Hi, atm I use memcache + opcache (I've this with my hosting and I've enabled)... but in my hosting I've also opcache, xcache and varnish. atm all is ok for me, my question is: can I enable and use varnish with memcache and opcache (only memcache from ipb pannel..) or is best to remain as is? thanks in advance, S.N.

Hi, in IPB3 we used a couple queries to post a thread from an external application. In IPB4 this isn't working the same way and it causes infinite redirect errors. I've tried to do a test conversion from Xenforo but I've noticed that all my quotes and user tags arnt converted they just appear as plane bb code. All my background tasks haven't completed yet though. wI'll they start showing properly once the background tasks have completed or are they just not changed over as part of the conversation process.

Hey guys, i hope this is the right category I´m steven and i´m running a forum about smartphones etc. Pretty big with 71.000 Members and many topics. I now want to integrate this currently standalone forum in a wordpress pricecheck website. So i dont want to lose my google search ranking and break all the links when i move it to /forum or forum.domain.com is there anyway to bypass this ? btw i will use the SSO plugin to login from wordpress. which one is the best ? cheers, and thanks to you all.

I did a "test" upgrade of our website from version 3.4.8 (patched) to 4.1.10. The database storage requirement went from ~3GB to ~18GB, resulting in our server running out of space and trashing the MAIN site's database (thankfully I'd kept the main site on 3.4.8 and haven't rushed to upgrade), requiring around 4 hours site downtime and work which involved restoring a previous backup, then copying some .frm .MYI and .MYD files directly from the restore's storage location to the main database's location, then running a repair. So, I got myself the demo version that contains all the applications... and I saw the guide on making the pages appear in my root... but I noticed an issue. I created a custom page using the app... made it my default page so that it appears as my root... but when I was fooling around and created a release notes section like the one in the guide... the page doesn't load properly. Mainly because of this: The domain is www.example.com... my forums is in www.example.com/forums. Hi, so, 8-) Huston we have a problem 8-) we have a stand alone server with debian 8.4, mysql 5.5.47-0+deb8u1, and php 5.6.19-0+deb8u1, also we have a ipboard 4.1.10, and we have a problem.. everyhing is sooo sloooowwww we have a theme with 150 or so pages and if i add some new message it add in about 20 sec. its too slow.. cant find why.. some one say use php 7.0 its twice faster then your 5.5.47. Hi... I want share my robots.txt for ipb4. I've maked it with a googlequery "site:mysite.xx" and view all pages for see what is ok to maintain and what is best to remove. atm this is my result: https://laltroweb.it/robots.txt admin and modcp isn't present in google (i think already excluded with metatag from ipb... so, is best to not insert in robots). if someone (user or staff) want improve.... regards

Wondering why IPS4 doesnt come with robot.txt? In my site I am still having old one and I think it need an update to manage certain stuff that we really dont want to get crawl like empty profile pages, admin area and few testing pages. So basically I moved my forums from a subdomain to a sub folder under the main url (forums.example.com --> example.com/forums). When I did that, I moved everything properly (I believe), changed the URLs, made sure everything was HTTPS and not HTTP since the main domain has SSL. I'm needed help on setting up an Cron job, I know how Cron works and how to add it but I seem that I can't get the code right and it's not doing what I wanted it to do. I explain what I am after. -I want to set up an cron job so that every 24 hours (a day) MYSQL gets backed up into my folder on the server. -I want the cron to be setup so that it keeps the backups for 7 days before it gets removed, so should be around 7 MYSQL backup files in the backup folder. Hi I'm trying to rebuild our environment, following the death of a dearly beloved server, on CentOS 7. We used to use windows, we've actually got a centos7 cloud server running on softlayer at the moment, no problem. But the new centos install I've created on our replacement physical server refuses to play ball. We're using nginx 1.9 with php-fpm 5.6 and mariadb 10.1 (that's the same as the cloud environment we're using) php worker processes are running as user nginx. Hi, due to the fact that we can't have mod_deflate on our server (no, we don't want to change the provider) we activated zlib.compression in our php.ini. zlib.output_compression = On; Compression level is set to -1. So far so good. It's working, but .... ... only with our Wordpress installation which is on the same domain but just using a different directory. All the files and all the output from ipb isn't being compressed. What can be the problem? Thanks in advance for any help.
