I was curious if 2.2.1 was still planned for this week to patch the dozen or so minor bugs reported when 2.2 was deployed? :)

I have a lifetime IPB license account, but since the new release of version 2.2 IPB, I couldn't log on to my client anymore. And I found out that my account is no longer accesible. I have tried sending email to sales@invisionpower.com since last week but till now there isn't any reply. Can any staff help me out? As I want to download the lastest version of IPB and install on my site. My account email address leotan72@gmail.com and domain name is sghamsters.com Do reply via here or pm as I lost password to my gmail email account. Thank you.

Report Priacy - Tracker unavailable?

Hey, Where do we go to report piracy links? The old link gives a 404 Not Found and I can not find a new link for it on your website. I assume sending an email to piracy@invisionpower.com is acceptable? Thanks.

This probably goes without saying needs a overhaul, i'd like to see a feature for admin at least to be able to pm certain member groups or the entire forum. And members to be able to pm all their friends at once.

Suggestion: feature requests
by Guest grumps- 2 replies

Based on feedback I have received, as well as my opinion, I'd like to offer the following points: 1. Image attachments in posts: the new black box/borders around the image attachment thumbs are painfully out of place, and stick out like a bad, sore thumb. The color should really be closer related to the blue shades compared to the bold black. This would lend itself to the default skin's overall continuity and offer better presentation. 2. In keeping with the above information, is there really any need, or use, for people to know just how much the image was reduced? This just reeks of filler text to me. The only text needed, in my view, is "click to enlarge". 3. Image …

Member validation email - suggestion
by Guest Dll- 0 replies
- 1.1k views
Hi, I did mention this a little while back, but it didn't make it into 2.1. But I really hope it can be sorted for future releases - particularly in these days of spambots and whatever else! When using admin validation, you can get a mail sent by the system when someone joins, but it can't let you know when someone has validated their account. So if they don't do it straight away it's a lottery as to when you next login and admin validate them. Anyway of getting it to optionally send a mail when they validate as well?

IPB: Search Members group order

Site > Member list interface. If not it would be very useful to have it display in alphabetic order or at least have an option.

All user groups should be able to have incrementing pips.
by Guest Quillz- 5 replies
- 1.8k views
vBulletin has had this feature for years, and I'm surprised that it was never added into IP.Board. The default "member" user group can have pips that increase in number after reaching x amount of posts. However, a non default "member" user group, like a staff group, cannot. Why is this? On my board, I have blue colored pips for members, and I have a set of red pips that I want to use for staff groups. I think that in future versions of IP.Board, this should be a stock feature.

2.2.0 Feedback From My Community
by Guest Arts&Faith- 16 replies
- 4.5k views
OK, I just had my site upgraded from 2.1.6 to 2.2.0 by IPS, who hosts my site. Overall my users' feedback is positive, but here's a few things they have noticed: The TRUNCATION of user names!! For example, "The Invisible Man" is now "The Invisible...". This is just "LAME" and unacceptable (my users' words, which I agree with). Can this be adjusted? Is it based on the width of the first column or is a specific threshhold that could be added to the ACP?From me -- often when posting, typically using "Fast Reply" I get an "authorization mismatch" failure. I don't get failures using a full reply.Initially, a lot of Javascript errors were reported, especially by those using Sa…

Active Users List
by Guest hoonz- 7 replies
- 2.2k views
I'm having a strange issue with the Active Users List... I'm getting an insane amount of guests viewing the boards. So, I clicked on the user list to pull up the details... it's the same ip address that's being listed over and over again as a guest. I resolved the IP and it seems to be a googlebot IP. Any ideas why it is counting the same IP over and over again as multiple guests? I'm getting figures in the 100's. Thanks in advance.

Suggestion
by Guest tomek__w- 9 replies

I think the current format of topics in the forums is pretty good but one thing I would like to see is the date the topic was started under the topic starters name. No doubt there is a mod for this somewhere but it would be nice to have it as standard. Yes, No, Maybe?

