Help. That's what we need: HELP. I am three calls in to the support line here and our site is still showing the following error message: IPS Driver Error There appears to be an error with the database. You can try to refresh the page by clicking here We are not f*(king around here, we are a 15+ year old retailer with 2500 customers registered and holiday sales needed to make a living. The lady on the phone has been nice and friendly but I have received ZERO e-mails, ZERO support, and our board is DOWN. We did exactly nothing to lead to this situation. chmb.invisionzone.com

From the service I've gotten so far, basically IPB is straining the boundaries for it not being possible for them to improve their customer service. I cannot believe how helpful and knowledgeable they are in all their documentation, support (from tickets, and various forums); and I basically can't be anymore satisfied. I just wanted to share it with you guys. Just all the possibilities they give us and the amazing board to start out with, it astonishes me to no end. Things like iCommerce and auto-pm modifications are just great and I seriously think this is one of, if not the best software, customer support/forum company on the web. ;)

Few of my suggestions; [*]Fewer links [*]Better categorized [*]TinyMCE on ticket-editor [*]Display various information on the frontpage (Name, products, tickets sent, ticket awaiting reply, statistics, etc.) [*]Bug: The success image when you login has a Success-text displayed. I've been thinking about making a feedback post for awhile, and I finally overcame my laziness and did it! I'm just going to try and give my honest thoughts as a fairly recent convert. I apologize in advance for any rambling. I moved my forum off vBulletin onto IPB back in mid-October. To be honest, I hadn't paid much mind to IPB since probably 2003, and was a bit floored when I tried out the demo for 3.0. Things I'd need a mod for on vB are already in IPB by default, which is a nice change to be sure. Not to say I don't understand the concern over the lack of a more active mod community, but 3.0 is pretty darn new, especially compared to vB 3.x, so I can only see thin…

this morning, my forum started flagging HTTP 500 errors whenever the forum was accessed. http://www.kiltsrock.com/forum/ I checked the error logs and all I get is this "Premature end of script headers: index.php" does anyone have any ideas what this might be? I've been running 3.0.4 for about 2 weeks without any trouble.

After using this software for a bit, and having been pleased with its performance thus far I would like to share my thoughts with people looking for some answers. Hopefully some of my commentary will help potential buyers since it comes from a fellow vbulletin admin. Just to elaborate a bit before beginning, I've been a vbulletin user for a little over 3 years now on a relatively small forum with a consistent group of posters. I am thinking for anything in the ToS or agreement when you download IPB that states you agree to not use IPB as a means to promote any illegal software, digital or otherwise. There is a site that has ripped off a game which they are placing online shortly for sale and using IPB as a means to promote the game and talk about it. So I just want to see if there is anything in that regards. If someone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Hi everyone, I have a rather lengthy suggestion that I feel would immensely improve the IPS product line as a powerful tool for building a site. I would like to say that I love IPS products. Your forum software is hands down the best I've ever used, and in this latest release you've focused a lot on polishing the little details. I've purchased IPB in August 1th and I am very unhappy with it. The board I've installed is very slow and the hosting Company even transferred me to a newer server with higher capabilities (and I paid for it as well) but the boards are still very slow. So far I have no active users so it cannot be said that it loads the server… (Only me…) It takes about 4-5 secondes to load every page. I have created other sites in my life and this has never happend to me. I also created an ASP home page and it loads up faster then you can say "whoops"... Has anyone else encountered this issue before? Thanks in advance Guy

Hello, Would be great to see that the skin you set will not be override from what is in the URL. This is an issue over at http://innlegg.no/ which has multiple portals using one forum, in turns having their own skin. Birger :)

Don't know if this was mentioned before but I'm styling my Settings and it has a similar style to the tabs of the members page and when you go to edit this style there is no way around using an image background which you don't have to do on the Members page. It's weird and a little aggravating to work with so it would be nice if these style were either worked the same or else linked together somehow. Changing the background of the tab_bar.no_title class is a pain because of this. If you need more info just ask. >_<

A sub-section in Topics, Posts and Polls where an administrator can set a value that determines if the post has X many words, and another area where you can add keywords to search for, if they X many words is greater than how many the user submitted. So if I put 5 words, and "thank", "great" (loose terms), and someone makes a reply under 5 words, containing at least one of the keywords, it's automatically deleted, and given rep to the first post.

I'm in the process of making a skin that I'll be releasing to the public for free... Must this skin have different images from the IPB default skin? Or can some images be the same...? EG - Can the default themes images be used in a completely new skin and be released? Also, does the same apply if I was to sell a skin down the road? Just wanted to be sure.

I will be running 3 versions of IPB on seperate domains. Some of the forums will be specific to the individual domain but some will be more general interest. As member syndication via converge is already possible it would be nice if somebody posted in a certain forum on one domain it would be syndicated on others. I'm aware this is sort of possible with RSS but it wouldn't take care of replies this way.

I'd like to see a replacement for MediaWiki, even if it doesn't support as many features. Our online documentation is mostly written by the community in the wiki, and it would be nice if we could consolidate the wiki together with the forum/blog/profile system. Migration isn't even that big of an issue, since it is easy to copy and paste an article. All it needs is articles any authorized user group can edit. I'd make it simple in structure and just let the users define the layout of the articles.

Sorry for posting this question in this area....but I have tried to post in the peer to peer technical area, but even though I am logged in, there is a gray background box at that top that says no new posts are allowed. I went to a few other areas and saw the same thing...that is why I posted here in hopes the admins could notice and fix this problem. My problem by the way is.....
