Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
stoo2000 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Hi, I just upgraded and have no markers. I ran the recache and got this error. Warning: file_put_contents(/usr/www/virtual/xxxxxxxx/www.websitename.co.uk/forums/cache/mmap/members-1.json) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/www/virtual/xxxxxxxx/www.websitename.co.uk/forums/admin/applications_addon/other/membermap/sources/classes/mapLib.php on line 215 Goto System Scheduler > Member Map > Run 'Member Marker Cache' Task Dumb question, but where the heck do I enter the Bing API key? ACP > System Settings > Member Map > General Configuration
Unlucky Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Hi, Running that task is what caused the error last time, but I tried again and this time it said it ran successfully However still no member markers on the map
stoo2000 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Hi, Running that task is what caused the error last time, but I tried again and this time it said it ran successfully However still no member markers on the map You said that you ran a recache that generated the error, not the scheduled task. The task will check that the required folder structure is in place for the cache files. (That's also changed in the next version)
Unlucky Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Hi, Sorry yes you are correct but after running it I still do not have any member markers showing
stoo2000 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Hi, Sorry yes you are correct but after running it I still do not have any member markers showing PM me your URL, I'd like to take a look. The next version will have a 'dashboard' plugin that tells you about 'common problems' if they occur.
Unlucky Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 PM me your URL, I'd like to take a look. The next version will have a 'dashboard' plugin that tells you about 'common problems' if they occur. Thanks and sent
markymids Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 You need to revert any changes you've made to the MemberMap templates in your custom skin. I haven't made any changes... if I even had, how would I do that?
stoo2000 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 I haven't made any changes... if I even had, how would I do that? Hi Mark, Go into Look & Feel > Your Custom Skin > skin_membermap > Click into each template and click 'Revert' if it isn't greyed out.
markymids Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Hi Mark, Go into Look & Feel > Your Custom Skin > skin_membermap > Click into each template and click 'Revert' if it isn't greyed out. Yeah revert is grayed out on all 4 membermap templates :(
stoo2000 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Yeah revert is grayed out on all 4 membermap templates  PM your URL over to me please.
stoo2000 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Next version has a dashboard plugin: This dashboard plugin will try to fix missing folder/permissions, but will let you know if there's still a problem. Hopefully this will address the most common questions that have been asked about 2.x Beta xtech, Soniceffect, fadedturbulence and 1 other 4
stoo2000 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 When will the new version be out? Fairly soon, I want to push out another 'beta' release when I've finished the interface for adding member markers. BN_IT_Support, Lab Rats Rule and Soniceffect 3
VR6Pete Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Ok Great, Thanks! :) Are you interested in a little coding job to import my members so they are added to the map?
stoo2000 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Ok Great, Thanks! Are you interested in a little coding job to import my members so they are added to the map? Yeah, Send me a PM, things like that may incur charges from Bing, depending on the amount you want to do. VR6Pete 1
VR6Pete Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Yeah, Send me a PM, things like that may incur charges from Bing, depending on the amount you want to do. Hi yes no worries, I don't mind incurring charges from bing, the benefits this will bring my community outweighs any costs involvement. I'll PM you when I get chance later :)
Rybiszcze Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Fairly soon, I want to push out another 'beta' release when I've finished the interface for adding member markers. Does it mean that this "second beta" will be useful for all those who want to install a "clean" version of Member Map?
stoo2000 Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Does it mean that this "second beta" will be useful for all those who want to install a "clean" version of Member Map? To an extent yes, member markers will be fully functional, but customer markers will not.
SMen Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Noticed an issue on the Main Member Map screen. When you click a marker and then the member name a "/" is missing from the URL. (i.e.../index.phpuser/15157-asd123asd/ instead of /index.php/user/15157-asd123asd/ )
stoo2000 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Development of Beta 2 has just wrapped up, release to occur soon! Pintac 1
stoo2000 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Just to let you know (if you're not following the main file - I would suggest you do that!) Member Map 2 Beta 2 is now available. Pintac, xtech and Soniceffect 3
Draffi Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Fine, i will give this a try... Sorry, noob here: How to upgrade?
stoo2000 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Fine, i will give this a try... Sorry, noob here: How to upgrade? The same way as installing pretty much, upload the new files, overwriting the old ones. Visit ACP.
Soniceffect Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Just to let you know (if you're not following the main file - I would suggest you do that!) Member Map 2 Beta 2 is now available. Cheers for your hard work Stuart
