When viewing groups (Member Groups > Manage User Groups) there is a column that shows total count. If there are one or more ppl in that column (Members) it becomes a hyperlink. If that is clicked it shows an "ACP Members List" filtering of who is in the group you clicked. But if you happen to click "Inc. Secondary Groups in Count" THEN click the "members # hyperlink" it seems to shows the whole list of members? So if "Inc. Secondary Groups in Count" is selected in Member Groups > Manage User Groups and one clicks a number total in the "Members Coulumn", is it not possible to return the ppl in the list you clicked in the filtered Members List (rather than the whol…

Basically what I'm asking is to find a way to disable this option by default rather having it enabled by default. I would rather have the posters choose to have their signatures displayed or not rather having it displayed by default. This includes the regular posting/new topic screen as well as the fast reply screen (you don't see the option like on the full page, but it still adds signatures by default).

Hello, I think IPB should take a look in for Modification Code Edits as they should be kept intact while upgrading to new Version of IPB. As Admins take lotz of pain for code of Modifications on their Board.

The only way I know how to Ignore a user is to go to my settings and add them there. In every post there is a "add as friend" icon, why not an "ignore user" one. If having it there seems kind of bad could put it in the view profile drop down box.

I like how users can set a global default for the reply notification setting but as an admin I'd like to set this default to "daily digest" for new members. A lot of my new members don't realise they can subscribe to topics and as a result we often have questions asked and then the original poster doesn't visit again.

This is the same post as israeli12 since I am him - used the wrong user... When will the problem with the alignment to the right will be fixed? Current version - V3.0.3 Example: This happens in every theme (for example - Delicate which was downloaded frome the resource site) which is less than a 100% of the screen resolution. I do expect IPB to find a solution. Even in the main theme there is a problem: When a user in inside a Topic and the Quick Reply field is enabled, there is a Horizontal scrollbar - only when I dissable the Quick reply option in the Forum settings the scrollbar dissapears... Within the IP.Board forum section, could a dropdown box be added for members to choose the board version they're referring to because as we know, there are a lot of differences between 2.3.x. and 3.0.x and if I (and others) are trying to offer assistance to other members, I find I'm always asking what IPB version they're querying. I would have suggested sub-forums but this can get complicated and look messy so a simple dropdown box like there is in the Tracker would be good :)

I noticed this when I was creating forums. I added a forum to a category and it took me back to a page showing only the forums in that category. But, when I press the Add Forum button, the default category that the forum is placed under it the category at the very top of the forums. I would suggest that when you click that button, the default category that the forum is placed under is the category that you are currently viewing. Does this make sense? :P

At this point, I have but one unfavorable issue with IP.Board 3.x... The lack of proper lightbox usage on resized, hyper-linked images. I submit the following example: http://community.invisionpower.com/blog/2553/entry-3542-member-related-hooking/ Mind you, this is a blog entry. But, hyper-linked images act in the same way on the forums as well. (Too lazy to search for a post example too. :P ) For starters, at least in FireFox, the images are often not resized the first time I visit the page. I know the Watched Content panel is semi-official, an example of a 'hook', but it would be nice if there was some kind of order to the Watched Topics. IMO, it would be best if the first in the list was the one that had most recently had a post added. Suggestion: Please add an AdminCP option to remove signatures when displaying PMs! They drive me nuts on my board when reading/scrolling through personal conversations. I can see the need in forums where they work better, but in PM's I think signatures are too distracting!

What about a Mod that existed in version 2.3, that gives us Multiple Members Access checking Cookies? This modification uses a cookie to detect any members who are using more than 1 account. I have downloaded IPB 3.0.4 from the client area and thought I would have a look in the Blog, Downloads and Gallery to see if there had been any updates. Seems I was right, 2.0.4 exists for Blog and Downloads whilst there is also an update of Gallery to 3.0.4. I thought this odd since there has not been an announcement of those releases so I checked in AdminCP under "Manage Applications & Modules" and discovered everything is still up-to-date. Even my board which is still at 3.0.3 is supposedly up-to-date as I type this. Whats going on? Ted.

Under "Manage Applications & Modules" I think it should be possible to order the links regardless of their category. Please consider adding the ability to reorder like this for a future release. Is there any way to add a link to a members page with all that members attachments? We have quite a few members asking for this feature due to the fact that it would integrate a "gallery" very well. As all our attachements are pictures. I do not find the IP gallery function to work so well as it separates the gallery photos from the forum attachments. So, if the members attachment could be vied for a regular member, a gallery is implemented this way automatically.

Hi, I see that http://www.ibskin.com/forums have now apparently been hacked. This follows another third party site for IPB which was hacked about 3 weeks ago. Is IP.Board safe if these sites are being hacked? < I will ask my other question via a ticket, just in case it is a backdoor > Thanks.

I'm a sucker for consistent user interfaces. Just noticed that the forum markers turn off when you click on them and mark the entire forum "as read". But, the topic markers (shown when viewing a forum) do not have a similar toggle. You must actually read the topic to mark the entire topic "as read". Seems like a UI oversight to me.

Hi, I've been playing with the Outline Display Mode, and clearly there must be a reference tag in each post in order for the board software to record threading information. If that is the case, I wonder why no board that I know of has gone the extra step and implemented threading based features, such as - Views which only show full subthreads - Color marking of one's own posts and its replies - Ignore subthreads - Filter subthreads based on posters - etc In addition, especially with today's wide monitors, a thread navigation pane on the left, like file managers usually have, would seem like a good idea. I've been exploring the ShowError routine and error logging. I've read http://community.invisionpower.com/resources/official.html?record=128 . Matt has also promised that the next release of IP.Board will make some of the logging functions public instead of protected. Would it be possible to handle a new level of error reporting, the '0' level for 'information only'. This level is not an error, it's a log of activity. It would be far preferable to have this capability, rather than having to write my own activity logging, and would be a useful facility for all modders I think.
