sobrenome Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 The only thing that really worries me is the URL redirection. All URLs are going to change in IPS 4.I hope the RC URL redirection system works fine to redirect old Pages and Forums URLs to the new ones with the correct message to the search engines. Otherwise, it will be a ranking disaster.
Tripp★ Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 @Matt, @Charles and everyone at IPS; congratulations.
simonle Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Has anyone upgraded their live site yet? Care to show the rest of us?

sobrenome Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Is there an oficial tutorial explaining step by step how to upgrade 3.4.7 to 4.0 RC1?

Vikestart Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Is there an oficial tutorial explaining step by step how to upgrade 3.4.7 to 4.0 RC1? Same as with the previous versions https://www.invisionpower.com/support/guides/_/install-and-getting-started/upgrading-r19 Download the suite. Upload the files to the forum directory. Go to /admin/upgrade/ and just let the upgrade wizard take you through the rest.
TheSonic Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Great release... I All my sites upgraded well to the betas, except one ... So i was happy to upgrade that one and request support from the client area to run all sites on 4.0... Thats what i thought... But... well.... That one upgraded well to RC1 itself, too
bigPaws Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Can still edit/post blank posts on RC? See above. Also no rich editor on mobile when editing a post.
Feneroin Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I have upgraded my forum also, installed Beta4->5->6 then 8 and now RC1DeliDahi.com
bigPaws Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Just edit, press spacebar and then save.surprised this wasn't fixed
Kirill N Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Am I the only one who can't access the bug tracker right now?
Vikestart Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Am I the only one who can't access the bug tracker right now?Same issue here.
RevengeFNF Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Just upgraded a backup of my board. 1.5 Million posts. It took almost 3 hours. Not bad.
AndyF Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Am I the only one who can't access the bug tracker right now? I saw some debug code while replying to a topic a few minutes ago, I guess that might be something to do with it, a dev may be doing some live work / debugging here.
Christophe Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 What s the emoticon for /fistpump again?Can t wait
LuckyRiver Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Woot! Been waiting for that long time! Kudos to IPS team to make this happen!
whitetigergrowl Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Can't wait for the converter to be upgraded/updated. Whenever that'll be.
RevengeFNF Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Can't wait for the converter to be upgradedWhy? Even when the converter is upgraded, i would prefer to convert first to 3.4.7, and then to 4.0.This is because the converter for 3.4.7 is almost 100% stable. Its normal the first's versions of the converter to get some bugs.
