This has been resolved in the latest 4.6.8 release. Please upgrade to get the latest release, and let us know if you see any further issues.

    Hi.
I have a problem with the cache error notification.
I connected Redis and in my opinion it works fine, but for some reason it gives an error.

    What could be the reason?
And I also have two setup questions. Do I need to set a password on the Redis server or not? There is no password now.
And second, if Redis is enabled, is it possible to configure additional compression and caching at the server level?

Yes, it looks like you were right, this notification was cached, and after a while it disappeared.

I would recommend reviewing your System Log to see if any errors are coming up in there. Additionally, the warning is cached so could be delayed when the resolution has been fixed.
For your questions containing the Redis server setup itself, I have moved your topic to our server assistance forum where fellow administrators can assist you.

The last few years I have used Facebook to talk with my son and to wish friends and family members birthday greetings. This last year I haven't wasted my time.

My eldest is 23 and uses it rarely. my 19 yr old has an account, but cant remember the last time I saw him on it. I think its decline in new generation users has been going on for quite some time.

I agree. My eldest son is 13 and he doesn't want anything to do with it. It probably has less than a decade left in its current form.

Facebook isn't going anywhere in the short term. Horizon or whatever, will be the parent company. Facebook will just be one of the app/sub-companies. Its a bunch of nothing news for the general user and more for zukerberg and team to untie all that is tied to facebook. This way you can shut that down if needed and/or still operate the other companies/profit centers independently of one another under a new parent company name.  The writing is on the wall for facebook, younger generations want nothing to do with it. Add to that all the controversy, this is the smartest thing they can do to separate their businesses.

It would be great to be able to edit content within the moderator approval queue. Have an Edit button next to Delete. Ideally that then allows you to edit and move content as needed. But if that's too difficult to implement, maybe the edit button just takes you to the actual content to edit (in edit mode) and once you complete, save, and approve, maybe it brings you back to the approval queue for the next content to edit.
I would also like titles editable by hover/click (like they are elsewhere) and maybe the ability to add tags within this step.

    Happy Hump Day, team!
I'm pleased to announce our community is currently on 4.6.8 Beta 1. 🎉
4.6.8 will be available for all in the near future.
    Key Changes:
SEO improvements with improved crawl efficiency New achievement actions for Commerce and Downloads Achievement ranks and points added to the member CSV export Achievement filters added for bulk mail and group promotion New REST API endpoints for reporting and reacting to content Audio files now play in-browser New emails for when a new rank or badge is earned JSON-LD improvement for Pages and Gallery New statistic graphs for many areas including: moderator activity, deleted content, reports, warnings, follows, member preferences, spam defense, QA topics, solved topics by forum and achievement badges by member or member group. See the full list of changes on our Release Notes page.
In addition to the SEO improvements (learn more about that here), there are some new stats & reporting metrics updates to the platform to help you maximize community growth. Some of those include:
New Moderation reports (teaser: # of warnings given) New Achievements metrics (teaser: members with the most badges) Why is this important?
Gathering information, then understanding what to do with it, is essential for sustainability. Reporting tools available in the Invision Community platform can help you better understand the inner workings of your community and decide whether your current setup is leading you towards or away from your bottom line.
Be on the lookout; we have a couple of blog posts on the way that dive deeper into the metrics as well as the Achievements refinements mentioned in the Key Changes.
Have any questions about 4.6.8? Drop us a line in the comments - we'd love to hear from you!

You can probably use the BULK_MAILS_PER_CYCLE constant to define how many emails are processed per cycle. It's not exactly what you were asking for, but it should work;)

I am currently trying out Amazon SES. It says my current limits are:
Would the second value conflict with sending out newsletters via IPS’ bulk mail feature?
And wasn’t there once a setting to use separate services for bulk mail vs. transactional mails? I can’t find that anymore.

Yup! They also have a image hosting with similar terms. You can upload like a 12k photo and have up to 10 different resolutions for no extra charge.

    Edit:
Good news. Cloudflare is actually working on their own object storage:

I've requested this several times over the years, but I'd like to see built-in support for Cloudflare Stream Video attachments.
Cloudflare Stream is economical with streaming costs at $1 per 1,000 minutes viewed and storage costs at $5 per 1,000 minutes stored.
The service has matured over the past year and you can have Invision Community members upload videos (in any format) directly to Cloudflare Stream (using TUS JS client) and embed the Cloudflare Stream free player for viewing the video attachments. You can also download the transcoded MP4 for long term storage (presumably in the cloud with a cheap cloud storage service like Backblaze B2).
I'd like the plugin to upload, store and stream video attachments in Cloudflare Stream for 30 days. After 30 days, Invision Community could automatically move the MP4 to object storage and embed it directly in older posts using the <video> tag and built-in browser's video player. This would save Cloudflare Stream fees after 30 days and uses Cloudflare Stream for uploading and transcoding videos.
I use Backblaze B2 and Cloudflare to eliminate bandwidth fees and only pay $5/TB/month for B2 object storage. At this price, I can afford to keep videos available for viewing even when attached to very old posts.

    What is IndexNow?
IndexNow is an easy way for websites owners to instantly inform search engines about latest content changes on their website. In its simplest form, IndexNow is a simple ping so that search engines know that a URL and its content has been added, updated, or deleted, allowing search engines to quickly reflect this change in their search results.
Without IndexNow, it can take days to weeks for search engines to discover that the content has changed, as search engines don’t crawl every URL often. With IndexNow, search engines know immediately the "URLs that have changed, helping them prioritize crawl for these URLs and thereby limiting organic crawling to discover new content."
IndexNow is offered under the terms of the Attribution-ShareAlike Creative Commons License and has support from Microsoft Bing, Yandex.