Invisible post - visual indication
by Guest .KX- 0 replies
- 1.1k views
I just noticed this on my board, it's a really neat feature. On the topic-listing, if a topic contains (an) invisible post(s) then the replies area is marked in red. This is great. ;) It's the little things like this that really help. :P

[Suggestion] Lightbox for IMG attachment
by Guest JohnJH- 3 replies
- 1.5k views
Might IPB consider adding an option that allows for Lightbox to view attached images instead of the current pop up window? I used this as a hack on the previous version however it still clashed with existing Ajax edit codes on the same page. 2.2 is great, well done.

Adminstrator Control Panel Restrictions
by Guest D.San- 18 replies
- 4.9k views
I really like how I can modify permissions for Adminstrators. What they can do and cannot do in my ACP. That is a really nice feature! My only real complaint about it is this. During my testing, I created a Super Moderator and wanted the said account to have access to the ACP for topic moderation, log viewing, basically everything a true Moderator should be able to view. After configuring the restrictions on the account, I logged into it to view it. Sure enough the account can only browse and modify the sections I allowed it to. However it was able to 'see' everything I didn't want it to. So my feature request is this. When I limit what a user can see in the ACP, I wan…

Turn Off Forums When Upgrading

Is it a good idea to turn off the forums when upgrading? If it is or is not, I think it would be beneficial to add this to the upgrade instructions. Anyone else?

Client Area - Lost Password
by Guest Mark Goldstein- 6 replies

Hi, Not sure if this is the correct forum... ...but I've forgotten the password for my client area, and clicking the Lost Password? button doesn't seem to work (I've tried it a couple of times over the last few days, and nothing has arrived in my inbox). Any ideas, or do I have to make an expensive phone-call to IPS from the UK?

Bypass EULA
by Guest ZeRoRaVeN- 4 replies
- 2.5k views
I know that legally IPB is protected by the legal agreement since the addition of the EULA to the installer is really just a heads up and getting past it won't let you get past the legal restrictions but... You used javascript to check whether or not it is checked. No non-javascript checks are made. Simply turn off javascript and you're past it without checking I agree. >_> Just a small quirk really.

Copyright Removal Question
by Guest D.San- 8 replies
- 5.7k views
So... I am probably going to purchase this software soon. It is the BEST software I've seen and so far is suited to my needs very well. I love the RSS Importer. That feature is sexy. My question is this. Can I remove "Powered by Invision Power Board) from the TITLE bar? I know without purchasing copyright removal, I need to leave it at the bottom of the pages. How about in the title bar? Can I safely remove that? Or does that also require the purchase of the copyright removal? Part in question italics. Example: MyForumName (Powered by Invision Power Board) - Mozilla Firefox

Demo Accounts
by Guest D.San- 3 replies
- 2.3k views
Before the final release of this software, I contacted IPS in order to demo the system. It was offline due to upgrades & such. Well now it is back online but I am unable to get an account on it. I try at the top of each hour with absolutely no luck. I have been since the demo system came back online. Another problem I am going to have is the alloted time I am going to be allowed to use it. Six hours simply is not enough time. The main problem is that myself and three other people (my staff) want a chance to use it as well. This way we can discuss it during the demo. I will require at least 72hours of demo before a decision can be made. What can I do?

Suggestion for Topic Views
by Guest C_ind- 2 replies
- 1.6k views
I think the Topic Views figures that's produced in the Statistic Center, on the admin tab in the ACP, are somewhat misleading. Perhaps it's obvious for everyone else, but I thought that topic views for a specified date range would show you how often your topic pages had been visited in that period. Not so. At our forum I couldn't understand why the topic views for last week, scored so badly compared to previous weeks. But according to SQL code in the "statistics_show_views" function in mysql_admin_queries.php, what's really showed is how many topic views there have been for topics submitted within the specified date range. That's something completely else, and, I expect,…
