  1. Please ensure that you're not missing any files there. Looks like something may be missing.
  2. I would recommend reaching out to Tapatalk for the best way of uninstalling. As it is their application, they are the best source. I can’t remember if it had an ACP component in version 3 so if it did, you’ll want to remove anything there too. Right now, you are getting stuck on a database conversion to UTF8 so nothing in the folder is preventing this from working so I would not go that far yet. However, you only need the database to perform an upgrade. That will carry all your data.
  3. These are in your database so you would need to restore a backup of files and database to get back to where you were before the upgrade attempt or if you want to move forward using those applications, you would need to purchase those applications for your license.
  4. Is the account on file the one you're using to encounter these problems? Unfortunately, I am not encountering any issues with that account. Could you please try using an unmodified, English language pack? This may be the issue.
  5. Correct. Both board_url or base_url are accepted. board_url is typically from older installations.

  8. It will not. (Most our team runs on Macs πŸ™‚ ) Sometimes macOS creates .DS_Store files in directories when extracting but they will not interfere with the software, you will just want to have your hosting provider remove any if yours has done this.
  9. Did you leave the conversation? (aka delete in the messenger inbox). That would remove it from your view but still leave the conversation in the database (until the other users leaves it).
  10. Based on the information provided, this may be establishing a connection with your MySQL server during a background task. You would want to monitor your MySQL logs and work with your hosting provider to understand more.

  13. It would be recommended to not use simple mathematic equations. It is best to use a question specific to your niche that only your real users would know and which can’t be easily Googled. Bots can easily do math these days and there are humans who will do research and post it on spammer sites for other bots to use so you also will want to rotate your questions frequently.

  15. Randy does not work for IPS so would not have access. We also have not done anything so you would need to ask your hosting provider.
  16. We are trying to have you obtain the update. You are not doing a fresh install. The steps provided will not impact your community negatively. You cannot apply a patch once the upgrade is available. You will need to perform the manual upgrade as mentioned.
