We have a new user to our site who just registered and is not being allowed to post any topics to our forum. He keeps getting a message that he is banned and not allowed to post. Could a site admin please check. I have whitelisted his IP address that keeps showing up in the Spam Defense.

We are on vs 4.7.16 but cannot upgrade. It directs to the upgrade area. It says to confirm third party resource check. After which point the continue button is avaliable. Then it redirects to a page that says no "There are no applications available to upgrade". We believe this also may be affecting our downloads since no previous downloads are working. It starts here -> /admin/?app=core&module=system&controller=upgrade And then goes here -> /admin/upgrade/?controller=applications&key=<REDACTED>

Dear IPS support, affected file: system/Content/Controller.php The function "report()" doesn't check if there is more than one type available. It shows always the selection box with one entry. I have observed this for CMS\records. The function "_report( $commentClass, $comment, $item )" does this check and the dropdown is hidden if there are no custom types defined. Please have a look and add this check in th "report()" function too. Thanks.

Hi, I'm attaching sound files on pages and inserting them into the body; they range from 10 minutes to 50 minutes long. When opening the page on an iPhone 13 Pro, they often do not load, and we get an error, and they will not play. I have tried this on various browsers on the iPhone, and it's the same. They do download ok, but not play. A quick test on an Android phone did not show this error. This is not happening on my desktop; it is connected to 30MB of broadband, and the iPhone is too. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Alex

When a poll allows for multiple answers, the percentage are tallied as a percent of answers, when they should be tallied a a percent of voters? For example below, 53 voters out of 69 have selected the 2nd answer, that should be 76.81% and not 22.94%?

Good evening! I guess the page is not supposed to look like this... I thought maybe the translation has broken something in the code, but when I reinstalled the previous translation and checked the new lines, I didn't find any missing brackets or something. Please help, I need this page working, so I could check what I need to do before v5 upgrade.

After todays episode of "forum maintenance", it seems some members are complaining of missing emojis. I have asked them to clear their browsers but upon looking myself, I see that there are a number missing. Browsers are cleared, as per the email that was sent however, this is consistent across both sites here.

Hi as in the title, am unable to login to my forum and when I try to use the forgotten/recover password feature it doesn't send an email to my registered email address. Sadly getting older getting more forgetful and trying to resolve the issue if disappearing images since yesterday but cannot login, or access the admin area to follow the advice provided here. I downloaded and installed the security update 4.7.19 to my live instance, and have been hit with this error at the very start of the upgrade process: I cannot proceed, refreshing does nothing, and I cannot roll back the option to initiate the upgrade to "unlock" my community - as a result my website is now stuck on the 'upgrading' notice page and I cannot resolve this. This is urgent as I need the site to be live today; can someone please assist?

For once I'm reporting an issue that does not affect my own site, but only the invisioncommunity.com website. However, it's an issue I've already experienced on my own site in the past. In my experience, this issue is only with Invision sites. Today I went to invisioncommunity.com on my laptop and the site didn't load properly. Basically I could tell that the CSS files weren't loaded, so I saw generic text and a few HUGE logos. I didn't think it was worth reporting. Since upgrading to 4.7.19, the forum has been automatically hiding several posts and waiting for moderator approval, with a message saying that the message is potentially spam. So far, none of the messages have been spam and I don't see why they would have been flagged. I also can't find any system setting to control this.

When I edit a bulk mail, the editor embeds links, for example links to an article show the embed card with a picture, a youtube link shows a youtube thumbnail etc. Once I save the bulk mail, the embeds disappear and I see a text URL and a message to "Visit site to view video content." (with no link so no way to visit the site to view the video content?) I don't mind not being able to embed content in Bulk Mail but perhaps then the editor shouldn't embed the content either so I get a better idea of what the Bulk Mail will look like? Thanks!

Hi, So I updated yesterday as soon as it was hot off the press (v4). It broke my theme and the admin cp is a little off too. It seems to be a javascript or css issue. The main issue is dropdowns dont work. Its also impossible to post a reply. Clicking the box does nothing, Fair enough I will do a restore I thought. However the issue still persists. Something seems to be cached somewhere. i tried clearing system cache and even tried a backup from two days ago, well clear of the update. Is anyone aware of these kind of issues? Thanks, Tom.

On the main forums page I can see that there is a queued post in one of the forums: Normally I click the red '1' and that takes me to the thread with that queued post where again I can see a red '1', and I click it and then I can approve that queued post. This time, when I click the red '1', it shows me a list of only one topic but with no red warning sign and no red '1'. I can't find any queued post in that topic. PS: Stock invision theme, no plug-ins.

This is weird? EDIT: emptying the cache in my browser cleared the red alert and #1 indicating that there was a topic to approve. But that's the first time I see this behavior, the alert normally clears automatically when I approve the topic. LogicPro11-c08.mp4

Hi. I have a problem with clubs. If a member applies to join a club and their request is rejected because they do not meet the criteria at that time, it appears that there is no way for them to apply again. Additionally, one club has changed from a closed to open type, and previously rejected members cannot join. They do not necessarily know that they could contact the club owner to invite them, and assume they cannot join. Is there a solution I am missing here? Further, how do we locate all who have been previously rejected (so that they might be invited)?
