I have a new version that fixes the immediate welcome and a background queue to remove the legacy field rather then upgrade step.

Noted both for a future version. I like the idea of supporting the calendar.

After IPB 4.5 updates are complete, I can revisit this but for now I was focused on just making sure everything worked with IPB 4.5.x.
Other domain or IPB urls? This will only modify username links in IPB.

IPS Marketplace Revisit*
The IPS Marketplace now requires a change to how some data is stored in applications and plugins. This does not affect how a plugin or app work but does require extra changes. Therefore, some apps or plugins will not be immediately updated in the IPS Marketplace and only available on this site. I will revisit these apps and plugins and make the changes needed to have them updated in the IPS Marketplace as well.

I put alt="{$topic->title}"  and it works fine.

I'm really quite flat out with IPB 4.5 updates so although I'm open to the idea, I probably couldn't look into it for a while.
That's an IPS error, you'll need to contact them why your getting it. I don't have any control over that. Did you make a backup of your site before upgrading? If so, I can help restore the videos that way.
No not supported. Permissions for each category if that's what you mean? No compression, just raw video uploads. File storage settings supported, so you can set the storage path like any other app. HTML5 player. I can setup a demo if you would like to check it out but the Videos app is really much focused on video sites like YouTube and only offers basic video upload support.

Michael, thanks for the offer. Happy to test, and your assistance is not needed to fix anything. It's a test environment that mirrors our production, and we wipe it clean and start anew over and over again as we prepare for 4.5.

This thread was more of a general discussion on what's the plan to address these sorts of issues from the standpoint of the curation and management of the IPS Marketplace.

Yes this was a retroactive change unfortunately, so I needed to handle existing core_members data. I've used the upgrade steps before without fail and you'll have to check with IPS in regards to it's reliability.
But if people are having issues with this, I'll setup a background task instead to shift that data across.
Edit: I assume it's not needed because this is a test server but I would be happy to go in and fix the remaining members manually if the core_members field is still present.
Edit 2: If you've got some free time and wouldn't mind testing a new update. I can provide an update that uses a task instead.

I know it's a bit confusing and I will be clearing it up but you need to enable the "create topic" setting as well. Even if only using the post reply feature.
I will be looking through the beta soon but so far I haven't had any reported issues.
I'm not sure what else to suggest at this point. Are you planning to upgrade to IPB 4.5 soon? As they may have improved the position I can hook into new signups.

Geolocation matches need to use full countries names. So "Australia" in this case.

Silly question but you've also set the topic to add the post reply to?

If there's enough demand for this, I'll consider it. If it's just birthday topics, then adding a few additional message settings shouldn't be a problem. But adding multiple settings for personal messages, topics, emails etc... does take some time.
Possibly... But it might just be easier to have something dedicated to anniversaries instead.

If the application is already Enabled, did you go to your Menu Manager in the ACP under System>Menu Manager? You then click 'Add Item' and select 'Videos', you can drag it and place it where you want in your menu, it defaults placing and newly added item first (at the top). When done make sure to click 'Publish this menu'. This will add it to your menu, if it didn't already once you installed and enabled it.

 

I can add a pin option in the future but pinning a topic for a set time would probably require a new plugin as IPB doesn't natively support that. Again this kinda would require a new plugin to make topics support that.

Is this for the sidebar widget? There should already be something to truncate longer text after 6 lines.
