The default IPS theme was maintained, but the other themes had the code deleted.

Is that expected?

Thanks, there are about 12k members in the database, I want to update select members from group x to group y, not all members of group x.

I want to move a couple thousand users to a new member group.

I understand IPS does not advocate editing things directly in the database, but it would save me many hours of editing individual records in the ACP.

Can I edit member_group_id directly?

Thank you, @opentype and @Daniel F.  This was the issue, although I am not sure I solved the problem.

I initially followed the instructions in the ACP:

API restrictions

Choose Restrict key and..

I edited the keys to make them unrestricted and the maps showed immediately.

I just noticed there are a couple of display errors, too (you think I would have seen these before ).

You can see an embedded Google map here.  I posted a pic as this is a private site.

I am trying to type in a location for an event and as soon as I do, I get this error.

I'm not sure if this is tied to Google Maps, but I am able to embed a Google Maps, so that is set up correctly.

I have looked around and tried to disable anything related to guests.  Permissions seem to be in many locations.

The one that seems to be lingering is https://www.MySite.com/discover/.

Hi,

On one of my site, we want it to be 100% private.  I visited the site on my phone, not logged in, and there is a link for Unread at the bottom.  When I click that, it goes to All Activity and shows recent member activity.  The same happens on my desktop, using the All Activity link that still displays.

How do I make the site 100% private?

Is it possible to get a download of a file?

I know IPS took the stance that apps could only be installed / updated through the Marketplace and not downloaded.

I have an app from a developer who has not been around since May 2023.  He seems to have abandoned his site, so there is no easy way to get the app updated.

Would IPS be willing to provide downloads of apps we purchased in cases like this so we can hire another developer to update them?

Excellent, thank you.  It would likely only be one, maybe three months.

My renewal is due in about a month.

What are my options for delaying?  My sites are hobby sites and make nearly nothing, so I pay out of pocket for them.  I have three sites, so six hundred dollars is a bit much to swallow.

I know I don't get updates, support, or spam service if I delay.

Let's say I'm due to pay 199 on Feb 19, and I delay until May 1.  Do I still pay 199 on May 1?

In the options for the database, go to Options -> Field Options -> Sort. A new entry under the Sort dropdown for Order should now be present. Select ascending order for higher numbers to be visible later.

I also recommend separating order by at least 100. So for instance, the first record should be 0, the second should be 100, the third should be 200, and so forth. This way if you find out that you want to put the second item after the third, you can change its order to 250. This avoids needing to reorder the entire record set.

There is no built-in drag and drop sorting option unfortunately, but you could suggest that.

Drag and drop would be perfect. I'll post that in the suggestions.

I have looked around for Sort, where is that?  I looked at the default fields, and created a new field and do not see sort.

I have a database that has a few categories.

How do I organize the records in each category?  It seems to be a first-entered, first-displayed setup.

It could work with a Pages database, where certain members/user-groups get the permissions to add/edit records. But that would require a custom database with a custom template.
