It was indeed working fine until Facebook deprecated literally everything public accessible on oct 24 https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api/changelog/version8.0#social-plugins and unfortunlaty their new implementation requires following steps, so we couldn't implement it just out of the box: Requirements a Facebook Developer account, which you can create at developers.facebook.com a registered Facebook app the oEmbed Product added to the app an Access Token The Facebook app must be in Live Mode

rebraf Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 I have a plugin currently being tested that reintroduces Facebook and Instagram oembed support. crmarks Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 (edited) Many thanks to @rebraf for restoring this functionality, great work! I commissioned this plugin to be shared on the marketplace and supported by rebraf, to help fellow community admins get their content back on track. I can confirm this plugin works well, and also restores Instagram embed functionality to older posts with existing embeds that had broken. It will be available for download in the store very soon, it's worth the wait! Installation is easy, and it 'just works' after you enter your App credentials in the ACP. Husky_Jim Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 Hello all, Any instructions on how to use on an actual real-life scenario? How can we use the plugin ie to get post feeds on a block?

omgenghis Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 I didn't see a support topic yet (which I will need.) 🙂 Questions like - do I have to create an app for Instagram and one for Facebook and add the oembed product to both? Or can I just create one app? I don't have any experience with creating and using apps through Facebook, so I'm at a bit of a loss.
rebraf Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 You can create a single Facebook developer app for both - there is no explicit requirement to create separate apps on Facebook's end. Support topic: crmarks 1

PoC2 Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 (edited) If it takes two months every time it changes I can only guess Invision won't bother in the future. I've had to learn not to rely on it. We adapt. [Edit: Sounds like a Facebook app. is now needed to make it to work. Can't blame Invision for that with FB adding the extra hurdles. Again we've learnt not to rely on such conveniences. It often comes back to bite you in the years that follow.] Edited December 23, 2020 by PoC2 crmarks 1

You can however restore the embed functionality with this inexpensive plugin, which updates Facebook and Instagram embeds to use the new Facebook App authentication system. You have to jump through a few hoops, and spend $10, but it's worth the trouble. Once configured with your Facebook App credentials, it's pretty much a 'set it and forget it' plugin. @rebraf will help ensure future compatibility.

When using facebook logins you had to have a facebook developer account and create a facebook app so that's nothing new, not sure why IPS can no longer support oEmbed, Once again a developer has stepped in and restored the feature back so quickly, not knocking the developer of the plugin. They all have my respect and thanks for restoring dropped features or improving the IPS software. Thank you all At this particular time i have to stop buying plugins as they all total up per year and start to make the software expensive. Yamamura and dragonfly411 2

I'd be really surprised if they don't address this in a future update.

You can also add Media option to your ckeditor : https://ckeditor.com/cke4/addon/embed It's permit to add some embed features but it's doesn't work by parsing a link directly to the editor.
