Hi folks, I'm fairly new to IPB, so please forgive me if this FAQ (I've checked the documentation). I'm a little confused regarding the different Member Validation Info status. I have my forum set up so that I need to approve new members. However, when I get a notification on the Control Panel home page (I'm using 3.2), it takes me to the Member Management page and I understand I need to look for the "red" ones, as they require my action. Trouble is, I've got 12 pages of members requiring action, and all but 1 (in this case) are green, mostly with a status of "Lost Password". Apparently (not sure myself, never used it) we used to have a 'mark all content read' link on the New Content page, which we don't any more. Seems like it might be useful - I know there's one in the footer, but it's a bit out of the way (I've had to tell people where it is) and it seems likely people are going to want to use it on the New Content page. Perhaps by content type (forum, blog, pages) depending on what you're looking at, or just globally.

Find content when you browse your own post history you cant actually browse your own post content that you posted which seems quite bad. if i made a post like 2 years ago it will be impossible to find your own post content because it will only show the first post and last post but not the actual post you made. If you imagine the thread you posted contains 50 pages and you posted at the page 30 you wont be able to find your post content at all. You will have to force to check every single page of which post you made.. So isnt it possible to allow us to view every single post content

Hello, I think SEO is a great utility which is making us all users excited. The one difficulty we are facing is when we are running it with the google analytics code, the search results graph and keywords statistics stops displaying. I was surprised how many of us is having the problem, there are multiple threads being initiated on this subject since August 2011, but I have not seen any feedback from the IP team addressing this issue. When raising a ticket I am being redirected to the Ticker, but I haven't found a response there either. I think it is such a serious problem we are facing that it would be helpful if any feedback could be provided on this subject.

I have posted a bug report, in which I state that the notification system is not honoring the ignore list. So when you follow a thread and one of your ignored users is posting a reply, you get a notification. Obviously this is not a bug... do I miss something...?

Guys, I know this could just be a test from your end, but I'm really not feeling the layout of the HTML emails - it's FAB that we have this functionality, but the layout really does need a little work me thinks. The lines really should go for a start, and better positioning of the logo would be good and a little pet hate of mine is all the truncating of URL's, I appreciate why you do it, but hate the look of it, I'd much rather see the entire URL :) Cheers Marko

Is there a possibility to add an attachment to the bulk mail within IPB? I'm trying to see if possible add a pdf to the bulk email being sent out. Or is there another app out there that can have that capability? Thanks, Ben

I'm not sure IPB have this feature, because I remember asking the sales department months back before joining IPB, they said they will look into it. Any update guys? Its important for admins to access and reply post via email especially when replying something complex like product price quotations.

I was considering buying IP Board Enterprise and after reading through your community forums and seeing "real time" how the staff handles questions, ... I will stick to vBulletin 4. I get my questions answered the same day. Glad I took a look around before purchasing and got a first hand look at how IP handles their current customers, responds to questions and slams posts. :no: They just lost a potential customer! There needs to be an easier way for tags to be added to existing posts. You can edit a post title inline using the moderator actions button, you should be able to add/remove tags in the same way

We just purchased IPB Board licenses #52 and #53 today. :hyper: While we use a mix of both VB and IPB, I like the community here, the updates IPS provides and their customer service. :huggles: Moreover, IPS seems to take the communities suggestions in the implementation of their product releases; although, it's been stated by members that there's been a fracturing of that in 3.2. I hope that's not the case. What I do wish is that IPB would get a better handle on their side bar content management. Vince made a fantastic program that kicked anything that VB had. Simple suggestion to tighten security. Say a member posts a url with a session id in it(happens too often here). Say another member has subscribed for email notification of that topic. An edit(if even done) is too late... the emails already either queud to send or Sent. Is it not viable to "sniff" the post for session id links and remove the url session id bit?

I hope this is in the "right" section. (Please move if another is better of course) Converting my ubb forums over to ipboard was always something that "worried" me. Anyway I just want to say thank you to Alex and his colleagues after they have put a lot of effort into getting my conversion done from ubbthreads. There were a few puzzlers going on, but they have (fingers crossed) solved them all and the conversion has been done brilliantly. They have always been very fast, friendly and very willing to look into things properly. $120 very well spent if you ask me. Great job. Thank you very much!

Hi, I've been running your demo and found it very useful for our purposes. One thing I haven't seen is the ability to assign a password to calendars. I'll explain. It is possible to make forums password locked. So for example, you can create subforums for certain user groups (clans) so they have their own space to discuss their internal affairs. Using a password instead of creating a new permission group is much more convenient for the site administrator. Same thing for the calendars. This is pretty chaotical and it's nightmare for me to when I am giving moderator permissions for new moderators.. Why we have so many settings? It's only worse. Since we have ModeratorCP (what was really good thing) we really don't need so many features for removing or hidding or deleting or what settings. Now I am testing in on my test board and I don't understand few things. First my solution - it's easy and it won't be chaotical any more. Moderators should have two options: - unapprove topic/post - this will be simply hidden from members view.
