Kurt De Pauw Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Yes thank you .... deleting a single picture would be highly appreciated
EmpireKicking Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 still being looking at. Will it be implemented into the next update
sudo Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 This is a pretty important permission, any kind of rough eta would be nice.
Rachel Crane Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Is there ever going to be looked into/fixed? I was just about to report this as a bug.
sudo Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Please please could this be fixed for 4.1.9 at least for Gallery.
chilihead Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 The tag says Planned at least. Not sure if you saw, but yes soon would be good too.
Mopar1973Man Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 I tend to agree I've got everything shut down delete wise for the same reason as posted previously. I really don't need a upset member going through and wiping out all his/her post, threads, etc. Bad enough I had one the produced several articles and still delete all the YouTubes making the articles worthless being most was on the video and little on the page. So I learned from an experience. So yes... I would love to see better control of information system wide.
Kit_L Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 This is so sensible, simple, and logical. Please implement a simple set of permissions along these lines; it would make my job a lot easier.
Management Lindy Posted June 26, 2016 Management Posted June 26, 2016 Granular permissions are on the roadmap, hence 'planned.' No ETA.
gabs007 Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Can someone tell me how to know when this feature will be released ? Not when, but how to know ... Where do I have to subscribe ? As side note to highlight the importance of this feature to IPS Staff. Last week I upgraded to IPS4.1.13. Today I have received the complaints of a customer because she has copyrighted material in the gallery that can not delete. She knows it's an infringement of the "personal data protection act" in my country and has threatened me to report it to the authorities. Not that I'm worried, but the more you deal with sensitive data, the more important allowing to delete pictures is.
bassangler Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 It appears this request has fallen on deaf ears. My members are wondering why they cannot delete their own pictures from the Gallery.

Arthmoor Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Poking this one again because we've been trying to figure out why this level of permission is gone in 4.x when it was present in 3.x. Please remember to include not just the gallery, but the downloads module too! I have users complaining they can't remove pictures OR files they've uploaded, and we don't want them able to delete posts and topics. So this global setting is entirely useless right now. App level controls should have been a release day feature. There was never any reason to remove it.

Arthmoor Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Good Would it be a bother to ask if there's a time frame on when that's coming?
