After upgrading from IPB 4.5.4.2 to the latest, and upgrading PHP from 7.4 to 8.0, I received a message in the notifications options saying that PHP GMP was not installed. I installed the missing extension and phpinfo() now shows it is active: The push notifications options are again available in the admin panel. When a notification is received, there is a message saying a request will be sent to the browser to enable push notifications, but nothing happens after that: This happens for me (using Brave, shields down) and also for the customer who reported the initial problem. I don't know what browser they are using.

Hello, We've recently upgraded to the Invision v2.7.0 and changed our PHP version to 8.1 which is supported now. After this change we see some errors coming from the profilesync maintenance task not being able to run due to errors. Our logs go back one week and this error started after the upgrade, prior it was not causing issues. Currently I am storing most of my files in a AWS S3 bucket. However I want to change it to use a custom URL so I can take advantage of a CDN in front of my S3 bucket. My question is how will this impact my community when I make this change? Is it an instant change or will there be some time that it will take to update the URL's to use the new custom URL I have specified. This would obviously also change the S3 Bucket name as I will need to create a new S3 bucket that uses my the domain I chose for the CDN. During this I may also change the region the bucket is located in so the endpoint will change, though will this make a difference since I am using a custom URL? Thank y…

Hi there We recently transferred to a new hosting provider and are now getting errors from the email system telling us that the last 28 emails failed to send and that there may be a problem wth our configuration. Hello, I have an issue with my form > field type > select box options which i would like to display in two different languages depending on the selected language. The form field name has the possibility to display another language but the options of the select box does not. Hi, We've quite many PDFs and other similar files that we use Pages to host and make available for the community. Those files are often updated, so it's important for us the user opens the latest version. Today the standard behaviour is that the file downloads, but how can we make it open "embedded" in a new tab instead?

We would like to add some sort of warning/notice on the registration page, advising users to be very careful when choosing a username. We have a "sensitive" matter forum and we have had some cases of users getting trolled because of the topics matter and being able to identify them through their username. While I realise it is really "privacy 101" we do have cases where members are trolled and would like to add some warning on the registration form, suggesting that users choose a username that would not be able to be associate with them. I just upgraded my forums to 4.7 (was on 4.2.9). Things are looking good for the most part, but I'm seeing images that are not displaying. See this post (Trip Report) for example: What I found is that the images found in /forms/uploads/monthy_YEAR_MONTH where Year= for ex 2007 and MONTH = 12. So ALL the images that were uploaded to IPB since we originally installed it were missing. That is a big part of our bread and butter for our site. Did I mess up? I copied the files and directories as the instructions indicate. Somehow all those went missing. Or are they moved by this version? If they are moved, where and why and is there a config I change to adapt?…

Not quite sure what's going on over the past month, but my cloud hosted site with Invision has been plagued by "This community is temporarily unavailable" errors at least once a day for the past month and a bit. I have noticed the client area here says I'm at 494.7gb / 7.5gb and have ZERO idea where this extra 490 gb are coming from as last I checked, we were JUST over 1 gb of site storage used. My users are asking us to change host providers at this point as the interruptions are affecting all our external applications that are integrated with the site, and at this point we are tempted to do so. Please help. 🙂

Hello, I renewed my license after 4 years, so before I hit anything in upgrade proccess, what is good to know? 4.2.7 is not compatible with PHP 8 and 4.7.x needs at least PHP 8. Is upgrade script able work under php 7.4? Or is there other way how to successfull upgrade? Thanks.

I'm using IPS Core + Commerce (Nexus) and turned on referrals settings. The problem is that when I check referrals list I see only first page (first 20 records). How can I ? 1) remove this limitation OR 2) add paginations so users can see all pages if they have over 20 referrals. Thank you,

I randomly discovered after upgrading that one of my forums (only one of all of them!) had some statistics enabled when in Topic view (not visible otherwise). How do I turn this on for other topics by default for other forums? See attached screenshot.

Hello, I just ran the upgrade and it came back saying security token had expired and to run the upgrade again to fix, but there is no option to update now and the forum in unreachable. Thanks for your help! I was able to restart it by going to mysite.com/admin/upgrade Fixed it. Sorry for the false alarm.
