Looks interesting.  If an account is deleted, does that delete their posts also?
If the deleted user had previously been quoted, are those posts also edited to indicate it's a deleted account?

    OK,  Just to update everyone.
I have had the server people edit the Cron Job for the HotAirBalloonist.com site to point to the latest version of PHP on the server.  8.1.+++
They are also going to restore the site from a backup that I had done back in May.  This should get my old site back up.
Then I can try to figure out what the 3rd party apps are and see if I can figure out how to turn them off.
The other thing I can try is to update the "Test" forum I created in another folder on the site and see if that works.
So somehow we will get this back up.
Thank you all for your help with this old decreed hacker.
    Jeff

For now, we'll keep it so administrators must approve until we get a little more comfortable with the features. We wouldn't want large parts of an established community destroyed by content being de-attributed or removed without a final admin check.

You can choose to delete, or anonymise the posts (the IP addresses are removed, and the content presented as if it was from a Guest). When a member requests to be forgotten, it will anonymise their content.
Cleaning embedded quoted content is something we're working on for a future version.

    Not true.
We do add a line at the end of every blog explaining which platform the feature is for.
We have products and packages for every budget.
You don't have to, we have the classic self hosted version.
Our "cloud" platform isn't just cloud storage. It's a bespoke platform that happens to use cloud micro services. Cloud storage != Invision Community platform.
It's not, we've just committed to self-hosted for Invision Community 5, now in heavy development.

This makes me sad.  I remember visiting the Marketplace to see the new and exciting offerings.  Now those are rare.
I use several mods to make my site what I want.  Regardless of the "community" direction IPS is taking for its high-paying corporate customers, I still use the software almost exclusively as a forum.

Suspicious Activity Alert Publicly accessible Google API key for Google Cloud Platform project PLT Login (id: plt-login) Dear Customer,
We have detected a publicly accessible Google API key associated with the following Google Cloud Platform project:
Project PLT Login (id: plt-login) with API key AIzaSyCgZQExEPcYFIUzqph8Ah_9LGNVv4mD1o0
The key was found at the following URL: https://www.pathlabtalk.com/forum/index.php?/topic/4398-cloudy-ffp/
We believe that you or your organization may have inadvertently published the affected API key in public sources or on public websites (for example, credentials mistakenly uploaded to a service such as GitHub.)
Please note that as the project/account owner, you are responsible for securing your keys. Therefore, we recommend that you take the following steps to remedy this situation:
If this key is intended to be public (or if a publicly accessible key isn’t preventable): Log in to the Google Cloud Console and review the API and billing activity on your account, ensuring the usage is in line with what you expected. Add API key restrictions to your API key, if applicable. If this key was NOT meant to be public: Regenerate the compromised API key: Search for Credentials in the cloud console platform, Edit the leaked key, and use the Regenerate Key button to rotate the key. For more details, review the instructions on handling compromised GCP credentials. Take immediate steps to ensure that your API key(s) are not embedded in public source code systems, stored in download directories, or unintentionally shared in other ways. Add API key restrictions to your API key, if applicable. The security of your Google Cloud Platform account(s) is important to us.
GO TO MY CONSOLE Sincerely, Google Cloud Platform Trust & Safety

As others mention, either Google has sent these warnings by mistake, or they're just asking you to check your configuration. There must be a public API key that is passed to the JavaScript that displays the map. Providing that you're following our instructions of having two keys, and restrictions on the public key you will be following Googles best practices that were linked above.

I know the pricing page lists what you get with cloud.  IPS will create topics like above and discuss new options, but often does not tell you which clients get what.  Self-hosted seem to be getting less and less.

I appreciate all the feedback you are sending through. It gives me an idea of what people want to read about so I can do my best to provide the information you want to know.
Without having the bug fixing knowledge that the rest of the team possess, it goes without saying that some bugs are just more complex than others. And I know it's another obvious point to be making, but some of the features we have released recently have been in development for many months too. It is a combined effort of different departments in our Team to bring these into fruition. We try and balance things with bug fixes and new features, and there will be times where one becomes slightly more important than the other.
At the end of the day, we are not here to make excuses or side-step through bugs that are reported and make it into our scope. We do treat bugs based on priority over general quality of life. If there is something we can improve on where our community provide constructive ways to rectify something, it doesn't fall on deaf ears. I believe my weekly topics provide a consistent level of bug fixes occurring weekly via the Changelog; some bug fixes more recent than others.
On a side note, let's chill and be a bit more patient with each other. We don't all share the same opinion and that's completely okay.
I'm sorry if you have been misled. I did make it clear that I would have more details soon. My intention here was purely a teaser to mention the feature, not to give the nitty gritty about it.
Since joining the Team and reading through Invision Community topics, blog posts, etc, I haven't stumbled upon a feature that wasn't specified to be Cloud only, self-hosted only, or both. I don't see a benefit in keeping things quiet... If we are complacent from time to time, then let us know! We're human too, and we can fix it to make things crystal clear. 🙂
