Hi, 2 questions regarding attachments: 1) We want our users be able to attach files from simple editor, without moving to full editor. Can this be done, how? 2) We want full attachments (images for example), when quoted, not links. Is there setting for this?

IP.Calendar - List event titles in calendar overview instead of the number of events ^ Is this possible, or an option anywhere for this? The monthly overview is kinda useless if you have to click on each individual day to see what happening.

Is there a change log that lists exactly what has been changed or fixed in minor releases? For example, I would like to know what changed from 3.2.1 to 3.2.2. I'm interested in specifically what fixes were put into 3.2.2.

First thing, make IPB capable of collecting email from one (or more) email accounts. Option setting to delete emails (and if so, immediately or those that are X hours/day/weeks old). Second thing, parse each email. Topic would have Re or Re: or (Re:) etc as expected, but would ignore all that. eftid=(forum#).(topic#) Topic name for example. Then somewhere in the email (required to work), the member would have to reply quoting a line that has MEMBERID=(member id #) followed by their encyrpted password That way a member could reply via email and have their replies added to the topic. Would require a bit of work since it would have to figure out what part of the e…

Am I missing this option in 3.2 or was it removed and replaced by [the ever so annoying] ignoring of a single person's signature. I hope I'm missing the option rather than a useful one being removed. I could care less what anyone's sig says...I'm on forums to read comments, not sigs and ignoring every single users sig is tedious, cumbersome and annoying.

Recently I saw skins with 30$ price in marktplace ! , http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/4807-genesis-32/ http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/4792-whispers32-skin/ http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/4437-uniform-32x/ I really do not understand how skiners put the price , I know designers can do complete custom skin with 50$ .

It would be nice to present the moderator/admin after they choose to MERGE / SPLIT / MOVE a topic where they'd like to return to. Since the operation knows what forum they were in and what forum they targeted the logical options would be: Would you like to return to <<SOURCE FORUM>> Would you like to review the post in <<TARGET FORUM>> Or Select forum << FORUM DROP DOWN LIST >>

We use polls for voting on literature contests. We need members to vote but the poll should be invisible and when the voting period is over to lock. Then the topic starter or a mod should, by hand, open the votes and present the outcome. Is this possible?

This is the format i have written my post initially with a gap between each line. After i made the thread, this is how it looked :- WOW, some times it gives more space between each line, now it does not gives any space at all. 3.2.0 gave lot of spaces but 3.2.1 gives no space between each line :|

A lot of IPB's design problems stem from the use of a floating width page layout. It seems like the designers tend to fill the page with redundant information because they don't know what else to fill up all the blank space with. If you look around the web, pretty much all companies have decided to use a fixed width layout around 1000 pixels wide. I suggest using 1024 pixels as your width, because that is the native resolution of the iPad. While I don't suggest using Apple's products to make big decisions that affect everyone, the iPad's resolution is within the range of modern fixed width pages, and is as good a number to choose as any. If you had a fixed width lay…

Hi! I was thinking tonight how it would be nice if the header did not cause so much wasted space on IPB 3.2. So, I mocked up my recommendation for the new, improved header for 3.2.3. Here it is: And, for posterity's sake, here is the current (wasteful) one: Thanks!

Deleting swarms of spammers can be a bit cumbersome with the current arrangement. We'd love it if the CP member edit function had the spammer select and the delete posts option in the top bar. For example.... This has the added advantage that it's easier to tell at a glance if a member has been spammed or not. On a similar note, a way to delete all of a spammers posts from a search would be extremely helpful; for example... With it like this you could handle large amounts of spammers far faster. Thanks for your consideration!

As far as I'm aware, the only way to do it is to add bumping reply to push given pinned topic to the top. There are some sections in ACP, where you simply drag items up and down to change their positions. Would it be possible to add same feature to the IPB board? P.S. As a temporary solution, where in database I can find those pinned topics? Is it possible for me to access them, to start with and if so, can I juggle them there?

Not sure what is going on here but most times I cannot cut and paste info into a post but only AFTER I have added quotes marks, then later, I can without quote marks. In the next upgrade please remove the necessity to use these manually and revert to auto quoting on pasting.

Suggestion - One email notification per topic visit on a followed topic. Its not possible right now, other forums have this as pretty much a default setting. Upon conversion to IPB that was the #1 thing I'm missing right now. References ticket# 759771 Thank you

I am not good enough in English to convince you that it is the best change you can do - but I thought a long time ago about suggest you to change the personal-conversation system to something similar like Facebook did - without message-titles, but only a sequence of conversation for each couple of users. Just try to see what people wrote in the titles, it's nothing more than "Hi", "Hello", "See Please" or "...". However, I think you must fix this very old bug before moving forward to add new features: http://community.inv...210#entry116210

Right now, I see that the System Scheduler uses a cooperative multitasking approach using page loads to fire off scheduled tasks. I can also see that individual tasks have the option of being run using cron instead of by System Scheduler, by using a tailored curl string for use with crontab. Could it be possible to code in something that allows the System Scheduler itself to be run via cron instead of via page loads, in a similar manner as with the individual tasks? Some sort of on/off switch in the system settings to control this? You could decrease the potential loading each user sees when they visit the board using this approach, for they would not run the risk of ha…

I think the main calendar view could be developed further more to show more data that are already available: 1. On the month view I would find very useful to have a column on the right side showing all upcoming events. At present we have to click on the next month and search for all the possible future events. 2. The mini calendars under the month view - there is no indication of whether there is any event on the particular day or not. It would be easy to have some of the dates highlighted to give immediate information regarding events on that day.

Hello, Since IPB3 is using the new OpenID program, I would like to suggest that IPS maybe use Facebook Connect as well. Millions of people use Facebook and the amount of people that would be able to register using FB Connect FAR outnumbers those using Open ID http://developers.facebook.com/connect.php This would certainly be a feature that could set IPB apart from it's competition. It can also probably be set up so that new users have their profile picture as their avatar! -Tom

When you click on the message icon at the top, I believe if you click on the avatar image it should take you to their profile.

Because of the flexibility of the posting system and BBcodes, I was wondering if there are more available for import. Are they a standard xml type that we can find on the web, or do we need to compile it for IPB3? I noticed the twitter BBcode tag and wondered what others were available. It's a pretty good posting system. Tables would be nice + others like text wrap around photos, Styling options for artilces like stylized text quotes, columns and tables and some others come to mind. Also integration BBcodes for popular online 3rd party apps photo services (place shutterflly), myspace/facebook content, etc --> all utilized on blogs and posts....
