AlexWebsites
I don't recall but if a user visits their notification settings and un-checks to Send me news and information, the check mark for the newsletter is still on. Do they receive the newsletter still with the main setting off? It doesn't shut off the newsletter toggle. I still think having this in two different areas is misleading to users. Maybe a link under the notifications section to manage newsletters would be helpful. some don't find it right away. I find that I can shut off the IPS setting in ACP but can't under the member page do this with the newsletter(s), so I have to login as the user and visit their settings when there is a request. It's too many steps as an admin. Would be nice to have a setting under member view in ACP alongside and within the notifications settings. And no, they don't receive the newsletter if that main setting is off. Edited May 26, 2019 by HeadStand

Joel R
Hi @HeadStand Two issues: 1. The *|weblink|* tag for past newsletters does not work for club newsletters (it's never worked). The unsubscribe tag does work. 2. No club newsletters were generated after May 11 2019, which according to my notes corresponded to the exact day I upgraded to Newsletter v2.1.2. It does unsubscribe and gives me the unsubscribe page. When I tried to use the unsubscribe link on the user's account when viewing the newsletter by email, I get an error. It takes me to the URL mycommunity.com/newsletters/unsubscribe/&key=*%7Cunsubscribe_key%7C*. The error is the standard "The page you requested does not exist. Error code: 1S160/2" So yes, I can confirm your error. 6 minutes ago, Joel R said: 1. The *|weblink|* tag for past newsletters does not work for club newsletters (it's never worked). Joel R
Just now, HeadStand said: This one strikes me as odd. What content type(s) do you have set up in the club newsletters? It has 3 content types: forum topics, gallery albums, and download files. So, I just did some poking around: I just sent a test distribution to a test email, and it works with the latest content (eg. yesterday's content) I just clicked on Publish newsletter and the newsletter updated on the site to yesterday's content instead of May 11, but ... shouldn't it already be published?? Did v2.1.2 automatically un-publish the newsletter? Pinging @Christforums to see if that fixes it for him.

If I'm right, it's probably related to the publish being done through a cron job. Give me a few here, I'll take a look.

Changes include: Web link and unsubscribe URLs did not always display properly in the web version. Fixed. Newsletters with calendar events did not distribute properly when being published through a cron job. Fixed. Incorrect outgoing email method was being used for CIC. Fixed. AlexWebsites
Question, my one newsletter is scheduled for Sundays and I went and changed the time today to 4 hours earlier (on Sundays) and hit save. Its Tuesday and the newsletter immediately sent out. It does state the next one will go out Sunday but I was shocked that it sent out after I hit save, only to update the time on Sunday, Is this the way it is designed? How can I update the time, do it only on the day I have it scheduled?
Joel R
Hey @HeadStand Newsletter has not been issuing for a club newsletter. I updated to version 2.1.2 on May 27th, and that was also the last day the newsletter was sent out. Please advise.

Sorry, there is a problem The page you requested does not exist Error code: 1S160/2 @HeadStand Hi, this presents a real pain because an admin can't simply unsubscribe a member from site news letter in admincp. The admin has to login as the user and navigate to the members account settings and then under the "newsletter" menu option unsubscribe from the site newsletter distribution. That is in contrast of unsubscribing through the admincp>>members>>edit profile>>notifications>>unsubscribe is not the same newsletter so unsubscribing from it does not unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution. Hope this is worked out! William Edited July 6, 2019 by Christforums

AlexWebsites
@HeadStand I just went through a lot of troubleshooting because my registration url - mysite.com/register/ was coming up a page not found. I disabled all plugins and apps and one by one re-enabled. Got it to work again but when I re-enable your newsletter app the issue happens again. Do you have any hooks to registration in your app causing this conflict?

Check the "Back Issues" for your newsletter and see if there is anything that is still open; if so, you can just close it from that screen. I will have an update released soon with a few fixes, I'm just not ready yet. One of those fixes will be to kill distribution automatically after X days, so that this issue can be avoided. 7 hours ago, AlexWebsites said: Further testing it seems to not happen when I disable Babble Chat by @CodingJungle.
