Why am i not allowed to upload more than 10 files at once when adding a topic? In the gallery, this limit has been lifted with the upgrade to the latest version... what's the point to still have it in the forum? referring 'issue' in the tracker: http://community.invisionpower.com/tracker/issue-34372-10-files-upload-limit-in-forum-and-no-limit-in-gallery/

Possible to enhance share it with twitter, facebook and Google +1 so that it shows numbers ...that how many times it was shared by users? Something like this: http://techcrunch.co...-friends-yahoo/ On the top, it will say how many users shared it via facebook, twitter and Google +1.

In the IPS Marketplace Topics board can the skin topics please be moved into a separate board from the modification topics? Recently we've had two skins that were released in like five different colors and then an additional "bundle" package and all those threads are just cluttering up the board.

We need setting which doesn't allow to register from specific IP address. Will prevent spam. Ban is solution, but this can decrease traffic.

Some hosting companies are using Modsecurity or other security measures to safeguard against SQL injections and as a result, when in the ACP, SQL Toolbox and clicking on the number to view the records for a db table, instead of viewing the list an error will result. Since I'm using .htaccess to catch failed URL's, I'm getting a community message. However I can click to view the table structure and I can also do the query manually at the bottom of the page and have it work (select * from table_name) as the query isn't in the URL directly. So either setting the record number to submit differently should fix it so that it won't create an issue on servers that have this s…

In 2.3, an email would be sent for followed topics when there was a reply, but any subsequent replies would be ignored. In 3.2, an email is sent for every reply. This is sending out loads and loads of emails for popular topics. Is there any way to restore the old functionality?

When a forum is set to sort by replies, all posts with the same number of replies seem to have no secondary sort criteria. Example: Would it be possible to get a secondary sort feature for this kind of scenario, or have Sort by Replies also sort topics with the same number of replies by date in order to retain some form of organization? Thanks!

It is not currently possible to divide emoticons between multiple folders/categories (i.e. holiday, emotions, etc...). When new emoticons are uploaded they all end up in the same folder. This means that users may have to scroll through a large number of emoticons to find the single one they want. Our previous forum software offered the option to sort emoticons. It was a nice feature for our users. I would recommend offering this feature since a single folder of emoticons is quite bulky for users to sort through.

When someone post a long reply in a topic you're subscribed to, in your email notification you have to scroll all the way down to click on a link to go to that topic. I found it very useful to add the very same link at the top of email notification, so you can travel to the topic without scrolling all the way down. When editing a member in the AdminCP, you have to go to a different tab to see their post count (Forum Details), and the primary group is on the basic information page but it's in a dropdown without formatting. It'd be great if the post count and primary group was available on the first tab under the sidebar box like so (I've made the change on my board). Before: After: Thanks!

Right now, the option for removing the "edited" line is a global setting. By adding the option to remove the "edited by" line for posts made by other members in the group settings (or as a moderator permission), administrators would be able to allow moderators to edit their own posts without leaving the "edited" line, but require it for editing posts made by other members.

Hi, This is something that I think should be implemented as it's very confusing to an admin user who has restrictions on their account. When I set a user to ONLY have access to IP.Content on the AdminCP and they login, they're greeted with a: System Error [#1004] You do not have permission to access this page This is incredibly confusing for a user who has no idea what they have access to. You should have a 'default landing page' for groups with admin access. For example my 'Writers' have admin access but only to IP.Content. Shouldnt IP.Content be the default landing page?

I tried adding html to my categories, and descriptions, and i ended up with a funkey seo url which did not look right, so I contact support, and they tell me that it has something do with SEO urls as this will not work properly, and I could do this if i hack my db... I do not want to have to hack my db in order to enhance my forum, as I would just have to repeat the process whenever I get ready for the next upgrade, then I would have to start all over again, so this really makes no sense. I renewed each app since I have been using IPB and its apps, what is almost 6 years. But in last time I have feelings that it's not needed. I do major upgrade maybe 1-2 times per year and apps are updated only sometimes. I need support only very occasionaly and there some apps with which I am disapointed with progress (not official apps). On spring 2012 I'll finish studying at university and then maybe I go away. When I'll stop all renewals can I renew it at any time without penalty to regain access? For example after 3-4 years.

It would be nice if when setting up a new site/forum the default for posting is so that Banned, guests & validating do not have permission to post, reply, upload and download Might save a few people from accidentally allowing spammers onto new forums. :)

hi i like the new chat update specially the guest options so can ips improve it to allow guest to enter there own nickname so for members it's show nickname and for mod it show guest_nickname also allow them to have avatar and ability to be promoted and register at the web site also allow the admin to assign member color just temp color for guest that they use in chat app only and permanent color for your community member and add option for special group to change there own username color and add symbol to it this will make chat more fun and they keep coming back and have fun if they can change color, picture, font and add special character to their names

It would be useful to assign moderators to specific threads, especially for boards with IP.Downloads integrated, but for forums that have threads dedicated to or managed by a specific member, as well. Perhaps an option for forums to have the thread starter be the moderator of that thread?

I believe this is one part of the reasons why IPB forums rank so bad. I'm lucky enough to have millions of backlinks where that kind of overrides the poor SEO construction. One thing I feel that needs a lil attention and better output is the auto-meta tags. So let's take this thread for example once I post it. If Administrators can restrict topic views to the original post, it would allow many sites to open up more of their board for search indexing, as well as promote new user registration to read the rest of the content of the threads.

Please consider putting the status update box back at the top of the "Recent Status Updates". It is not intuitive to update your status now and all this will do is discourage use of this feature and make any board using it look less active. Anyone have a hook to put this back?
