If this is actually in IPS4 then apologies, but if it is then I am as blind as a bat and twice as ugly as one. When browsing forums of popular games makers some of the forums allow users to easily locate staff posts in a given thread using a 'go to next staff reply' feature. This is particularly useful in fast flowing threads where there is a lot of "noise" and all you really want to find is a staff response I'd like to see this feature added to the board module of IPS4 so members can easily locate staff responses in threads without the need to actually navigate and scan the threads for the staff. Sorry, I am forced by IPS to start a new topic, since they closed all other topics regarding the new EU cookie law. This is a feedback forum, So I am giving you my feedback. Facts: 1. There is a law in the entire European Union that requires to inform your visitor about cookies, before ANY tracking cookie is being written to the visitor. You can turn this left, right upside down, but this is the law. No discussion about that. There are no other interpretations of this law. 2. I am asking for a flag special permise a user to view content readed on the past, and filter that also based on is marked as unread (there are new message) or read (don't have new content to read, you have already read all them). Hi I now have 5 or 6 different Emoticon Categories installed for users to select from. It seems from what I can see that it is one of the few areas in IPB4 where permissions cannot be set. So what I would like to do is offer Category 1 to all members but offer Categories 2 3 & 4 to my Paid Membership (VIP Group) Is this possible or can it be done please? Thank you

Being able to upload a custom forum icon is great However, I really think it would be much better if we could also have the option to choose from the full list of FontAwesome icons, potentially removing the need for an image based icon in many situations.

I think it’s pretty standard: I can filter for example Amazon books to the category “biographies & memoirs” and “last 30 days” and then I can just copy the URL as bookmark, share it in an email or social network and so on. It worked the same way in IP.Content, but it seems this is not the default or even possible (?) in Pages. The URLs become invalid after a while and they somehow mix with the personal choices of the user. As a result, the URLs, which people are just expecting to be able to be copied and shared, can lead to different results or no useful results at all. And even more confusing: the filter options are actually shown to be active in the filter section…

Separate time limits for editing OPs (thread post) and replies. This would be incredibly useful because sometimes a user has got something going in the OP that they will want to modify over time based on suggestions and feedback, as well as other changes over time. Replies should still be limited because the above doesn't apply to them. Examples of this could be roleplaying sheets & stories, help posts and guides, etc. etc.

While assisting on a newly updated IP4 (RC6) site, I noticed the following was missing from the ACP for the forum settings (which is a very requested feature for one site I am assisting on): We have searched everywhere and cannot find this setting any more. The only thing available is Forum Display. Is this something that was removed? If it was removed, are there plans on bringing it back? Thank you, RazorSEdge

When viewing category and Search results, the file version not showing. You have to enter each file to see full info. Why was this disappear in IPS4. I was pleased with 3.4 version with full visible control in category and search results. Is there any option to get the same view as IPB 3.4? IPS4 IPS 3.4

This might sound odd, but what I am referring to is for example, seminar which runs over say 3 days with different start/finish times. To keep things organised, could one not create a single "event" spanning multiple days with the sub-events listed with individual times. At present, I have to create entire seperate events on each day. Does it make sense, would anyone use it or am I expecting too much from a "Calendar"?

There are currently two minor issues i see with this. The first one is with "labels", and "descriptions". I can tell it to use another language string for the "label", but the description is still built from the elements name with "_desc" appeneded to it, can there be another property added that allows us to define a different description lang string than element name + "_desc". The second one, in IPS 3.x, in the acp form elements, if we didn't pass the ID parameter, the ID would default to the element name, can we make form helpers do something similar? this was is more of annoyance than anything, as there are 6 optional parameters that exist in between element name and…

Hi So in IPB4 you can create support tickets direct from the ACP and they then appear in your client area on the invisionpower.com website. What would be really useful is if you could still manage and see the support requests from the ACP to save logging in to the website and also introduce a notification system in the ACP so you know that a new response is waiting. Im sure this could be improved even further but just a couple of ideas to get started. Thanks

Is it possible to get it so the latest reply moves the topic back to the top as you can see the topic "Coupon" has just been replied to but its still 3rd? I don't want to use the latest post block as I don't like the layout and the fact it shows full blown photos at the top of the forum when I enabled it. I'd just like there to be an option which would order the topics in the order of last reply. Many thanks

I use Nexus in 3.4.7 for the add parts (and only that) this tool is simple and permit in one form to insert configure the behaviour of adds. for exemple the location via this simple menu were you have just to hi light your choice and that's all. (bellow 3.4.7 ip.nexus add locations menu) in 4.0 after migrating i discovered that the systems have "saved" my previous location but like the systems is more complexe i have to manually insert in each template specific code to do the same thing... I've installed a new IPS 4 site, created a couple of new forums to try them out, even created a custom theme. I figured I'd leave overall first impressions since I think they are helpful as to what feels intuitive and not intuitive -- what it would be like to a new user (even though I'm not new at all.) Overall, there is a great deal to be impressed about IPS 4 which should not be taken away from constructive comments, all which are just IMHO. Control Panel - Clean but Inefficient. I expect the submenu to scroll beyond the readable area with Calendar and Blogs being pushed off the screen. If the Admin is going to be vertical, I'd prefer it appear the same way the old vBul…

Hello. I think, that Downloads and Blogs statistics in widgets on Dashboard is a bad idea. What I can do, if I need to see the statistics, but i'm from phone? I need go to dashboard, add widget, read the data and close widget. Maybe it is long path? And all logs are "scattered" in ACP. System and Error logs in "Support", E-mail error log in E-Mail settings, and etc... I suggest to create one page in ACP with all statistc and logs. Same as in IPB3. It will be more usable. Thank you.
