use the source URL to give to a friend for free. If i use a file hosting like google drive or some other file hosting company they will see the source URL.

Hi all, I've migrated from vBulletin 4.x to IPS 4.1.13.1 and I need to do afresh start for all members (all groups). So, I need to reset the reputation levels of all users to 0. How can I do it? I can't find any option in ACP or with any third-party app in Marketplace. Somebody please guide me how to do that? If there is a need execute some MySQL query, I'm happy to do that. P.S. IPS support said they can't tell us any such option via MySQL query since nothing in this regard has been tested by them. Thanks, Peter

Profile photo with transparent background. When we put photos in the profile with transparent background in .png format Automatically the transparency turns white and quality is lost. The avatar is not too blurry either. Is there any way to keep the image transparent?
