Fosters Crew is pleased to present the latest version of Application Forms v2.0.0 available immediately in the IPS Marketplace for purchase! The updated version is 4.2 compatible, which means it's ready to be installed on all 4.2.x installations and betas.
Buy now or upgrade your existing copy:

MAJOR UPDATE
Application Forms v2.0.0 is a major rewrite of the application, with refactored code and significantly new features. Application Forms is one of the most popular applications in the IPS Marketplace, so we wanted to ensure we added the most popular and requested features. This required us to refactor our code from scratch and ensure we had a stable codebase to develop on for the future. We will continue to maintain and develop off the application's 2.x line, and we hope you will continue to be delighted with its ongoing development. If you like our products, please give us a 5-star review in the IPS Marketplace so other users can discover our products too!
Moderator Approval
As one of the biggest feature updates in 2.0.0, Moderators and staff members can approve application forms from the front-end! Give new permissions to your Moderator groups and to specific Moderators in the ACP. This will enable your moderators to manage, approve, and decline submissions in the ModCP.
New permissions for ACP > Members > Moderators
ABOUT
Application Forms opens up a world of possibility for you and your community by designing, curating, and managing custom application forms. Application forms can be designed from scratch with an infinite number of custom field types in over 20 different types, enabling you to fill any need you or your community might have. Let your community submit their application for your position, proposal, project, or idea!

I can't wait to get my hands on this. Awesome work yet again!
Thanks. It's really an awesome feature. I've spent the last hour implementing this and the forum blocks on one of my boards. I'm really expecting a higher interest from advertisers, now where we can place their ads only in the specific forums and categories and target their real audience( They're paying for impressions and now they're not wasting them anymore by showing the ads in not related forums)

Application was finally approved! Enjoy it:)

Will this work with Group Collaboration? https://invisioncommunity.com/clients/purchases/56156-group-collaboration-full/
If not, I have a feature request
I don't know, but if it should work it uses the default content templates

- Content Preview
- Language String Hardcoded

Is there any plans for an update on the block styling ?
currently mine looks like
Which does the job, however, it would be good to have some styling or for it to show minimised version of the open applications page itself with an image etc.
just a thought for maybe in the future.
Yes, 2.0 got a design overhaul
The file which you get from https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/8394-application-forms/ is the tar file. This file needs to be uploaded via the ACP => Applications => Install

It does seem to be a bug then.. I installed this on IPS 4.2.2
Any suggestions I can try doing from my end?
The bookmarked posts do take me correctly to the correct posts, but the preview always uses the first post.
I can't reproduce this. Could you please send me a PM with your URL and admin login credentials to take a look at this? Thanks

Thx. No need to do anything, I'll test this later today and release a bugfix release if I'm able to reproduce it since we have already some other minor fixed bugs in the pipeline.

Hi @Fosters went ahead with this module.
Is there any way to adjust the preview of the bookmark so it shows the actual post and not the first post of the topic?
It should show the post if you bookmark a post, if this isn't a case, it's a bug.

Oh, excellent. I'm going to keep an eye on this.
It'd be great to see it work for databases -- I'd even pay for a separate app to do such a thing.
Yea, a separate app for pages app is already finished and being tested should be released later today

I havent tested it but it should. Just buy and test it ? since this product has no renewal fees, it doesn't matter if you buy it today or in weeks once you upgrade to 4.2

@FGN you could use trophies and medals and award an medal on validation (I could help for free with implementing this) or associate a trophy with a specific criteria which only applies to verified members (It seems that verified members are moved to a specific group, so you could create a trophy which is only awarded to members from this group)

Yes, but I would suggest to the just released version. It fixes some minor bugs:
- Arrays weren't shown in the criteria debugger
- Post Range Criteria didn't work

Thanks @Fosters for the quick response.
So follow up question - if a member makes a public bookmark (which results in bookmark showing in activity stream) then decides to quickly change it to a private bookmark, will the activity stream update? (it should disappear from activity stream?)
I'm just thinking from an adult content point of view which will be protected by Club permissions - if someone accidentally makes a public bookmark.. I'm a little worried the thumbnail of gallery album/image will appear in the stream.. if member realises mistake and can change it back to Private then that should be okay.
4Yes.
I think it would be a good idea to create a setting to disallow public bookmarks for such usecases I've added it to our bug & suggestion tracker

Does this work with albums/images/topics/posts in Clubs?
Yes
4 minutes ago, Optic14 said:If the Club is secret, can you confirm the action of bookmarking won't appear in the All Activity stream?
No, the activity stream is only based on the bookmark type.
If it is bookmarked public, it will appear in the stream and on the profile, no matter of the club or content view permissions -
We have released version 1.1.1 of Member Lists.

- The members name opens now the memberhovercard on hover
- The permission setting was moved to the node permissions system

SNEAK PREVIEW
As an early preview of Application Forms 2.0, I wanted to share teasers of new features in the brand new Application Forms. The application is being refactored with many changes, including some highly-requested new features on the front-end!
Check out these teasers and stay tuned for more news!
Create unique Application Forms with text, calendar dates, and list. Once you submit, get a congratulation message to let you know you've Submitted!
Give power to your Moderators to manage application forms! With brand new abilities in ModCP, your moderators can read, approve, and deny submissions all on the front-end!
As a last update (but no screenshot - sorry!), the data from Application Forms will be stored to the database. This means that a forum topic topic won't be necessary, but can still be utilized for further team discussions and polling.
If you'd like to update, renew, or buy Application Forms before the new version comes out (and the prices goes up!), lock in your version today in the IPS Marketplace:
