Links Directory

Got all the add ons/plugins matched. This time it correctly identified it was an update, not a new install. However I got a new error? There was an error installing the resource, please submit a support ticket for further assistance.

Is that your error or IPS error?

Edit: Never mind I'm getting it on multiple apps, I'll put a IPS ticket in.

Getting a little further but still having issues.  The previous error was for a write file permissions so I reset the API dir to 777 from 666. Now Im getting the following error on install:

.../applications/links/api/affiliates.php", setting file permissions failed

Does the entire application/links dir need to set to 777 to install the update?

After the install what should the file permissions be set to?

I just installed the Links Directory app and when I tried to add my first link to https://www.accuweather.com it tells me the link is invalid. I then tried to add a link to a comment in the Invision forums, and it give me a "Status 403: invalid URL"  . I've attached screenshots below. So I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it still does the same exact thing. I'm running the latest version of Invision as well.

Links Directory checks HTTP status of the URL submitted.

I'm able to enter any IPS url that a guest can view. The IPS link you tried is viewable by a guest? If not, will end up in the error: no permission.

Tried the https://www.accuweather.com and couldn't too. It shows error in two pages that checks http status that I just tested:

It can be a temporary issue or a redirect issue in their end.

I see the AccuWeather error now.

The Invision forum link I was trying to add isn't viewable by guests (https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/454968-search-within-category/?tab=comments#comment-2806174), most of the links I was trying to sort are this way. This database of links is just for myself, so I'm not worried about the links being viewable to guests. Is there some way I can add these links?

First off, we believe this app would be very useful for our Tribal community and so we purchased this app. Only to find out that it can only be installed for 4.5. Our Tribal community is currently running in 4.4.10 as we are reluctant to upgrade to 4.5.x for reason of our current plugins might night work with 4.5.x. Eventually we will be upgrading to 4.5.x as soon as the plugins we currently have are 4.5.x ready.

In this regard, is there by chance a previous version of Links Directory available that we can install on our 4.4.10 community?
