This feauture could be applied on smilies directory as well not only uploads directory. I found unknown chat room where they has stolen my smilies, smilies were linked from my board, but I copied .htaccess file from my uploads directory to directory where I have smilies and now they have big No Permissions image instead of smilies :P :P :P

Just wondering if you can create a system that integrates with IPB or uses its login auth system as like a plugin, that will let you manage a subscription based service (a bit beyond what the subscription manager does) like a magazine or online game. Let's say I want to use "coupon codes" that can extend a subscription. Let's say I want people to be able to pre-pay 6 months, or a year with a discount. Let's say they go month to month. I want them to be promoted into a 'paid users' group if they are currently subscribed, and demoted out if they are not so they can't see some forums. How would I start going to do this? Affects privacy setting: 'Allow users to browse the Active Users list?' Hello, I observed some strangeness with this setting. Set to 'yes', everybody can browse the online list. Set to 'no', nobody can browse the online list. I found that a bit too general / absolute. Well, I expected administrators and global moderators are 'protected' from this, but admins and global mods are also forbidden to view it. Having a global option or at least a per group setting to allow / disallow it for them would be nice. This was possible in IPB 1.x days and I found it very useful to have. Just upgraded 3.0.0 to 3.0.1 Had hoped that the absence of being able to see recent posts older than 24 hours, would be reinstated. But am disappointed that it has not. , 3.0.1 has tidied up some issues nicely, but the feature of being able to catch up with posts when you have been away from the board for more than 24 hours, is a major omission, and complaints from member are being received. Lack of this feature is costing us posts and members! Since upgrade to 3.0.0 new registrations have also dropped. If this feature is not going to be included in future updates, will probably return to 2.3

I was hoping in IPB 3.x there would be a nice quick ban feature for administrators. Unfortunately I get a visitors who have no appreciation for board rules or a regular (sometimes daily) basis. Would it be possible to have a ban option integrated in IPB directly from the forum for administrators please? I was thinking somewhere in the following window would be ideal: Ted.

You can do mass move/pruning, would be nice to be able to pick and choose members from the list and then perform an action on only those chosen members. Also being able to search by filtering warn levels would be nice. Showing number of posts and warn level would also totally rock. :D

Currently if you go to someone's profile and try to send them a PM, if you decide you need all the editor options you don't have them, and there isn't a way to get to them short of copying what you typed so far, going to your messenger, typing in the name of the member, and pasting what you had written... There really needs to be a link on the "Quick PM" popup like their is on the fast reply, "Use Full Editor" which keeps what you'd written, who you're sending it to, and takes you to your messenger to send a PM with access to all the editor options.

Under admin - > skin_cp There are two folders one called images and another called _newimages. I think it should just be images. I am sure a simple find and replace can be used to quickly merge the two folders. find: _newimages/ replace: images/

I don't know if this has been asked before but I think it is a good idea. When I download I usually just upload the "upload" directory. I notice there is folders called upgrade. Now I do not know entirely what files are needed and what isn't. Can you make a simple package generator? Hi, we're using the status update hook, and our members love it but we're starting to see instances of people joining to spam it, which isn't so helpful. I know we could stop new members from editing their profile but that seems a bit draconian, so it would be really good to see a per usergroup option to disable the ability to do status updates. Any chance? Cheers

I heard that the subscription manager is not present in 3.0.1, and will be for 3.0.2. I have a few questions regarding this feature. If I was to upgrade 2.3.6 -> 3.0.1, would I lose all my subscribers? If I hold out until the subscription feature is available, will it automatically keep the subscribers and their expiry dates?
