I have a trash can set up, and unfortunately it still treats the trash as if it were a regular forum. For example, if I click on a persons mini profile card, and then click topics that they have started, the list is filled with trash can deleted posts which register as new topics. It's therefore difficult to get an accurate list of new topics. Surely it would make sense for forums designated as trash cans to not show up in new topics hook, etc. I posted this in the tracker but was told to post here instead. Also, I'm fully aware I can prune the trash whenever I want, but that's not exactly an ideal solution. :)

Hello management, I've report for you. The owners of Systemglob.co.il use IP.Board 2.3.6 + 3.0.0 WITHOUT LICENSE. I've reported because this site constitutes a nuisance to the Israeli forums and support and I think this site has to be deleted. Good night.

I was thinking perhaps you guys can make a board like IFSZ does (Invision Free Skin Zone), and they have a board full of skins. Like Graphic Contests, and much more. Resources boards can be made for modifications, etc.

Hi, I really like the new design of the IPB 3, in the past I'm not an IPB fan, but my choice has fallen on vB for reasons of which now I don't want to discuss (The past is past), but now I was really impressed by this new form that has introduced IPB and I don't see comparison with the present and the new vB core... this make me a decision to switch ASAP to IPB 3 from my owned vB (but also to the policy that is taking vB) ... so anyway I think that you were too hurried to release this new and splendid version of IPB 3 because it seems yet in BETA STAGE and not a true Final release... users feedback and board admins (BIG AND SMALL BOARDS)they do understand. I think it's better to have it like before, one name per line. Also, change the message to use commas to separate: You may add up to 5 other recipients, separated with commas. And why remove the ability to hide other names in the CC field?

I wanted to commend the IPS staff for acting so quickly to upgrade my forum. I submitted my ticket relatively late this morning, and the upgrade was completed early in the evening. The only delay was on MY part, as I'd forgotten to add a bit of information. Both staff members were pleasant to work with. Larry even let me know in the ticket that the upgrade was being performed, and that was the reason for the errors that may be seen. I figured that it would take a day or two, at least, especially after forgetting to add in Admin information. Hello, It would be a nice option to show the week numbers in calendar. There are these small triangles which opens the selected week. This option could replace these triangles with a buttons with week number on it. Also, in a week view header could show the week number. Regards, Jouni

I notice View New Content layout had been changed as it was in 2.3 Excellent. It would be nice if you could add View Type switch, like you see in the Blog http://forums.invisionpower.com/blogs/ - you can change it to table or list view. I know bfarber promised this, maybe he forgot :huh:

sometimes I do not like to enter here, sometimes I do... what I really do not like about is the fact I cannot make a suggestion on client area... why? You can: - keep our suggestions from the tickets directly by your staff or - make an option there to suggest something. Topic Multi-moderation feature could has enhancement applied only for posts. For example, there is 'normal topic' which was turned into flame war. I want to select and move only flame posts not whole topic. This enhancement would be much more better than current solution (at least for me).

I've looked at every page in the new client area at least twice, some more. I cannot find any area to download version 3 or later. There is no search feature, either. Shouldn't this be something obvious rather than something hidden? Not very customer friendly.

Its not the problem with the upgrade itself...its the problem at what comes after... :unsure: I installed and upgraded to 3.0.1 today, and when it was complete I went back to the forum index but....It was messed up. All of the links text that had to deal with other modules/apps isn't appearing, and its not the minify javascript option either. bfarber and Brandon D- yeah I know, I'm a tad bit persistent, forgive me for that :thumbsup: Yeah, just wanted to let you all know what might (possibly just me though..) happen. Looking at the feed, there are two listings for IPB 3.0.0, each about 20 minutes apart. I'm only able to click on the earlier one (other gives me an error message). Looking through the rest of the feed, I see one for IPB 2.3.6 which is encoded and for use only on an IPS server. So I'm wondering, is the later copy of IPB3 the same (encoded for IPS servers)? If so, since it doesn't specify that, it can be a bit confusing and have someone wondering what the different versions are for. If not, then please enlighten me. Thank you.

I've been talking about this since the first day of IP3 previews in 2008. My hunch is now supported by feedback from my membership. View New Posts and Today's Active Posts. View New Content is a step down from View New Posts. Not sure what prompted it but it makes no sense. People want to follow their own threads through that feature. Was it that difficult to keep their own read posts in it? I'm trying to understand the logic for making that change. Both of the above also need reference to the original posters in threads. Without reverting back to those features it doesn't matter how much better the rest of the board is. They immediately detract from what should …

In the current poor design if you run a large forum, the users online is gonna go far down the left hand side of board stats, leaving a big gap of nothing on the right under board stats. I have no idea why this got changed but I've thought that about alot of things in 3.0. This is how it should be designed, let the users online go all the way across as they used to, it will work well for small and large forums. Or move board stats to the bottom under birthdays as it were.

Okay this would help solve some problems. Have a setting in the ACP to use with this. Basically, for the menu bar, if the number of installed apps exceeds a certain number, then the apps would be placed inside of a drop down menu. The drop down menu name would obviously be inside of the language files for compatibility. The number of apps to exceed would be in the system settings/forum section and possibly even allow the admin to choose if members/calendar would be on the menu bar or in the drop down menu. If the drop down menu is activated due to the number of apps, then all apps would be inside of it (except members/calendar, if the admin wants it on the menu bar…

Currently, in order to edit a hook to change something like which template it hooks into, you have to turn on IN_DEV mode. This is bad because it puts the whole site into developers mode. We should be able to edit a hook's properties without having to enable IN_DEV.

A client of ours has a IP.Board and was wondering about the possibility of spell checking being in place. I do notice that it's there but only if IESpell is installed, which is terrible. Let's face it, it's awful. What I would like is to see SpellerPages be implemented in the board, or something that uses the server to do the spell checking. Not some ActiveX component. Is there something that works with 2.3.3 and uses aspell that I am just not seeing? Thanks, Chad R. Smith Willetts Systems

So it seems that pretty much everything but the status updates (and maybe signatures ) support reporting (usually from an easy to see button). Why can't status updates be reported as abuse? For an example, look at your status updates here...
