Hello everyone, Another thing I'm trying to find out. Has anyone tried to add goals for IP.Subscriptions in Google Analytics? Could you please share the URLs to use? Would also be great to implement this with the E-commerce tracking code if you have more then one package!

Thought I'd show you guys (only with Charles mentioning it, mind you!) what the iPhone App looks like with a custom mobile skin - specifically, a modified version of the Aqua-Soft Mobile skin by Timan. The skin (which made our site look like an iPhone app anyway) really polishes off the UI of the *real* app in my opinion since it fits so well into the rest of the iPhone interface. I find it pretty neat that there is absolutely NO limits to what you can make it look like since it's just HTML and CSS. Brilliant! I can't seem to find an option to enable guests to view attached images. When logged in will show the image in the post. When not logged in you get: Attached File image.jpg (8K) Number of downloads: 0 Clicking that as a guest gives you: [#10171] You do not have permission to view this attachment. I would like the attach images to be shown as if the guest was logged in. Is there a way to do this?

I have recently got commented on my status from some random person linking me to a warez website. This same person also commented many other people status with smiley faces. So with that I was thinking of approval for the end user. Much like friend adding, and profile comments. Status update comments: (maybe the options) Approval for all comments Approval for all comments except from Friends No Approval Anyone else think this will be a useful? Cheers! Freddy

Hi All, I was wondering if somebody might be able to help me, I have used the Skin Generator to come up with a new swanky theme - great I thought. But after installing the theme, clearing cache etc the header block and coloured tabs are missing, please see attached file. I did try double re-caching\rebuilding the theme and re-installing the theme but this did not fix the problem :( I had a troll through the forum but could not find anything so though I would post. Thank you for any help in advance. Paul

I am not sure if this is where I should post this. Regarding the RSS Import / Export feature. One thing I find lacking is the ability to parse for words in the Feeds (Import) I will be running a few feeds (Imported) into my site and would like to be able to Parse words. An example of this is I use my media credentials to bring in RSS from various Race teams and only want specific content such as Ben Spies, or Collin Edwards as an example There is not such function in the Import Stream.... The Uh Hummm Other guys have it :)

I think pinned topics need to be made more obvious again. Either the pinned topic separator that was in IPB before 3.0 should be brought back or pinned topics should have a different colored background from normal topics, the same way that SMF and vB4 display pinned topics. People need to be able to easily tell which topics are pinned because pinned threads are important topics. And when the only way to tell pinned topics from normal topics is an extremely small and not very obvious green prefix, people aren't going to notice them right away and they'll blend in with normal topics and make things look more cluttered.

I just want to say that I really dislike the emailing members feature on the new board. It used to be an IPB generated form. Now, my email program comes up. I really did not want the members having my email for the particular emails I send out... such as questions that go more in depth if they did not answer the ones on the application for membership. Thought I'd throw in my .02.

I'd suggest to add those feayres to ad code integrator: Add custom blocks to footer/header/left/right side of board Each block of code: Excempt groups Block active/offline Included pages, for example, X=Y Excluded pages, for example, A=B Ability to parse PHP Block wrapping template Hope this will add a lot of functionality to all IPB sites.

I have noticed on the BBC news site that they have the ability to share via facebook from the mobile skin. Just wondered if this was possible from the IPB skin, and if so if it could be added. They also have email and SMS, both of which would be nice, but appreciate the SMS might be impossible due to differing locations.

It would be kind of nice to have a quick login section appear when clicking sign in rather than going to a new page. For some reason I keep expecting it to do that. I must have logged in on another site that way recently and forgot it doesn't work that way here.

Lately things like the new skinning utility have been taking some of the tedium out of doing development with IP products. But actually setting up an instance in development mode to do work is not simple. What I would like to see is a way to install a development setup and simply tell it I want development mode rather than a whole bunch of fiddly changes needing to be manually made to do what could/should be done by an inbuilt utility. Apart from learning the new way of coding for v3.x the hassle of setting up a working dev system has just left me not wanting to play. I started making my first app and was told by the dev article that I needed IN_DEV mode on. I followed the tutorial and besides the fact that it took me a lot of extra steps not mentioned in the tutorial I got it enabled. A couple things not mentioned 1) As you make master_skin you must also make master_skin_xml and master_skin_lofi if you want to have any chance of re-importing from php files into database. 2) Same as #1 except with master_css 3) For some reason if you don't delete/rename the print.css file the website displays half way and looks horrible. I'm currently browsing the site using my Blackberry. The main forums show but everything is aligned to the right. Viewing a forum section sometimes has the page scrunched up to the left. I though maybe my phone was playing up but my site and others are working fine.

Hi, I have sphinx installed and it appears to be fine. However I manually ran the rotate and noticed a couple of items. Do I need to be concerned about the WARNING: duplicate document ids found or WARNING: attribute 'friend_only' not found - IGNORING how about ERROR: index 'blog_search_delta': too many fields (fields=35, max=32); raise SPH _MAX_FIELDS in sphinx.h and rebuild. I do not appear to have a sphinx.h on the server. or can it all be safely ignored?

I have a simple suggestion. Hopefully it's nothing too difficult. :unsure: In a public poll, you get a blue star icon indicating the option you voted for. You don't get this indication for nonpublic polls. I think this icon should be shown regardless of whether it's a public poll or not. I am now running IP.Chat 1.0.0 on my site. The following suggestions are based on what my users are screaming loudest about: 1) Private Chat, which has a great implentation in the IP.Chat 1.1.0 version. So, no worries on this one. I'm just putting here because they are screaming about it and I keep telling them soon. 2) Ability to change font size (globally, per user). I'd like to see photo cropping implemented, especially for avatar/profile photos. Basically, you could use a script like http://www.defusion.org.uk/code/javascript-image-cropper-ui-using-prototype-scriptaculous/ (there are others out there too) which would present the user with a crop photo page after the upload, but before the form is processed and the avatar/profile photo is saved. I'd also like to see the cropper as an option on photo attachments that I have uploaded so I can adjust a photo to best fit in the topic. This cropper could also have the ability to shrink the dimensions of big photos for display while keeping the originals intact for downloading.

I've posted this before, but so far, I haven't seen any progress on this. I'd like to see you separate the UPLOAD action from the ATTACH to POST action. That is, I'd like to see a link for me to UPLOAD files into a file bucket. Basically, this would work just like attachments to a post now let you upload one or more files. The form would only allow a Title (for the bucket name) and the attachments section for uploading the files. Once the bucket form is submitted, it would basically attach it as a post to an UPLOAD topic. The user should be able to view this topic and edit any post in it (to add/remove/replace files in the bucket post). Next, I'd like to see the…
