It didn't happen in ver. 3.1, so I'm hoping, it will in ver. 3.2 I'm tired of digging through countless clicks to find a topic in my profile, I don't want to be subscribed to anymore. I even don't reply in some topics, because before I even touch a key on my keyboard, I'm already thinking about a pain of un-subscribing. Who is the boss? A customer is the boss, or is he?

Okay firstly this issue may be down to me applying the Mod shown here (changed for 3.1 slightly) http://community.inv..._1#entry1963925 But when ever I choose VNC on my site, defaulted to show all unread posts (but with the internal flag flip flopped due to the Mod) I always get as per the attached, that is 'xx entries since June 4th', is this because the sites internals think that I'm using 'since last logged on' mode? But saying that I log on 3-4 times a day. I've tried clearing cookie, marking all as read, and using different browsers, still makes no difference. Any ideas? How do you switch back to the mobile skin if you happen to press the "Use Full Version" link at the bottom and the full version does not fit on the phone or is messed up and you want to return to the mobile skin?

Hi, I have a project in which my members can post recurring events in calendar. But I want also, the possibility when they post the event to auto-generate a topic in a designated forum(by Admin) in order for others to post replies to that topic event. In 2 words it's like the auto-generated topic suport from the I.P Downloads. Is it possible to have this feature in the next versions of ipb? Thank you! Best regards!

So far so good. Our users are loving the new software, and I'm happy with how nicely it treats the server. Server loads are down, and site performance is quite snappy. However.......... As a long time vB user, I half expect to have to search in every nook and cranny when dealing with permission issues. I must admit, IP wins the contest in making me search every single nook, cranny, drawer, cupboard, and outhouse when trying to track down a permission issue. For example. One would expect that if a user reports they can't use the "report post" function, you would find the permission settings in Report Center settings. Or perhaps usergroup settings. But man, how obsc…

Topic tagging for some forums would be an awesome feature to have because of the SEO aspect of it. and a tag cloud sidebar for board index. and topic cloud in the search of the most used tags .This would be cool to have.

Hello IPS I am playing around with IP.Board 3.1 I love what was done with the new version with the twitter connect and all the great features. I would like to see something in the next version if at all posible When people report posts or images. or downloads could a PM be sent to the reporter that reported it about the outcome of the image or topic report. weather the member got warned or topic got closed or image got removed from the gallery.

I wanted to give here some opinions on what could improve the forum in the near future ... I have some forums, but no doubt the IPB is the best, but still can improve more ... Well here are some suggestions ... In part to send emails in bulk, should give in to send a private message much like email ... there should be a part of the message to be sent to a specific time. In the blog area I see tags here in IPS I was wounding were tags added during last upgrade 3.1? I didn't see anything about tags in the listing? If so will IP Gallery be adding them to it when it next comes out?

Hi All, I do not usually post on these forums but thought it worthwhile in this case. We were having issues using the XML-RPC interface with the IP.Board forum software from a ASP.NET Web application. I requested online assistance and resolved the problem within an hour. It turned out that we were using a non-associate array when passing parameters via XML-RPC which meant the server responded with "unable to locate module: ''". So IPB 3.1.0 has gone GOLD and with it the support team will be inundated by support requests. I am sure at some point I will join in with a bug report or two, but I wanted to say thank you for what has been a dream upgrade. Problem with VNC on site here, if I go into the forums tab I only see new content for downloads, the rest of the posts don't show up, this has been happening the past 3 days? Is it just me and any ideas of how to fix it?

Now that Youtube video share links are automatically processed to use MEDIA tags, I'd like to see you use the Youtube API to link to an image of the video with a play button super-imposed. Clicking on the link should insert the HTML to load and play the video. I'd like to not have to worry about how many Youtube Videos can be displayed on a page due to loading the Youtube FLASH player too many times. In the Youtube API, it is easy to retrieve the available thumbnails for the video (0.jpg, 1.jpg, etc). You might also just use the lightbox to hold/play the video and treat these videos like photo files (you click on them to see full size versions). Anyway, the MEDI…

It seems to me that IPS took a step backwards with the login box when you are logged out, it looked nice with icons in 3.0.5 and now is kind of plain with no icons, how come? Really looks plain if you are not using Facebook, Twitter, etc.

It's a small thing, but I would like to see this change: When there is no text selected and I click the Quote button, there are two tags generated: _quote_ _/quote_ and then the cursor is placed at the end of the close tag. Same thing with the Code button. If I click one of those two buttons, then the assumption should be made that I am going to type or paste something, so why not immediately place the cursor between the open and close tags? There's a PHPBB forum that I frequent, and it has this behaviour. It's just a nice thing to not have to position the mouse and click or cursor back over to where I can start typing. It also cuts down on the amount of screwup…

This is more of a question/feedback. Question first: Does the admin panel have a way to auto clear old read/unread notifications after a certain time frame? I could see the notifications getting really messy and overloading forums if you aren't able to administratively remove them after they have been sitting around after a month or something. The Suggestion? If this isn't available it would be nice to have or have a default task added for this. Thanks a million. ^_^

OK, I am not sure if this has ever been suggested, or if it's even possible, but tonight I thought whenever I click "view new content" I have to click each tab: Forums - Members - Help Files - Blogs - Calendar - Gallery - Resources - Community Downloads to see if there is new content within each group. So I thought, wouldn't it be great if you could have a red asterisk or some such symbol show up next to each tab with new content. Here is a screen shot with the red asterisk's added for an example. Like I said, I don't know if this is possible but I though I would throw it out to ya.... :) Jamie

It would be nice if a system were in place which allows apps to throw error messages if your app version is lower than needed for your current forum version or other such compatibility details. For IP.tracker, for instance, you must upgrade to 1.3.3 to have it work with IPB 3.1.0, but I didn't realize it until I got an error when trying to submit a new issue on my test site and so then I figured it out. But anyway I don't know if that type of thing would happen often, but figured I would suggest anyway.
