Strange question, but do you have opcache enabled by chance under your php settings? Seems like 4.7.0 doesn't seem to like it. I could be wrong, but I had strange things happen when I enabled it using 4.7.0, once I shut it off everything went back to normal. Just throwing things out there you might try.
-
Can you explain what you mean by 'crash'? Do you get an error message? Are you using the latest 4.7.0 version? What PHP version are you running as well?
-
I got a simliar message the other day, I disabled opcache and it fixed it. Seems like IPS, or at least the latest version doesn't like opcache? Might try it, I see in your screenshot you have it enabled.
-
I don't know if this is anything related, so I thought I would throw it out there. But recently I started getting an http 500 errors here and there. I have never had them before, so I started to back track what I have changed recently. I ended up enabling opcache the other day and when I un-enabled it I haven't had an error since. Your case may vary.

As I keep mentioning, we want to rewrite our CSS to make it have a smaller footprint. It is going to take time.

Wouldn't know where to start.
Constant - RECOVERY_MODE
Use - Used for recovery of the system when failure occurs in 3rd party items, preventing ACP access
Example value - TRUEAdd:
<?php
\define('RECOVERY_MODE','TRUE'); -

I have been noticing this on IPS website. Is this something new, or is this built into the default core?
-
Ok thanks guys!

But if my site isn't getting picked up by Google anyways, wouldn't Google just crawl the correct links again in time?

I was wondering if it is safe to remove the Converter app from applications? I did a conversion from Xenforo to IPS back in February. Is there any reason to have it installed anymore? Also while I am on subject, if I remove Converter from login and registrations, any member that has not signed back in using the converter would receive a message that they would have to reset their password correct? I am just trying to get rid of needless things on the board.

Try opening developer tools using F12 and click on Network and then IMG then look at the initiator?

Nice looking site @Jordan Miller, I like the bright colors. @Ehren has the best themes for IPB, always has.
This is mine, which is a modified theme of @Ehren that I have customized myself. I tend to go for a clean look with my site.

Maybe it's just me, but the bionic reading did not change my reading pattern at all. I just ended up reading it at normal speed. In fact maybe even slowly since the darker contrast to lighter contrast makes you pause more while reading. I understand what they are aiming for, but I preferred the normal paragraph in the link above. Maybe it's just me though.

No with the weekend so close. Probably next Tuesday.
What is @Lindy & @Matt throwing a big barbecue and @Jordan Miller is doing the grilling and I wasn't invited?

No final release yet? 😜
-
I would enable it, who doesn't want faster processing times and save on memory?

You can switch to PHP 8.0 now if you want to, it has been supported for months. This is a change to the recommendations that will appear on the support pages. We don't yet have support for PHP 8.1 but we're working on that.
Dam, I miss read that I thought it said PHP 8.1, my bad @Stuart Silvester
-
I saw this:
- Increased minimum PHP version to 7.4 and recommended version to 8.0.
Does this mean we will be able to switch to PHP 8.0 once the final gets released?

Sorry @Jim M I didn't see he was on the Cloud. I was just trying to help the guy out with something I ran across. My site is fine. Ya, I agree, it must be something else.
