We would certainly accept this pricing policy (at least personally) if and only if our requests were taken into account regarding Ipboard.
Starting with the most important one, the page loading speed and a mobile friendly version.
Compare IPB to any other forum system, you will understand, the pages load much too slowly and this problem has been raised many times.

Not my case. This is my only source of income for a couple of years or so (yes, I’m not crazy to have 200 resources for nothing) but honestly, this is becoming a pain more and more at every “new thing” IPS does.
IPS don’t listen. Just read. Try to justify things and that’s it. Nothing will change.
So for the rest (of us) stop wasting your time debating here. That’s how it will be from now on.

It's something that has come up in the past. The trouble is making it a fair system.

If you're a developer who is making regular sales, would they deserve a free license at this point over someone who is trying to publish their first app? if you say that any developer can have a free license, how do they develop before they get a free license?

If we say you get free renewals, where is the threshold? A developer who spends 8 hours a day, 5 days a week making apps and looking after customers or someone who gets a basic plug-in published? Where is the line?

It's a system that need a lot of thought should be implement it.

I know I've contributed well enough to this thread, so I'll end on this note. You're very clearly out of touch with your customer base. If you think we're just going to "get over it" while you're mocking us by advertising cloud hosting, you're mistaken.
You're going to lose the majority of clients that kept the marketplace alive, and following that the developers you've repeatedly hurt by your radical changes to the marketplace over the last several months.
I hope it was worth it.
    </end rant>

    Jesus Christ
The timing of this is just so uncanny to me. I was already doing the last app/plugin updates for what we have on our community with our current renewal, but we(staff) already silently decided to leave Invision behind going forward and I'd say we made this decision at the perfect time.
When I joined back in 2017 this community was thriving. Now I come to check and it's quite dead when you take into consideration how many users it has and how many used to be active. I believe the final nail in the coffin for this was when the forum was reorganized and all community content was placed behind a paywall (needing an active license).  It's pretty much a ghost town unless you give someone something to argue about, but I've already given my opinions on this in the past so I won't waste time rehashing.
In the past year alone we have noticed a huge decline in the marketplace with numerous developers leaving and a lot of things becoming abandoned due to low sales and neglect from Invision's part for some of their own apps. I've been worried about this since 2018/19, and my concern just kept growing after each update and policy change. I've slowly realized that this may have not been the best software to use for my type of community, but I knew with the marketplace we could do our best to mold it the way we need it.  That clearly won't be an option for us now when there's only a few developers I trust to buy from and I see them posting about dropping support for apps that we use heavily. (An art site can't exist without a gallery, even though the gallery app is the most atrocious thing and we've spent so much money trying to improve it ourselves.)
I say good luck to those who didn't have plans of leaving before today and also to those who decide to stay due to whatever circumstances. We've put thousands of dollars into this software, but eventually you have to sit down and really think about whether or not taking the loss is worth it in the end if you can do better elsewhere. The lack of transparency while preaching about transparency, the cheesy community manager reply rhetoric, and the subtle gaslighting is just bonkers.

The only way I would go, would be ...
The current costs of $ 310 split to $ 155 if the customer pay in 6 month method, or a customer benefit of $ 210 if you pay annually. This gives IPS a clear advance and allows you to calculate better.
At the same time, the (loyal) customer receives a loyalty bonus if he pays annually in advance.
That would be one way that I would support.

Bottom line: You didn't communicate these changes effectively at all, and you didn't learn from the last time(s) you didn't communicate effectively.
What will the next surprise be that you don't communicate effectively to your customers be?

I've been wondering for a few hours whether to leave an opinion or not ...
I can accept new prices - it is clear that you have an argument for this.
    But!?!
Even 4.6.6 does not offer a performance boost, especially for mobile.
Too many sites that allow Google ads - Web Vitals have desperately bad results - I don't see anything in this direction in your work, developers.
And what should owners of these sites do? Google lowers their revenue, you increase their license!
Apart from your own budget, don't you have an interest in performance improvements for your clients?
You have good enough developers and you can easily solve all the requirements for Web Vitals. Why don't you do it?
I wonder if I'm wondering, but your new site is also performing poorly

Your FCP and LCP results for the last few hours are deteriorating.
You have also allowed duplication ID of "elSigninButton_mobile".
    https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=https%3A%2F%2Finvisioncommunity.com%2Fforums
In short - nothing new, but more expensive.

The higher prices will have a big impact on the Marketplace too.
    - Many ppl will leave IPS -> less sales in the MP.
    - The ones that don't leave won't invest as much as before in addons.
    - Less addon sales will make devs switch to other platforms.
    - Less and bad supported addons will frighten new customers
(that and the high prices for the basic backage of course).

I've done it - removed my payment method and exploring other options. No one likes price rises, but when people are still recovering from the pandemic this is like a sledgehammer blow.  It's also going to affect devs who supply much needed apps in the marketplace; if people start leaving then their revenue is going to slip and then they may leave too.  It's a slippery slope IPS has ventured into and may be something to regret later. I just bought another license this year for another project, now that's on the bonfire until I find another solution.  Talk about being hit between the eyes!

Wow, are we allowed to sell our licenses?  If yes, I suspect there will be many available.
It's cheaper to buy new XenForo licenses than to renew.
I run three hobby sites, I don't think I can afford this any longer.  To be honest, it feels like this is your market plan.  Over the years changes are made and we're told many people asked fox xyz, when there are no posts ever made about xyz.  Likely it's your high paying corporate accounts asking to add or remove these features.  I fear us small site aren't worth it any longer for you.
I recently renewed so I will be here a while longer, but I can't say I'll renew again.

I should have kept my face shut when I was suggesting Invision raise prices.

But, in all seriousness I have no issue with the increase itself. But for a company that's apparently expert in all things communication, it's a bit weird to see it just dropped in there with a site redesign rather than pre-announcing it, emailing customers in advance or whatever else.
The site does look waaaay better than it did though.

Percival reacted to Redmak in Anonymize flagged as spammer display names
Whenever I flag a spammer certain actions are carried out to ban the account and IP and also soft delete their posts, but one thing that I think should be taken into consideration is freeing up display name choices of spammers. In many cases the names are now thought out well to try and bypass the antispam checks, meaning it is forever lost to genuine members registering later.
Simply: On flag as spammer, also randomize the member name to guest[number] similar to what the GDPR task does.
    I currently am using 4.6.5.1.

This issue has been confirmed by IPS through a support ticket and the good news is they are working on a fix. The workaround is to re-save the content notification setting either by logging in as the user or through the ACP. One you re-save, the email notification is sent after content is approved. I've tested and used this workaround multiple times and has worked for me. For now its an extra few steps but hopefully there will be a patch or fix soon. This is important for some of my sites as it triggers the content poster to come back.

Does it comes from Tutorials? Are you sure? I have 2 language bits with 'settings' in the key:
'menu__tutorials_tutorials_settings' => 'Settings', 'acplogs__tutorials_settings' => 'Updated Tutorials settings', In the same screen you took this screenshot, it shows the app or plugin where it comes from.

I'm fine with the new badges, but I'm REALLY missing all of the profile info below the avatar.
These fields should be a built in option to display under the avatar "Join Date/Total Posts/Rep/ Location and other custom fields"
I think having it displayed gives a member "forum cred" at a glance.  Heck, I didn't even know you had to "hover" over the avatar to see that info.
You shouldn't need a plugin in order to display that basic information.
