For 2 of 3 of mine, this seems cheaper if I keep my license up.

What happens if funds are low and I let it lapse for a few months?  I do this sometimes.  Do I start paying again at that time?

For instance, the next post link was really important to me.  I only view my site using the undread stream, then click through the unread title at the bottom.  I like to watch the Tour de France this time of the year.  I am usually behind a few days and don't want previous stages spoiled.  It was nice to see the post's title before clicking on it.  I just don't visit one of my sites for weeks because there are often spoilers.  That's my use case, I pleaded it when that feature was removed.

+10, I've seen so many people say, "... back in post #xx, so and so said...".  I get all the points IPS has said, some posts may be hidden, and admins see posts others can't...  I think most people can handle seeing posts numbered 1, 2, 3, 5.

Wow, this is really strange.

I clicked the link, and it opened a Gmail.  

I didn't hit send, but I copied the link and pasted it into Edge.

I can see the colon in Gmail, but when I paste it, it gets stripped.

I tried again sending it to myself, and it worked fine.

I tried each of these a few times, and each time it happened as I described.

Anyhow, it seems to be working.

I activated this block, and I just noticed the link is incorrect.

The link in the email is https//www.pathlabtalk.com/forum/?&_rid=1 instead of https://www.pathlabtalk.com/forum/?&_rid=1.

How can I correct this?

Could I ask that you please reconsider your license policies for classic customers?

On Saturday, the last day of my license, I installed updates on three sites.  I had hoped not to have to renew for a few months as these are hobby sites that I pay for.

Well, it seems later that day, a patch was released for the cookie issue.  One of my sites had issues.  Some of these folks are computer challenged and will likely not remember their passwords and may not visit again.

I just paid $360 to update my licenses to apply a patch I did not have access to.

Would you please consider allowing customers to apply patches, even if they do not have active licenses.

I moved over 40GB of files to AWS.  It seems to have gone well.

I noticed a few avatars didn't make it.  Those were easy to search as there aren't many members on that site.

Is there an easy way to search from broken links?

Hmm, the directions said to use us-east-2, which failed.

I just tried  s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com, that failed too.

Well, I set the endpoint back to the default of s3.amazonaws.com.

It worked.

I have files on Amazon now.

I am running out of space on my server, and it's silly expensive to keep updating to a newer server.

I have tried following the instructions here, but some of the steps seem a bit outdated.

Is setting up S2 for storage still an option?  I feel like I've done all the steps correctly, but get this error when trying to save.

There appears to be a problem with your Amazon (squarewheelsfiles) file storage settings which can cause problems with uploads.
After attempting to upload a file to the directory, the URL to the file is returning a HTTP error. Update your settings and then check and see if the problem has been resolved
