It would also be good to allow a member to claim a new members as a member that they invited to the forum in case that member signed up without entering the invitation code in instances where it is not required to sign up and remains optional. I think this needs some kind of validation to confirm they did invite them so it may be one of the two following things are in place;
Members email address is on their Invite List and they  register without the code, it still shows as converted to the member that issued the invite. In cases where it was word of mouth, the member that told them about the forum could claim that member was invited by them and it would then need the invitee to confirm that they were invited by this member. You may even feel it appropriate for someone registering on the forum to be able to enter a member display name as the person that invited them in place of the invitation code.
Just a few suggestions to consider.

If the email is already in use by any member, it won't send the invitation.

Not a big thing to me. You should know what's best for your community.
What's New in Version 3.1.0:
Added a widget setting to admin decide who can manage validating queue: if only admins or users from specific user groups. ADMINS is the default value, so nothing will change for those who already use the plugin.

Something along this line would be better....

I will give you an advice that you REALLY should listen: before you buy something, MAKE A PRE-SALE QUESTION! Just because the old version of the plugin has a setting, it doesn't mean that I HAVE TO ADD this setting on new version.
So are you asking to remove the whole security thing from ACP and add a simple check by user group? So if anyone on your board enables it to Guests, it's fine to you?
Will other users that bought this agree with you? This is not a custom plugin made only to you.

Btw, to others: this app won't work with that menu in 4.1 due to changes IPS made to the menu. I will release a 4.1 compatibility without the menu and with the department field in the form.

"Choose a primary group" and "force invitee user to use the same email from invitation" is already done.
I will release those features in a new version tomorrow, then I'll start the 2.1.0 the some suggestions above.

yes - if wish another topic created
no - if wish to use existing topic
 
the current default of creating a 'new' one does mean that a manual database edit is always needed if want to get rid of the 'new' topic and 'use' the existing topic

This looks like the perfect mod! However, I depend on one feature that @JiigSaaw also mentioned, and I would be very greatful if you considered it for a future version.
I'm in need of an option to invite users to groups. When users accepts their invite, they will be upgraded to a group specified in the ACP. I intend to use it for group upgrades only, and leave registration open as it is today.
Do you think this will be a valuable expansion to your fine product? I will certainly be your new customer

Agree with both. Not happy with those buttons too. Maybe a more modern layout would be good there.

Yep I understand, but let me see if I can explain myself.
I only want to use the existing topic if "use forums for comments" is enabled AND if the promoted post is the first on the topic. (I don't see how anyone would want this to be any different, if it's not like that they would just make copies of the same content)
In any other cases it's fine if it creates a new topic.

This plugin will let allowed users to change member groups in Moderator Panel. Admins won't have their group changed.
Settings:
Staff Grups: these groups won't appear as option to the moderator Allowed groups: the groups will be allowed to change member groups on ModeratorCP.  
 

You got an issue on your install, for sure. I use this since 4.0, never had a problem.
