Hello, What's the correct method on upgrading IPS 3.4.x version which is using old php 5.x env. Migrate the site on my another machine which has php 7.x and then upload the upgrade files? Anything else needs to be done or better option? Thanks

I did conversion from phpBB to IPS 3.x beta years ago. So what it's complaining about? How can I get rid of this errors? An app contains a hook that extends \IPS\convert\Software but it's associated file /home/xxx/public_html/applications/convert/sources/Software/Software.php could not be found.

That's self destruction mode.. i am glad IPS is not auto executing rm -rf haha That would be epic in history lol @Matt - Thanks for the patch! I appreciate it. It was nightmare, last 24 hrs. Now need to chase few app. developers to get stuff updated.

Yeah IPS will not because it doesn't help them to sell it to more users. Their are lot of ways, where IPS could have handled this much better. Allowing customers to know before the upgrade starts, but no - they wanted to forcefully disable it. Irony - is those disabled addons are marked as compatible on IPS website itself for 4.7. Horrible decision from Matt/team and pass the blame game to PHP 8.x.

@Michael.J - IPS has disabled and lock your application. Users are unable to donate on our website. What's your plan to fix it and may be you should have discussion with IPS team.

On top of sometimes, upgrade fails. Had to try 3 times, to get it updated. Just crazy, decisions from IPS lately... to frustrate their own customers and developers. This are the same developers, who have supported your applications for years.

I don't want to create separate topic... but I updated and same thing. This warning should be provided before I upgrade and not post the upgrade. The following third party applications were disabled: marktopic donate cjcontact bulkpm quizzes brilliantdiscord radtags communitymap ideas So now I need to request the developers to fix their code? Did those developers where given enough notice to update their applications? This is piss of play from IPS.

I saw a note in release notes. Can you please re-evaluate this fix? I don't want to FORCE users, just to donate on our site. I also host my site in Europe but I am from US and not fully aware of EU regulations .. but what opentype is saying is true, I will have another issue to deal with. Please review your changes. - Thanks

Ehren is beast (as in best of best) and using his themes since last 10 years appx. I would prefer something light (we already have from IPS) and dark as default from IPS. PS I current have Elegant and one of this dark theme but don't have consistent experience since for both themes, single version is available.

World has moved to light/dark themes in OS, application and also at web level. When does IPS plan to provide dark theme default with forums? I am pretty sure, for skilled developers like IPS, it's not much work and having default theme with nice toggle, will help everyone. PS Yes, I am aware of custom themes but I feel something like this should be default.

I don't have access to ACP for this forum i.e. invisioncommunity. Feedback is in reference to IPS Forum itself, as mentioned in topic title. 🙂
