Thanks for the update! ☺️ Looking forward to hearing some of the new features for the self-hosted clients when they come out. Thanks for keeping us updated!

Thanks @Adriano Faria I'll wait and try the new pending on then.

@Adriano Faria this won't install through the ACP. Please see this post:

You will want to post in the support thread for whatever resource you're trying to use. 🙂
Wouldn't this be tied to the IPS software? Since it won't even allow the resource to be installed? I'm not having a problem with the add-on, but the ability to just install the add-on.

Good morning. I went to install @Adriano Faria latest add-on update, and I am getting this error in the ACP. I have tried signing both in and out on both the admin account along with the marketplace account, and am still getting this error, any ideas?

Note - This caught me out. I had left my nginx configurations to php7.4, but forgot to force php-cli to be on 7.4, you can do so easily by doing:
update-alternatives --set php /usr/bin/php7.4
@nodle are you sure your background tasks are working on php8.1?
Ya I had no problems, ran like that for months. I wasn’t using CRON entries though, just the default with user activity. But I switched back to 8.0 weeks ago. I did not run any addons (if that makes a difference). When they announce official support I will switch back to 8.1.

Did you ever find a fix for this @Adriano Faria?
-
@Andy MillneYou can also see it won't display on the main page as well, just shows blank.

No. I am am running an older version.
Sounds good, looks like @Daniel F got it taken care of above.

This sounds a lot like this thread:
You don't happen to be running PHP 8.1 by chance, do you?
-
@Andy Millne it looks like it's there when viewing it, but still not showing up correctly?
-
This site, go take a look.

Just wondering if the 500th post icon for making your 500th post only shows 100? (See below) I swear it used to say 500 next to it?

Guess I should had read a little bit lower about the moderation part. I just read the top...
If you had a magic wand to create a new feature or functionality within Invision Community, what would it be?
Sorry guys!

I think the main focus of Invision should be on Forums, I mean that is why we are all here in the first place isn't it? The extras are always nice Clubs, Pages, Ecommerce etc. These are nice and all for extras, but the root of the whole experience is forums. There are a lot of add-ons that could be worked into the forum root like @Adriano Faria posted above. There are some quality-of-life experiences that I feel are missing from the forum experience that should be built in from the beginning.
- Tag editor (it would be nice to have a page built into the ACP where you can view all the tags added, modify, and delete these).
- Updates to email such as the Drip campaign add-on. There should be a built-in system that notices if a user hasn't visited in a while and sends them an email showing them what they have been missing. Sometimes people just get busy and forget to come this, this would help pull back users to your forum.
- Widgets! We all love widgets; it would be nice to see more added. Invision has a genuinely nice drop in place system for these that the competitors can't touch. Expand on these
- Keep the monthly updates coming. One of my favorite things about switching back over. I love seeing new updates coming. (Maybe I am a nerd 🤓) A. It makes me feel like the devs are working for your money and you're getting something of value. B. It's nice having things patched in a timely manner and not having to wait months or years. C. I love when you guys introduce new features, again like A. This makes you feel like you are getting something of value and the software is not going stagnant.
These are just a couple that come to the top of my head that can really add value to the whole forum experience and are standard built into the competitors forum software. Owners' engagement on this forum is also a plus. It's nice to see post from @Jordan Miller since switching back over here he brings life into the forums. Anyways, these are some of my suggestions.

@Adriano Faria an update. I came back from my lunch hour and the same thing as the screen shot above. So, it's not php version related. I don't really know what is causing it. It just seems like if you are logged out after a while and come back it doesn't work properly. Anyways let me know if you ever figure it out.

Indeed we do not yet support 8.1, but we do have it on our radar
Thanks @Marc Stridgen, I dropped back down to 8.0 this morning and will wait for the official announcement. I figured you guys were working with it behind the scenes working out all the bugs before it's ready for prime time.
-
I am going to re-test this install @Adriano Faria, I was running php 8.1 which is not supported yet by Invision. I dropped it back down to php 8.0, and re-installed it, and will see if that had something to do with it.

Problem resolved by Invision Assitance: i downgrade PHP 8.1 to a supported version: PHP 8.0
Thanks for the updated information. That will probably solve my problem since I am running PHP 8.1 as well.

Did you clear cache? The “hook” is supposed to work all the time.
I sure did a few times in fact. Like I said I installed this morning, came back from lunch and it went back like the screenshot above. So logged out and tried again, and tried on mobile phone and same thing. I don't know what changed hours later.
-
Well, it worked fine all morning, came back from lunch and it looks like it's doing it again, so I uninstalled it. I tried both on mobile and desktop, logging in and out, and clearing caches. Any ideas?
-
The new update works like a charm @Adriano Faria, thanks for the support!

@Adriano Faria I just installed this and noticed that it duplicates the user. Basically it leaves both the avatar and username but only on one user. I have signed out/signed back in many times along with clearing all system caches a few times. Any ideas? Screenshot below:

Are you guys testing a new algorithm that can detect Positive/Neutral/Negative posts based off keywords and images that are posted and then incorporate this to something like trending topics or even auto moderiation?
